Just got the mail and one package is a compression sleeve for my leg bc something is wrong and the other package was my race bib and shirt for the half marathon I might not be able to run bc of whatever is wrong with my leg

#shin splints? stress fracture? can I run the half in two weeks? will I not be running again until june? gd forbid later? #no one knows least of all me❤️ #idk what to doooooo this sucks a lot 😄

How it feels accidentally watching the Boston Legal Big Tobacco episode on the anniversary of my grandfather’s sudden fatal heart attack that is still so shattering no one in our family can discuss it without crying and Alan gives this huge intense closing about a man who died after smoking cigarettes since he was a child (just like my grandpa) and my mom and I still can’t talk about it but Alan does and we’re crying while he rages against the cruelty and pain and loss families experience while the industry is makes billions

How it feels watching the Boston Legal eldercare/dementia/hospice/legalized euthanasia/youth suicide “some lives are taken far too early and others far too late” episode the same week your family has been rocked by dementia deaths and a young suicide

Currently trying to figure out if my leg hurts because 1. I have shin splints 2. I rubbed my leg too hard with the muscle roller trying to avoid shin splints or 3. it’s phantom pains that only exist in my mind bc I’m anxious about shin splints
