Do you “boo” your neighbors? It’s a fun tradition I’ve been doing for over 10 years! You make a basket filled with goodies for the whole family and you leave it on their door step and dingdong ditch! Then they have to boo somebody else. This was our basket this year. For the first time ever I used a legitimate laundry basket! LOL! With 4 teenagers, Forced Family Fun is more important than ever. So I decided they had to join me for @the13thacre haunted trail walk and it didn’t disappoint!! It’s about a 30 min walk through the woods and old shed/trailers where you get chased by men with chainsaws and walk through dark, tight mazes! Omg it’s the best!! Last night I took the teenagers to @comedyzoneclt to see @ryankellycomedy , AKA Youth Pastor Ryan (no school today). This was their first experience seeing stand up comedy and they loved it! Ryan has been a Tik Tok favorite of theirs so we had to go. It was so freakin nice to have a “regular” night out on the town with my teens. In 1887, Oregon became the first state of the United States to make Labor Day an official public holiday. By 1894, thirty U.S. states were already officially celebrating Labor Day. In that year, Congress passed a bill recognizing the first Monday of September as Labor Day and making it an official federal holiday. President Grover Cleveland signed the bill into law on June 28. The federal law, however, only made it a holiday for federal workers. As late as the 1930s, unions were encouraging workers to strike to make sure they got the day off.
