I am not an angel, I asserted and I will not be one till I die: I will be myself. Mr. Rochester, you must neither expect nor exact anything celestial of meâŚfor you will not get it, any more than I shall get it of you: which I do not at all anticipate.
-Charlotte BrontĂŤ, Jane Eyre

Iâve never fallen in love right off the bat. I get scared to say I love you too soon because it means so much. It means youâre not seeing an end to things.

Nothing exciting. Just Ministry and work things. How about you? Got a game coming up?
I suppose I will. [He paused.] So what have you been up to?

âI do appreciate complete strangers telling me how to behave,â She rolled her eyes. âPlease. Donât concern yourself over matters that have absolutely nothing to do with you.â
âThen your default is just rude, which is fine, if thatâs the life you want.âÂ

Itâs only a matter of getting used to it.
Why does food here smell so funny?

Hey if I had, it would have totally been your own fault. Canât blame me for petrifying sneaking trespassers. Thatâs brilliant, oh my goodness, Iâm so happy for you. Even though it was always obvious you would make it so itâs no surprise really. Really? The Silver Arrow isnât even available in the market yet!
I know - itâs called a surprise! No need to try and Petrificus Totalus me, Em, goodness. [ she places a hand on her heart, laughing in amusement ] It did go amazingly - ugh, where do I start? The training grounds are gorgeous. Everything is state of the art - the hoops, even our brooms. Did you know they gave me a new one!? A Silver Arrow. Can you believe it?

She shrugs. You donât have to like the characters to appreciate the book. I agree, Heathcliff was messed up but he was supposed to be dark and frightening. She laughed. Well. Iâll try not to.
Yes, I have. I didnât like it a lot. That mate Heathcliff was sick on the head. No one does such things for love. Itâs completely ridiculous. (He snorts) Are you going to declare your undying love?Â

Not really, your replacement will also have to annoy me every so often. That part might be tough but Iâm sure I can find someone. Looks kind of uneven to me. Try it. I assure you I wonât. At all. If I did want that, would you?
Mmm, I suppose thatâs fair enough. You wouldnât be looking for anything, iâm irreplaceable. Oi, my hair is nice. Itâs very soft too. Thor ran a hand through his hair subconsciously. Oh please, youâd miss the sickly sweet nicknames if they were gone. Do you want me to leave you alone?

Makes sense. Suit yourself then.

âYes, Iâm really enjoying it as well,â She smiled. She glanced back at the pages before looking at Charity, âOh, Heathcliff just kicked the lid off of the coffin. I have read it before, yes. But not in a while.â
Charity gasped, automatically excited.Â
âOh, I love Wuthering Heights! What part are you at? Have you read it before?â

Emma looks up after a few moment. âUm- itâs Wuthering Heights.â
Charity nodded and waited diligently, as she always did.
âOh, uh, okay. What are you reading?â

She is, yes! Emily, Anne and Charlotte. Emma laughed. You have a point, magic would have made a huge difference. It kind of puts things in perspective, though, donât you think? How life would be without magic. I think Wuthering Heights is much more darker and while Jane Eyre had a clean ending but this book is much more... depressing. And I think itâs a harder read. Theyâre both gothic and set in England but apart from that, they could not be more different.
Sheâs one of those muggle sisters, right? the only one of those I read was Jane Eyre. As easy as magic would have made those charactersâ lives, I did appreciate some of the themes. Is that one similar?

But itâs not. Its quite dark but itâs also very thought provoking. And itâs a hard read initially but you cannot possibly put it down when you start reading. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, you should read it actually if you havenât already. Well.. not practiced in the mirror per se, but I have thought about it. She scoffs, shaking her head. Iâm sure he wonât.
It can be a lame classic. (He shrugs) Are you ready to go? Have you practised what youâre going to say to Kevin in front of the mirror? Maybe heâll start crying.Â
