"Nice name," the first girl said. "I'm Leyla and this is my sister Leyli."
"We're just curious! We don't get many visitors in our village," the second girl, Leyli, explained. "You've got a really fair complexion."

“Wow,way to make a guy feel welcome, callin’ him old.Hello to you too.” He said with a frown.
“I’m Broderick,or Bro for short,I’m from Texas, and I’m not even sure why I’m here myself, but I’m sure as hell not here to be called old and then bombarded with questions. Why the sudden interrogation, anyway?” He tried to ask both of them.If they could ask questions,he should at least be allowed ask one.

"Hey it's an old guy!" the girl on the left stated, staring at the newcomer.
"Who are you? Where are you from? Why are you here?" asked her sister, circling him.

"Oh my! We're so tired, everyone! It's time we must leave!"
"Please try to carry on without us, though we know it will be so difficult."
"Hehe! Goodnight everyone!"

"Onward!" they cheer. They have to push the boat off the side of the dock, and use oars, but neither seems to bother them. They row out into the sea with ease, though the waves rock the boat slightly.
"So, do you guys fish and stuff where you come from?" Leyla asked, fiddling with the nets.
"Yeah, what do you do anyway?"
Was that a reference to-? No, you’re sure it wasn’t. That’s impossible.
You hop into the boat as well and sit next to Leyli. You’ve never been in a boat before (that you can remember), but how bad could it be?

"Oh hey! Someone new!" the girl on the left gasped, racing up to greet the newcomer.
"Hello there!" her twin smiled. "Welcome to our village! What's your name? Were are you from? Your hair is very beautiful, how did you get it like that? How old are you? Oh we do hope you'll stay for a while!"

"...Think he can handle it Leyla?"
"Why not give him a shot. Just don't get seasick, okay?" Leyla warned, hopping into the boat. Leyli worked on releasing the moorings of the vessel.
"Get in loser, we're going fishing!" she teased, patting the empty spot on the bench next to her.
“They weren’t lying. Most things in the city are made out of stone.”
You look at Leyli with just a bit of agitation in your expression. “I can handle it! I’m not some chickenshit who can’t even ride a boat without freaking out.”

"City," Leyla repeated, a far away look on her face. "I heard some people say that cities in other countries are made out of stone. Not like big, grouped villages like ours."
"Want to go on it?" Leyli offered. "If you think you can handle it, that is."
Tumblr media
“It’s not really anything special. I live close to the city. It’s not really a good place to go if you’re expecting everyone to be nice and care about each other. I take care of my friend’s house and flower shop for her. She has a big house, so it’s pretty neat.”
You look over in the direction she points. You were expecting something like that. “Yeah, it’s cool.”

"What's your home like?" Leyli asked, walking through the town. In the distance were a collection of boats.
"Oh see that boat? That one in the back? That's ours! Nice, isnt it?" Leyla pointed at a small wooden canoe-like boat. A pile of fishing nets were inside of it.
“I don’t think a whole lot of places are like that. I might be wrong. But, I mean, it’s nothing like that where I live.”
You shrug. “Sure. Why not?”

"Well, yeah! I guess we're all kind of proud of it," Leyla scratched her cheek. "We have to help keep it running, make sure we can survive. It's like we're all parts of the body that is our village. Or something like that."
"...Hey! Want to see our boat?" Leyli offered, a smile on her face.
“Huh” You listen to the two of them talk while you look around the place. “It seems like a pretty nice place. At least, the two of you sound like you’re pretty proud of it.”

"Well of course!" Leyli said, entering the village. "Our village is right next to the Aral Sea. It's the most beautiful sea in the world! Or, well, at least we all think so."
Tumblr media
"Most of us fish or take care of cattle," Leyla explained. "There's also a decent sized market place too. Most of us aren't very rich, but that's never been a problem for us. We always have enough food and supplies."
You nod and follow them towards the village, thinking all the while What am I getting myself into?. You really aren’t sure why you agreed to come or what you were expecting, but you’re here now, so it’s really too late to change your mind.
“This place is a lot different than where I live.”

"Yeah yeah, just follow us!" Leyla commanded, leading the way.
After what seemed like an obnoxiously long walk, they arrived at a small village next to a sprawling sea. "Ta-da! Here we are! Home!"
You glance in Leyli’s direction, but don’t say another word to her. You don’t want to piss her off too much.
“I don’t exactly go out of my way to make trouble.”

"Hey! It's not like there's anything wrong with us!" Leyli huffed. "Who wouldn't want us as wives? We're beautiful, strong women! We'd make the ideal wives!"
"Oh yeah, sure!" Leyla muttered. "C'mon, we'll show you the way. Don't make trouble, okay? We don't want to get blamed for your mistakes!"
“Who said I was a potential spouse for either of you anyway?”
You cross your arms, hesitating for a moment or so. “I’ll stay, but not for long. Believe it or not, I actually do have places to go. Shocking news, isn’t it?”
