Welcome! (OOC post)

Hi! Welcome to my new page, this is a sims roleplay page that's meant to mimic an equestrian vlog channel! My main sims page is @fleetwoodstock-sims if you'd like to see more OOC posts and my other pixel pony happenings

This "vlog" follows my character, Marquis Moulin, and his two horses, Dandy (left) and Robin! (right) Marquis, also known as Mark, Ki, or Kiwi, is an up-and-coming equine influencer in the UK, he has recently purchased his own stables and works at a nearby equestrian center called English Yew Equine Centre. He works with horses full time and focuses on Show Jumping and Eventing. He loves horses with a little extra personality and quirkiness, and he has a slight LeMieux obsession he's a little embarrassed of. He hopes one day he can bring one of his horses through the Grand Prix, specifically Dandy who is his new fancy three year old who isn't quite ready to show yet.

I hope you enjoy! I am by no means a particularly good writer, I'm just doing this for fun so hopefully you find it fun as well lol <3

Horse Spotlight:

REPH Grand Munia ”Dandy” 17 hh 3 y.o. Black British WB Mare REPH The Governor x ΣE Fayette (made by Moose Rehmham on Equiality Sims)

When talking about his two horses Mark refers to Dandy as “the one with braincells”

Mark purchased Dandy as a two year old as a personal jumping prospect. He loved her easy-going personality and flashy markings, and most importantly her size. He didn’t expect her to shoot up to be 17 hh at the age of three but you won’t see him complaining.

Dandy was only very recently started under saddle and has been a very quick learner. She’s shown she has plenty of go but is calm and uber intelligent. You could probably put beginners on her and she’d do just fine (besides some fine tuning on her buttons) Mark is extremely excited to get the gorgeous girl in the jumper ring in a few years!

Horse Spotlight:

EYEC Robin Hood "Robin” 16.2 hh 10 y.o. grey OTTB Gelding

Y’know those tiktoks about people who got green horses and trained it themselves as teenagers and now they have really weird buttons? That’s Robin.

Mark got Robin free fresh off the track when he was 16 as his first official horse. Awful choice for his first horse but somehow it worked out and Robin became a functioning member of horse society.

Robin is a… sporadic character. He is an athletic boy who loves zooming over jumps and going cross country schooling and is all around happy-go-lucky as long as its Mark and only Mark. No one is quite sure what happened to Rob, but he has intense trust issues with people, and doesn’t quite know how to interact with other horses but tries his best.

Robin is a special boy, but no doubt he is Mark's heart horse!

Felix Woodward 24 - They/He - Pan - Virgo

Don't ask them about their dog… you'll end up in camera roll limbo.

Felix is a calmly unhinged connoisseur of speedy hyperactive creatures. Felix has been obsessed with animals from a young age and as a kiddo was usually reading some large encyclopedia of horses, dogs, or whatever and info-dumping every chance they got. Felix was not born into a horse family and wasn't nepo-babied into the horse industry, rather he didn't get into riding till his early teens and was unsurprisingly hooked. He's never been much of a people-person and has found more comfort in animals but his reluctance towards human interactions had made his entry into the horse industry difficult at points. (Luckily, Marquis held the door open for them a bit)

At English Yew Equine Centre Felix schools and shows their Irish cobs. They often help Marquis with his client horses for the ones he’s a bit too big to ride.

Marquis Moulin 23 - He/him - Bi - Aquarius

Big dumb horse himbo.

Mark is a 6’2” (187 cm) hunk who never grew out of his horse girl phase. He’s chronically outgoing and wears his heart on his sleeve and has an affinity for quirky horses. Mark’s horsemanship started with pony club sat upon his family’s Irish cobs and zooming through jumper courses and field hacks. Eventually fluffy little cobs turned into unruly OTTBs and a passion for training quirky horses. …Self preservation still isn’t a concept to him, he uses any sense of preservation he could’ve had on caring about everyone else around him. Mark is a social butterfly and can befriend just about anyone he meets and his outgoingness has been a driving force to his equestrian career.

At English Yew Equine Centre Mark is an on-site trainer, resident big-horse rider, and stallions/nuisance handler. You’ll often see him training client horses and working with young stock.

"Dandy" did amazing today! She did her first off-property schooling session all by herself and handled it beautifully. We did nothing crazy, just walked around, sniffed some jumps, made weird faces at the jumps, explored, made some weird faces at existence, lunged, made weird faces about being lunged… but no complaints. I am super excited to get this goober started under saddle soon. She is definitely still trying to use her body, but when she's able to maneuver all four of her big hooves at once she's a pretty mover- and smart!

♞ Welcome to Swallowtail Equestrian!♞

Swallowtail Equestrian is a family owned and operated stables located in rural Virginia. "ΣE" is owned by Greta Kemper and is managed by her son, Florian Kemper and his partner, Jericho Sharpe. We specialize in breeding top quality Arabians, Oldenburgs, and Arabian crosses. Swallowtail maintains a friendly and welcoming environment and prioritizes keeping horsemanship lighthearted but efficient.

The facility itself has a beautiful eight stall barn including four foaling sized stalls, an air-conditioned tack room, and wash bay. We also have a large indoor arena and an even larger outdoor arena with high quality mixed sand footing. Along with that, Swallowtail Equestrian has multiple large pastures with lush green grass and run-in sheds as well as two dry paddocks for the horses who get chunky off of air. We believe horses are happiest when most of their time is spent outside in a field just being a horse- we make sure our pasture quality reflects that.
