10 characters that i feel thankful for

Good morning passengers. Happy thanksgiving. This is your captain, Fanta, speaking. I would like to begin by welcoming everyone onboard to Flight BL777, outbound to all around the world. Please fasten your seatbelts. The plane is about to take off.

Today I'm taking you to visit the countries of characters I feel thankful for. It was due to these people that I started to watch series from so many countries and this list is in chronological order. For now, just sit back and relax. Please feel free to take some snacks and drinks from the service trolleys.

Alright, we've arrived at our first stop. Please look down from your windows, this is Bristol, the hometown of this high school boy.

I feel thankful for Maxxie's attitude of never doubting himself. I was totally enthralled by his determination. Maxxie loved dancing and he wanted to be a professional dancer. Even though there were times that people bullied him for his hobby and jeered at him for having such a dream, he had always been true to himself and not afraid of being who he was.

We are currently cruising at an altitude of 33,000 feet and at an airspeed of 400 miles per hour. Let's look outside the windows! This is Sao Paulo, a city with a subtropical climate.

I am thankful for Gabriel because once he knew who he was, he learned to communicate with himself and accept his identity instead of leading people on and hurting them. Gabriel was a new student. He was kind and understanding and he was open-minded to things and feelings that were new to him.

With the tailwind on our side, we are expecting to land in Pittsburgh in approximately thirteen minutes ahead of schedule. This was the city where a problematic boy lived.

Hunter was my favourite character from this series despite the fact that he was very messed up. I really appreciated his willingness to change into a better person. He made me feel thankful that I grew up in a loving family.

Madrid's weather is sunny and clear skies today, with a cool 13 degrees celsius for this afternoon. Now let's meet a boy who attended one of the most prestigious schools with his mum as the principal.

I feel thankful because I've learnt from Ander that harbouring the truth doesn't mean the same thing as being kind. When you protect one friend or think that doing so is good for them, you might be actually hurting them. I've also learnt from him that to communicate your feelings with people is better than to lie. After all, your mental health is a priority.

If the weather continues to be well, we should be getting a clear scenic view of this city. Well, there! That tall building is Taipei 101!

This was the first official bl series that I watched so I feel very thankful to Xia Yu-Hao. He is the main reason that I can rewatch this series over and over. I like his straightforwardness, being brave enough to speak what's on his mind.

Our next stop is Bangkok. There are so many delicious cuisines that I want to taste. But for now, let's meet this fun guy.

He was indeed an interesting character. What I loved most about him was certainly that megaphone confession. I feel so thankful for that scene because it's my favourite love confession in all bl series. I'm just that cliche. Every time I rewatch that scene, I can see that my ultimate fantasy is being realised and I feel very happy. (I know. It's a weird thing to say during a captain announcement, but please bear with me.)

The time is now 8:23 pm and the weather outside looks misty today because we have arrived in Beijing, a city full of history.

I have a pet peeve when it comes to films, series and books. I dislike characters who are weak, can't defend themselves and always need someone to come to rescue them. I like Xia Yao because he had a lot of crazy ideas to get rid of Yuan Zong, but those tricks never worked once. I feel thankful for Xia Yao's fighting skills and his love for friends. By the way, I learnt martial arts when I was in primary school.

With the tailwind against our side, we are expecting to land in Seoul approximately forty minutes behind schedule. Let me introduce you this lovely guy first.

I feel thankful to have met him. He is the reason why I started watching korean dramas and films. At first, I didn't want my ears to learn another language, but well, I met Han Taejoo. He not only made me rewatched Where Your Eyes Linger three times already but also allowed me to find some great thriller movies. p.s. Forgotten is my favourite.

The weather in Tokyo is currently sunny, with a relaxing 18 degrees celsius for this evening. Here is the cutest boy on this list.

I feel thankful for Aoki because I've learnt from him to try to see the good in people and to discover other's traits. He was truly a special character and seeing his expressions could always bring me joy.

If the weather continues to be well, we should be getting an amazing scenic view of the final city prior to landing. Welcome to Saigon!

I don't remember how I came across this series; however, I was glad that I met Duong. I feel thankful for him because it was him that I started to watch vietnamese bls. I haven't watched a lot but so far, most of them are quite good.

Hey guys, welcome to Fanta's blog. How have you been? Today I'm going to share with you some characters I love to hate. Spoiler alert: mostly hate.

When the challenge announcement post dropped, I asked myself if there was any characters I loved to hate. Hmm...just one. But if we were talking about characters I disliked, oh baby, there were a ton. I've noticed that nobody has participated in this yet. I suppose it's because blda is a place to spread love and positivity. Truly nobody wants to curse a character that's likely to be others' favourite. So here I am, ready for all the criticism.

Just kidding. I'm not that brave. If your beloved character is on this list, please forgive me for whatever I'm going to say.

