I think first Jacks would probably be like 😨

I mean I don’t think he’s ever really pictured himself as a father yk? Or at least he definitely let go of any idea of it a long time ago. He’d be terrified of doing something wrong, not being what the kid (and Eva) deserves.

But knowing that he gets to have that journey with Eva 🤭🤭

I think it would just melt him honestly. I think it’d be an entirely different side of Jacks, softer even than the ending of acftl. He’d want to take care of her, truly never let her out of his sight🫣. Make sure she’s comfortable and fed and as healthy as possible while he figures out how to be a father. Now he’s got two little hearts to protect.

asking everyone i see: (i want multiple opinions)

how do you imagine Jacks as a dad? He'd need a long time, to truly accept himself as being a capable person who deserves children, but what after?

It would ABSOLUTELY take a long time for him to accept that he is even deserving of the role, but after I think he would most likely follow Eva’s lead.

Obviously Eva is very nurturing and would fill a motherly role very well, so I think he would most likely watch her and try to observe how she handles things out of fear of doing something wrong.

I think Jacks would be incredibly anxious about being a bad father.

But after he gets past that first hurtle and is able to bond with his kid(s) I could see him being the fun, carefree parent next to Eva’s nurturing and probably a bit more careful role. I think he’d be the dad to sneak the kids out when moms not looking and take them on adventures, show them all the North has to offer and it’d be really cute if Eva one time caught them off doing something risky and we got to see her scold him for being so careless.

I think being a father would fill a hollow spot for him as well, having that unconditional love and seeing what a picket fence life has to offer. I think Jacks would realize that he doesn’t mind being a little normal.

i will never recover from the fact that jacks was straight up screaming when evangeline was killed like jacks, the prince of hearts, the fate who apparently feels nothing for her was screaming in agony over her body described as “the sort of raw grief that was only seen once a century” like?/!:?:! this was such a vast difference to the front he puts up consistently like my man really exploded with emotion the second evangeline was dying like i’ve still not processed it.
