HELP A DISABLED TRANS WOMAN ESCAPE FLORIDA

BEFORE IT GETS ANY WORSE

Florida recently passed horrific anti trans laws including felony charges for using the "incorrect" bathroom, and getting your gender marker changed counts as "identity fraud". Also, HRT meds are no longer eligible for refills. With trump AND desantis in Florida, and this being an election year, it's looking like the political environment is about to become even more hostile. Like most trans people are feeling now, it seems like the closest is the safest place to be.

In order to relocate to a new home in a different state (one that welcomes trans people), I'm accepting donations starting now to raise funds for moving. Estimated $2000 cost to move essential, irreplaceable items, and also includes flight ticket fees and miscellaneous other things.

I'm setting the deadline at Sept 1st, before the election starts becoming a thing, and also before the weather turns too cold for heavy lifting during unpacking.

I will lose a job opportunity and medication if I do not raise 70$ before Tuesday. It is currently Sunday.

I’m a disabled black person who is due to take a test to get my license as a paraprofessional on the 30th. However, I am low on gas and will not be able to make the test unless I am able to secure 30$ in gas money. On top of that, I am running low on my antidepressants and antipsychotics that I, as a schizophrenic person, need to function. These medications are uninsured, and are 40$. I will not be able to reschedule the test, as it costs 90$ to take. Please, absolutely anything helps.

While we're at it: using language that downplays genocide is a form of genocide denial.

Joe Biden isn't doing a bad job, Joe Biden is providing material support for genocide.

Israel isn't handling the situation badly, Israel is committing genocide.

Employing euphemisms minimizes the reality of this genocide. It's disrespectful and dangerous.

If you are more uncomfortable with the word genocide than you are with the reality of genocide, then you are not prepared to be part of any serious discussion. Work on that on your own time.

a weird thing is that we got waves of people going "who cares if its cringe or youre annoying! have fun!" but no one really learned how to accept the fact that some people will find you annoying or think your art or your work or posts or anyrhing sucks and thats ok. rather it just became a weird "if people think youre annoying theyre just morally bad. let people enjoy things!". like no i think this yes man only biome sucks and people are allowed to not like artstyles and shows and media and other things