I love you, Krist, but I found Arthit very unbearable. I had a two-day sotus thingy when I was a freshman and sophomore in middle school and in high school. So...yeah, I attended that sotus thingy four times and those were all mandatory.

The thing is: I'm the kind of person who absolutely hate people who order me to do stuff. SOTUS just hit way too close to home for me. Watching this series didn't bring me closure but instead, dig out my hatred toward hazers. I knew it was projection but...since this was exactly something personal, I just couldn't help it.

When I thought about the time I watched this series, it felt like decades ago. I now have vague memory of the plot but I do remember this was the very series that taught me what second couple syndrome was.

The reason why I didn't like Pete was simple. The insecurity was eating him which resulted in him not giving Kao enough trust. He was loaded with jealousy. I genuinely feel that if he tuned that down 50%, things would've been a lot easier.

Committing suicide is never the right way out. If you have constant negative thoughts, don't bottle them up; instead, talk to someone, write down your emotions or seek professional help.

I appreciated how the storyline of this series was so well-woven and fantastical. Nevertheless, the keep-it-in-the-family trope was not what I would like to remember. If you don't know what I'm referring to, it's for the best.

Other than being suicidal, there was nothing else I disliked about Korn, but then again, blowing your brain out in front of your loved one was inexcusable. He had caused tremendous misery for everyone around him and me because I had to learn about the slightly incentuous trope.

Theory Of Love is one of my all-time favourite bl series, but to be honest, I secretly hated Khai. He gave Third just enough attention to keep his hopes too high and then kept on going with his player personality with all the girls.

Well...since he was played by P'Off and he was the best friend of Third, I just had to cut him some slacks.

I hated this character with a passion. I was disgusted by how he treated Pai. His so-called logic to motivate his secret crush was definitely out-of-the-world and a complete torment for me to watch.

Ittikorn's love confession was creepy as heck too. He stalked Pai and took photos of him and then he decorated a room with them like it was the most romantic thing ever. Ugh, please! The mental abuse throughout years that he had put Pai through was something I could never overlook.

Newsflash: I don't even like Pai but if hating Itt were a subject at school, I'd ace it with flying score.

Now we're five down and five more to go. Before we get into our top five criminals (yup, they all can be charged with crimes), let's take a look at some Bright because things are about to get really dark.

You're shocked when you see this face here. You didn't expect to encounter this name on the list. You're now wondering whether I have mistaken. I haven't. Afterall, the subgenre of TharnType is horror.

Last month, I thought about this series and it occurred to me that I'd never rewatched it, so why not? I then watched the first episode for the second time and that was it. I couldn't bring myself to keep watching, knowing that Tharn sexually abused Type when Type was drunk as a revenge after Type claimed that he hated gays.

Nope. This was not acceptable. Tharn was f*cked in the head. Maybe he and Lhong did deserve each other.

𝕏𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕘 ℍ𝕒𝕠𝕋𝕚𝕟𝕘 ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴍᴀᴋᴇ ᴏᴜʀ ᴅᴀʏꜱ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ

He thought Yu XiGu, a grade A student, was hitting on his girlfriend so he became an apologetic bully to him, constantly harassing him both verbally and physically. He was horrible to his schoolmate. It was like Itt 2.0. He knew how much good grades meant for Yu XiGu yet on the exam day, Xiang HaoTing went to his house very early just to keep that poor boy inside of his one-bed flat, purposely let him miss the exam.

As a real grade A student, if someone do this to me, I'll certainly make him pay.

Then on day, out of the blue, Xiang HaoTing started to have feelings for Yu XiGu. Huh? What? This made no sense at all.

𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑

𝔾𝕦 ℍ𝕒𝕚 ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴀᴅᴅɪᴄᴛᴇᴅ

I admit that I might confuse the Gu Hai in book with the one in the series. My memory has deteriorated thanks to covid. From what I remember, in the series Gu Hai was still quite a violent character. Not only did he beat some school mate you but also he was very controlling. I couldn't like him a bit after he kidnapped Bai Luo Yin and handcuffed him to his bed. (Did this happened in the series or the book? I can't tell.) You don't want to know what happened next in the novel. Trust me.

Well, now we're talking about the Gu Hai in the series. I'm here to claim that I hated him already way before I read the book.

This guy was the king of evilness. Yes, he had some mental illness for sure, but that didn't justify his action -- he'd instigated a group of people to rape a high schooler just because that kid was in a relationship with someone he was obsessed with.

What made me hate him more was that I used to like him a lot before he was revealed to be the plot twist all along. I put the anger of my naivity on him. So bye-bye, Lhong. Have a nice life in jail.

𝔽𝕦 𝕐𝕠𝕟𝕘𝕁𝕚𝕖 ꜰʀᴏᴍ ʜɪꜱᴛᴏʀʏ4: ᴄʟᴏꜱᴇ ᴛᴏ ʏᴏᴜ

Why? Just why? I wasn't planning on watching this series but I still did it for Andrew Tan, the singer behind the soundtracks of HIStory4 and HIStory5.

