The earphones his 'student' mentioned look similar to the trinkets Cloud Retainer might craft. If so, they are no doubt outside of Xiao's understanding (and interest). I'm at a point where I might make a separate blog for Dan Heng/Feng. I'm deep in the brainrot and doubt I'll free myself anytime soon. Everyone else has taken a backseat. He owns me now.

The inquiry makes Xiao pause, his hands briefly suspended in the air before he curls them around two porcelan cups. He thinks on the changes he observed, not at all disquieted by the pause that ensues.

A brief glance finds his guest before Xiao begins to pour their tea. "I'm not the best person to ask," he admits. "I keep my distance from the mortal world, so there is much I am oblivious to." He seats himself opposite the wanderer before continuing, "I did notice, however, that the people tend to rely less and less on the divine. Adepti, too, have started to fade into the background of their everyday life. They don't rely on our protection nearly as much as they used to." It's why he has time to chat with his guest. Some hundred years ago, he never would have entertained such fancy.

The wanderer folded his hands in his lap as he scanned over his surroundings. The decor was pleasing to the eye and in some ways familiar to that of his homeland. He never minded coming to Liyue, but admittedly it was seldom for reasons unrelated to his past work. Now was the first time he was visiting out of aimless travel.

After taking in everything that he could, the puppet looked over to his host and decided to break the few minutes of silence. " Hm... It's been some time since I was last Liyue. Can you tell me if much has changed as of late ? "

I read one(1) fic and was hit by such an intense love for Xiao. He's currently drowned out by other muses, but damn. He'll always be one of my favorite characters, and I'm stoked to write him whenever inspiration strikes me next.

I've had a couple of friends have issues with this, and I nearly fell victim to this myself. If an account you're friends with messages you asking if someone messaged you something weird in a server, do NOT heed this. Block/report the account. They have been hacked. As a PSA. PLEASE, DO NOT MESSAGE ANYONE WITH THE HANDLE MIKESUPPORT_(random number) they will get your email and use that to hack into your discord account. It's also highly recommended you change your email. Please reblog this to spread awareness.

Xiao gives a nod before turning toward the counter. He has several flavors of tea stored despite seldomly drinking it, courtesy of Rex Lapis who - somehow - has not yet grown tired of bestowing gifts on his followers.

A blend of Qinxing seems appropriate for the occasion, so Xiao makes to prepare it quietly, not bothering with needless conversation as he waits for the water to boil. If his guest wishes to engage in chatter, Xiao will do his best to accomodate him. Still, he cares little to initiate.

" Tea would be great, thanks. " Contrary to popular belief, he DID know how to be courteous. It just wasn't something he often found a need for. Especially given most of his encounters with others were loud and annoying. He could tell his company was unused to guests, so that likely owed to the quiet atmosphere. Honestly, he was rather grateful for it.

" I'll take whatever you have. I'm not that picky about it. "
