Help Me Take My Account Back

Hi, this is Pi, Pitheinfinite, the founder of @pis3update and @pis3story & the joint founder of ts3creatorscave.

About a month ago, my original account got suspended by tumblr with no reason provided. I followed the protocol and filed my complaint but my patience got no reward. No response. Nothing At All.

It's time to take some real actions I think. Please help me by urging @staff to give my account back. Even though I've been on hiatus for quite some time and still don't have much time for the game or the community at the moment, I want to keep the place I've built for years, knowing that I always have a home here to go to.

Besides, my story sideblog pis3story, unlike pis3update, has only one member/admin, and will go down with my original account.

Quite the Musician

Freddie got up just in time for work and Gerald worked on some writing again but was soon burned out. He's really taken to playing random pianos around town, so I sent him to go practice at the pavilion outside the business building and he started a jam session with some other townies and a tourist!

Another relationship is in the works!

After all that piano playing it was off to the sport's bar to relax!

And pick fights with the paparazzi...Wait? Does this girl actually like him reprimanding her?? Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Freddie is home from work and working out again. He looks like he's having fun LOL!

Well I've Never Seen this Before

It's another day of solitude for Gerald as he works hard to finish all those books!

I was beginning to notice at this point that the sims in this save are a little more...frisky than in most of my other saves...LOL!

Good job Gerald!

Gerald worked literally ALL DAY! By the time he was finished Freddie was heading home from work himself. No No No!! Please washer and dryer, DON'T explode!

Aww...It looks like we have our first teen romance. I sure hope this doesn't make Lawerence jealous, he is best friends with John and I thought he had an interest in Genevieve. I guess we'll have to see how this all progresses...

Poor Planning

It's Spooky Day so the guys planned a citywide party again! Unfortunately, they planned it hours before the venue opens for the night...

That didn't stop everyone from having a decent time at least!

Later in the afternoon the boys were off to the Lum household for another get together. Looks like there was a hired performer and a dress code my sims ignored!

Well after that eventful evening we begin day two with a beautiful sunny view of the park and some town news.

Gerald did some collecting once he got up.

OMG! Lawerence must have gotten his drivers license! Yay! Go Lawerence, you were always one of my favorite premade sims!

And Simili now wants her boyfriend to write a biography on her! I'll accept, but Gerald is already hard at work on his latest novel so I don't know he'll have time to finish this opportunity before my time with him is done.

Well...the seller didn't want less than asking and honestly, I'm relieved. We have a lot of projects left to complete to get the most from our house as possible, not to mention sell quickly. While I'm still going to be devoting a good portion of my days playing Sims decorator in my real life house, I feel like I can breathe more easily not having that tight deadline looming. Who knows... maybe we'll be in a better position to sell before the farm is bought by someone else, but for now...I may take the day off from renovations...phew!

Bring on the Rain

It's fall...or because I use nraas tempest to control my seasons...the beginning of rainy season!

Welcome to our new household, you may recognize Gerald here, who is a writer! He is roommates with Freddie Cox, a mean-spirited sim with criminal aspirations.

Of course I leave the household and immediately the Blue girls get a puppy they can't afford and Remi starts dating Andrew!

Freddie works out and Gerald is getting sick of writing for the day.

So he calls up Simili for a date!

They went to the Skybox which is at the top of the Art Museum...Well Gerald did, Simili just waited outside for him to go all the way up to order her a drink, I guess she'd rather stay outside in the dark than get drinks in the beautiful bar I created...LOL!

I gave the bartender a quick glow up and these two finally decided to make their way upstairs! They're behind the bar, but it's better than nothing I guess! Better hurry up guys, I'm pretty sure the bar is getting ready to close!

Yeah...not surprised!

Apparently, they had to make one more stop on their way out...

Lazy Summer Days

Here we are already at the end of the summer! Remi makes friends with literally everyone she talks to!

Ivy, meanwhile is off work today and reading at the library.

Leisure Day Party!

The girls threw a leisure day party and I invited as many young adult/adult sims a possible to kickstart their life stories!

Man, that townie I was hoping Remi would hook up with is chatting up another sim, Lori...ugh. Well that was kind of a dud as far as parties go...I may have to make a few more randomized sims. Maybe at least enough to make the base population as big as Redwood Harbor.

Up With the Sun

The girls live in probably my favorite apartment on the island! I love color, but not usually quite so much, however, I'm quite proud of how this little gem came together as a whole and it's the perfect fit for their artistic, beachy lifestyle!

Ivy is still asleep while Remi starts her day with computer games!

I set to work placing down other saved families and bin families to fill out the population. I have in my mind that the island is mostly a vacation destination with a small local population. I'm planning to build a resort and a bowling alley on some lots I left empty, but I actually haven't decided whether or not I want to make a festival lot. I kind of want to keep this playthrough a little sleepy and chill and I think there are already enough lots to keep locals and visitors busy.

** Side note: Got to love the Sims 3! This world was created with very few packs and there is STILL so much to keep my little simmies busy!

By the time I got back to the girls it was getting late and they've already made friends! Another of my old sims, Bella Rose dropped by and partied into the wee hours even after the girls went to bed, LOL!

