Ok, so I wanted to keep this in but I gotta say this because it's how I feel. What Zamii did was an accident and was wrong of her. I think the fact that she hasn't apologized is bad and the fact that she defended that guy who was a pedophile is beyond wrong. However, I feel as though people making fun of her art and submitting EDITED PICTURES OF HER HAVING A CUT THROAT AND BLOOD EVERYWHERE is not ok. If you want to focus on one aspect of her that you want her to own up to, awesome, more power to you. I don't agree with what she did either. But her art is her business and I can't believe I have to say this to a website that shoves trigger warnings down everyone's throat but sending death threats is childish and absolutely distasteful. here’s a book review of the book that mentions henry hawksworth and his system, one of which was a fictive based on peter pan. the article doesn’t use that particular language, but does mention peter. 

here’s the book in question. in it, hawksworth talks about how his system members came to be, and specifically mentioned “pulling in” peter pan into his headspace. 

hawksworth was three years old when peter pan entered his headspace, making this a thing that’s been around since 1946.

Fictionkin is a form of otherkin. And like I said, some people only say they're kin for the fun of it, not because they share some kind of connection with it. They just make people who actually use otherkin as a coping method look like a joke. Well, we're all different people, so we're not going to agree on everything. Tbh, I don’t really care if someone is kin with something, but it gets annoying when so many people are doing it while a good bit of them don't have any actual spiritual connection with the thing to begin with.

Just because it's been around for awhile doesn't mean it's not a fad. Some people use otherkin as a coping method, and that's all fine. But some people take it too far just because they like a certain character, and that's where it gets messed up.