But then there was Fu YongJie, the devil's spawn and the devil himself (in his female form of course) -- the mother.

God! Fu YongJie's mind was so twisted that he believed by sexually assaulting his step-brother would make him realise his sexuality. What a sick fu*k! Ye XingSi was a kind person and he did this to him. He was definitely a psychopath.

Then the mother found out about what her son did. Instead of educating him or reporting him to the police as I would prefer, she turned a blind eye to it. How could she? Fu YongJie even recorded a video of the rape and used it to blackmail Ye XingSi to be with him.

By the way, falling in love with your rapist psychopathic step-brother made you a nutcase as well.

2021 Series And Films That I'm Excited For

Hello people, it's Fanta here 👋

2021! I can't wait for it to arrive. There are so many new shows that I'm excited for. There are so many old shows coming back next year. Also, there are movies that got delayed due to the horrifying pandemic.

As much as I love Thai dramas not lakorns, rarely soaps except for Revenge and Dynasty lol, I miss my American crime shows so bad. I've been thinking about picking up NCIS, but there are so many seasons. It seems daunting.

I'm hoping all the best for 2021!

Okay. Enough blabbering, here are the series and films that I'm excited for.

- 2 Sentence Horror Stories (US)

I enjoyed watching the first season. I'm really happy to hear that they're bringing back another season.

- 46 Days

- 911 (US)

I can't wait for the third season even though I haven't watched the second one 😅 I just have high hopes for the 911 team.

- American Horror Story (US)

Season 10! I need it now. I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed that Cody Fern won't be there, but Sarah Paulson and Kathy Bates and Evan Peters!!!

- Bad Buddy

The trailer has got me screaming because Ohm's back as a gay character! I think it's more interesting that Nanon's playing one.

- Baker Boys

Is it a BL? Is it not? What a mystery! Either way, I'm definitely gonna watch this drama since it sets place in a cafe, there are missing kids, it seems cute, there's Singto, and I haven't watched anything with Lee in it yet.

- Drag, I Love You

This reminds me so much of the performances in CSI's casinos. It has such an interesting setting. I'd love to watch a series about drag characters. And also, I haven't watched any series with Joss in it before.

- Enchanté

I have to say that it's true that the actors all look kinda alike to me, but I'm sure that I'll be able to tell them apart once I see them more. Besides, the idea of this drama, leaving notes inside a book in the library, is just absolutely dreamy.

- Fish Upon The Sky

It's cool that gmm has decided to separate Phuwin and Neo pairing. Like nobody would have guessed that. But still, this series seems promising with the idea of love rivals falling for each other.

- Irresistible

Well, not just him haha. The six-minite trailer seems really interesting, but I'm afraid that's all for the series. Hope not.

A male strip club? Sounds crazily funny, hahahaha. It makes me think of Justin being a gogo boy from Queer As Folk. Moreover, there are so many familiar faces, except for the women, Lee and the dude on the right.

Wonder how I know about Lee and Joss even though I haven't seen them on any show before but not the dude on the right?

It's a mystery. I have no idea how I just do.

- Never Too Late

Even if I'm not neither 15 nor 55, I have a feeling that I'll enjoy it. With teen characters and middle-aged characters, the story is gonna be great.

Upper class people, that means the wardrobe choice needs to be awesome. I'm counting on it. I want a fashion show. Oh, there's a murder? And Tay's an inspector? Hell yeah.

- The Rookie (US)

I can't wait to get more stories from the officers! I've been expecting you for a long time.

- Top Secret Together

There are five couples in this drama, but I guess I won't be focusing on all of them. Sorry, it's just the truth. My preference so far from the trailer is the intern one.

Perth and Bas in an action movie with a title like that and it's set to premiere on Valentine's Day...? Yeah right. Tell me it's not a BL. I hate my expectations to be built up.

- Feb. 19th, Antlers

I feel like I've seen this film before. Maybe it's a deja vu thing. However, since it's a gory horror, I can't say no to that.

- Mar. 19th, Morbius

A Marvel movie about Morbius the vampire from Spider-Man. Yes please. Please give a movie to every villain from Spider-Man.

- Apr. 23rd, Last Night In Soho

1) it's a psychological horror 2) it stars Anya Taylor Joy.

- May 21st, Spiral

A new installment in Saw franchise. I can't wait for this one even though the trailer doesn't seem very thrilling...

- Jun. 24th, Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Finally! I've been expecting the sequel since that day I left the cinema.

- Jul. 30th, Jungle Cruise

Dwayne Johnson's movies can never fail me. I love this man and I have mad respect for him.

- Dec. 17th, Spider-Man 3

The Tom Holland comedic Spider-Man will be back for the third round! I'm super excited for this one.