Hey all! My queue is relatively filled up, but I wanted to let you know I won't be very active on here for a bit. A while ago my husband and I decided we wanted to move out of the city we're living in and into the country. Our house is not quite ready to list, but we've found a small farm that we love and put in an offer...so unless the owner flat out rejects our offer we have about two weeks to paint 2 ceilings, 4-5 rooms a bunch of trim and get some other stuff buttoned up like polishing all the cabinets in our kitchen! Oh and either get rid of or pack up a bunch of clothes and clutter for staging. Ugh! I'm so excited and anxious at the same time!

Welcome to the Island

I know, I know, I've shared most of these pictures in my last post, but I wanted to give a proper introduction to the Blue family! Ivy and Remi are sisters who've moved from my old saves bin straight onto the Isle of St. Bernie! Both girls are a little too laid back with their finances and I had trouble getting them to pay bills before the repo man showed up!

First order of business was to get the girls jobs! I thought their personalities were well suited to professions rather than careers, so Remi became a painter after she flirted with a random townie that is, and Ivy decided to join the lifeguard career. Hmm...seems like she's more interested in lounging while the sun sets...guess it's a good thing no one else is at the beach tonight!

⚠️ ADVISORY: Malicious Mods, Identity Theft, Malware, and You ⚠️

Hey, all! Not sure how many people will see this, but if you do, please reblog. This is a 'little' post regarding a potentially big problem affecting the Sims 4 community. If you download mods/CC at all (and yes I know CC is a type of mod), this applies to you.

TL;DR: For the sake of your personal info, identity, bank account, et cetera, please STOP downloading any mods/CC for the time being. Especially from the following sites: CurseForge, ModTheSims, The Sims Resource. It doesn't matter if you know the creator or not. Give it at least a week while we all figure out what's going on. If you must, I would recommend only downloading directly from a creator's Patreon (assuming they have one).

Other people have written at length about the mods in question, so I'll just share their posts below.

What's going on?

From the Sims 4 After Dark Discord server (a server you should join if you're not in it already):

⚠️If you downloaded any mod listed in the above post and played the game with them installed, this is the cleaner program Kuttoe (creator of the Home Regions and Townie Demographics mods) mentioned in their post: GitHub - overwolf/sims4-social-events-cleaner: Source files and exe release for a tool to clean up your machine if you have downloaded the "Social Events - Unlimited Time" Sims 4 mod ⚠️

Got confirmation from Kuttoe that as long as you didn't boot up the game with the malicious mods installed (or deleted them completely from your computer before playing the game), you *should* be fine. Still, I recommend that anyone who thinks they might have downloaded any of them run the cleaner program.

So, to recap:

Fake mods were uploaded to Curseforge, ModTheSims, and The Sims Resource

@msqsimsofficial had their account compromised on 2 of those sites (they are a victim of hacking, so do not send them hate!)

If downloaded, these malicious mods have the ability to steal very sensitive info (your passwords, credit card info if saved somewhere in your browser, data)

As of right now, antivirus software may not be able to detect the malware

Mac and Linux users seem to be safe; Windows users are the ones that could be affected

Why is this happening?

Unsure. Lots of theories are being made by people far more knowledgeable than me, but from the looks of things, could be crypto bullshit and/or an attempt to steal your data and sell it. This is very, very serious, and could wreck your life if said data/personal info falls into the wrong hands.

It's always a good idea to change passwords every couple of months or so, but if you think you've been affected, you also need to change your passwords for things like online banking, email and social media accounts, healthcare sites AFTER running the cleaner.

What now?

I want to talk about how we approach modding our games and downloading files in general.

Please STOP downloading mod file folders from people who did not create the specific mods. Period. This includes Sim dumps, building/lots with CC, mod folders promoted on YouTube, etc. This does not mean that anyone sharing them is doing so maliciously. In fact, I appreciate the amount of effort people put into compiling these resources! But unless you're super careful (and super knowledgeable), you run the risk of downloading malware like this on your computer. Make no mistake, the malicious files in question look like run-of-the-mill, everyday mods. Two of them were even posted from a trustworthy creator's actual account! The only way to know what they actually do is to peek into the code, and idk about you, but I don't know Python. So even after this issue is resolved, you really should only download files from the creators themselves.

But what about CC shopping?

Here's how I like to approach it: I stick to lookbooks and combing through the Patreons/accounts of creators who make items I like. If I see a Sim dump with CC that I'm interested, I try to reach out to the poster and ask where they got specific CC. If I can't do that, I see if it was shared via Drive, look at the individual files themselves, then head to the original CC creator's official download page and get it from the source.

I'm probably going to have to do a LOT of resculpting and rerouting in Pickerling Cove and I've still barely begun the project, but I have a TON of ideas! I'm probably not going to have most of the supernatural lot types, sorry for those supernatural players out there! I will have some really cool performance lots though and a LOT of family type activity lots! I'm just hoping to have enough lot types set up for every career in game and hopefully enough room for houses 😂

Oh, and hoping to keep it under 120 lots! Yikes! How are there so many different activities to do in the Sims 3!
