OOH yes... a buddy switch-up would be so fun! after all, like how was he placed with ratgrinders? could have been by default bc they lost their cleric, but if his 'niceness' and seeming oblivious ab his party was to some extent a facade that could be so interesting. something something the church of helio losing numbers, the whole sol/ankarna thing, etc. reminds me of a line from an early ep -- "kipperlilly is such a blessing" -- could be platitudes or naivety but could also be true. alternatively, b/c trg are so high level and buddy doesn't (at least from what we've been privy to) seem to be the smartest, i think they could have easily been doing some magical manipulation of truth or memories, though i don't necessarily think that's super likely idk.

also yes agreed about the mystery rolls! i do have a lot of questions about how bobby plays into this. i saw someone say that b/c buddy's death would make trg go pass/fail, their (or at least kipperlilly's) longterm goal must be something outside of school, which makes me think kristen's expulsion wasn't orchestrated by them for election reasosn (it could have been to set up the situation with buddy/kill the proctor/frame tbk, or it could have just been the plot thread brennan wanted to use to force tbk to take the last stand as kinda referenced in the adventuring party). so bobby would either have to be a) unaware of trg and their god-related schemes or b) in DEEP cover, given the fact that kristen owned his cds (lol) so he's clearly been a prominent follower of helio/sol for a while. very interesting to think about in the context of the scene where kristen succeeded on the deception rolls saying she was going back to helio, but brennan said that wouldn't change bobby's opinion, bc his goal was expelling her not bringing her back.

but totally agree that "YES?!" question is 100% gonna come into this. tbk didn't pick up on it but "where" is such a conspicuous question, there's gotta be some sort of plan there. after all, in the scene, oisín and klck did planeshift away!

i think it says something very interesting about kipperlilly's character that she chose to go to therapy with jawbone. and even continued for three whole years -- based on the riz stuff and the info from the files, it seems like she was there making some genuine effort or at least being truthful. which, if she was some pure evil scheming villian, would be deeply unstrategic -- revealing these sentiments to someone who lives with her rivals? penelope everpetal (our blueprint for a fh teen character who is mostly presented as "simply evil") certainly wasn't going to jawbone or that other guy, she wasn't even confiding in sam! if this is a long game effort to take over the world or something, going to counseling like this would just be an unnecessary risk (especially because jawbone literally lives with half of tbk) or a waste of time.

so imo this suggests that something must have changed, or some influencing factor must have come into play (maybe over the night yorb summer?) that led klck and the ratgrinders to be in this position -- like the level of relevance and the intra-group issues (ex: buddy homicide lmao) given to the ratgrinders make it soooo clear to me that they're not just pure evil fodder for the bad kids to beat in a fight. after all, in a season about the harms of a school system that pushes overworking and grades over students' wellbeing, aren't the ratgrinders, these kids who've fully bought into it at great personal expense, victims too?
