Sanji Absolutely Dotes on Zoro in French

-He does so in an insulting tone so the marimo doesn't get any ideas

-It starts around Lodetown, when he can't quite keep his feelings in check. It's not like the swordsman will ever understand him anyways.

-Sanji knew it probably wasn't the best way to pack off his feelings, but since when did he believe in healthy ways of dealing with his problems?

-Nami, Robin, and Brook pick up on it (Nami knows enough French to get through a conversation if she has to, Robin knows like 6 languages so that's a given, and Brooke only knows romantic phrases in French, not that he uses it)

-Brook almost asks Sanji about it but he sidesteps the shit out of that conversation (He saw what happened at Thriller Bark, he doesn't need more information)

-Post Thriller Bark with Sanji and Zoro getting on a little better he absolutely triples down on the compliments. He doesn't tell Zoro what the words mean because at this point? It would be too embarrassing to tell him. He's been at it too long.

-During the timeskip though to give him something to surprise Sanji with, Zoro decides to try to pick up French so he can hurl the insults back at him.

-Mihawk begrudgingly agrees to help him with the basics and any insults he can think to teach him. Perona starts chiming in later with "useless" French words.

-He catches so much shit from Perona when he starts piecing together that most of what Sanji has been calling him aren't in fact insults. It's mostly gushy pet names and compliments.

-When they meet up on Saobody again, he waits till they bicker to tease him with it.

-Sanji starts muttering sweet things in French under his breath as he usually does, then Zoro responds by needling back with compliments of his own.

-This catches Sanji totally off guard. His face goes deep red and he starts stringing actual insults out in French. He covers his face with one of his hands, but it doesn't stop a sheepish, bashful smile from creeping up his face.

- "So you can learn new tricks that don't have to do with swords, eh Marimo?" He'd say, eventually grabbing Zoro's hand.

-Later, Zoro gets Sanji to keep teaching him French since he'd lose the practice if not.

Thriller Bark has made it where I cannot be a normal person about ZoSan anymore.

Spoilers for thriller bark under the cut but this is a soft continuation of this post and it's tags.

-So Sanji sacrificing himself for Zoro's dream screams devotion

-Because he gave up his dream for one character in One Piece before, just before he left with Luffy -He was willing to give up seeing All Blue to make sure Zeff could make the Baratie the best and most well known restaurant on the East Blue

-It took him a lot of convincing to go with Luffy to see his own dream, because to Sanji, his father figure's dream meant more than his dream and his life

-And he does it again for Zoro. He sees Zoro might die and he is on board to die so Zoro can see his dream

-It shows just how deeply Sanji cares for Zoro. He's willing to give him everything including his life so he can be the best damn swordsman in the world

-And then Zoro immediately knocking him back out so he doesn't die for his life. -And Sanji's desperate *cling* to him as he tries to stay conscious?

-These two at this point are so mutually down bad.Z

Zoro and Sanji are either oblivious of their feelings or married in secret impulsively with no in between in my brain. The fact that Luffy can officiate legally binding weddings due to being a pirate captain has made that my intrusive thought.

Personal Zosan Headcanons

-So I'm of the belief that Sanji fell first

-He's the love at first sight guy he's just pissy when it's a guy BC the respects women, not men.

-So it's as early as Baratie for Sanji

-Zeff of course notices day one because that's his eggplant of course he sees when he's fawning over a man. Knowing the line of the Baratie they all are likely to tease him about it.

-And I like to believe that when he's smitten by a guy little hearts do tumble off his smoke clouds, they're just easy to miss.

-Zoro on the other hand is living the slow burn life.

-That's a sword idiot do you think he's thought of an emotion since Kuina passed? All he knows is rage. If he felt anything romantic it wouldn't hit him very quickly.

-Sanji thought when he went with the straw hats that the crush would just kind of blow over.

-But instead of getting over it with the bickering it got worse.

-Usopp is the first to spot the little hearts when Sanji is bickering with Zoro.

-Of course Sanji denies that much because he'll be damned if anyone figures out.

-If anyone can get it out of him in a conversation, it'll be Luffy. Not that Luffy will notice in a timely manner, aroace king that he is.

-Zoro doesn't start noticing anything until the games with the foxy pirates.

-He'll notice what those feelings mean at some point.

-For now where I'm caught up? No. But the fact they bicker more means something in my head.
