John Holcroft’s Satirical Illustrations Of Today’s Problems
John Holcroft is an illustrator based in England. Graduating in the 90s he started going freelance, working in acrylics on board. Since then he has reinvented himself many times. Currently he works digitally but emulates a screen print style, rather like 1950s poster ads. John has widened his repertoire in order to appeal to different markets such as publishing, editorial, advertising and design. His success is due to the various ways in which his style can be used whether it be for a child’s simplistic book illustration or a more edgy image to illustrate a more serious subject.
For those who are familiar with his name, you will be aware of the cutting, satirical messages in his concepts, however this is just one side to his work.
Over the past 20 years John Holcroft has worked with some of the biggest names from all over the world: Financial Times, BBC, Reader’s Digest, Economist, New York Times,Informa, Experien to name a few. Holcroft lives and works in Yorkshire.

Labyrinth of Keys and Yarn - Installation by Chiharu Shiota
With her new project titled “The Key in the Hand”, artist Chiharu Shiota will represent Japan at the 56th Venice Biennale, which run from 9 May till 22 November, 2015.
Her newest work is based on a site-specific installation made up of over 50,000 keys which explores the notion of memory. Visitors to the Japan Pavilion will traverse a great cloud of keys hanging from red yarn. In placing spectator’s bodies at the heart of her work, Chiharu Shiota seeks to harness the expressive power of installations, which she describes as “the philosophy of the instant”.

Miniature Calendar
Starting in 2011, Tatsuya Tanaka has been framing scenes of miniature bliss into diorama-esque photographs that have effortlessly captivated his audience for years. Using everyday items easily found around the house or within a grocery store, Tatsuya can create a lush forest just by using broccoli and bits of parsley. Want to recreate a peaceful afternoon on the golf course? Use a grass colored shoe sole and position some figurines on or around the cup.
It’s truly amazing what Tatsuya can do with literally anything he puts his hand on. He serves as a true testament to the creative spirit.

Paintings by Jeremy Mann
San Francisco-based artist Jeremy Mann (born 1979) creates mysteriously brooding urban cityscapes, human figures, landscapes, and still life with oil paints, surface staining, the use of solvents to wipe off paint, and ink brayers.  Living in downtown San Francisco, Mann paints his immediate surroundings with intimate, dynamic expression. A number of unique compositions are inspired from the city’s pavement, where reflected street lamps and neon signs glitter in the rain. In each work, Mann imbues the city with drama, mood, and personality.

Illustrations by David Cristobal Lozano
David Cristobal Lozano (born in Madrid in 1979) studied at the Fine Arts University of Madrid. He decided to become a teacher in a primary school and stopped painting for quite a long time. David moved to Milan and fell in love and since then he went back to the arts….
He started to draw because he was very attracted to the interpretations of words, concepts or ideas, that came directly from himself, or were inspired by other people or artists. Always trying to create a personal style.  Working in a school for many years helped him to learn a lot lot about  illustrated children’s books and novels  via
