The Walls Keep Closing In

A/N: Day 22 of @whumpcember​ . Alex tries to avoid a panic attack and Bobby tries to help, but can he stop the walls closing in…

“Alex?” Bobby’s hand wipes over her back and Alex looks up at him, the closing in of the walls stops for a moment and she sighs, barely hiding the way she shivers. “You okay?” “No.” The word is a whisper and Alex sighs again at the look in his eyes. She hates being weak, hates that Bobby of all people sees it, but she needs him here right now. The day is nearly over and she can go home, be safe, be alone with her bird and her belongings and settle back into her routine. “Come on, I’ll take you home.” They drive home together and Alex settles into Bobby’s lap when he insists on following her inside. She hates feeling the walls closing in and when Bobby wants to keep her company, she accepts it. She needs him more than she likes to admit. “Walls still closing in?” Bobby’s question catches her off-guard and Alex barely hides her slight huff and smile. He knows her so well, even now. “No… not with you here.” “I can always stay…” “Please.” Alex murmurs, letting her head rest against his neck, sighing softly. “I could use the sleep.”

Softly getting hold of the other’s hand, afraid to make a mistake

A casual touch on the shoulder to acknowledge them

Foreheads pressed together, a silent way to say “I’m here”

A gentle hand holding the other’s neck while staring into their eyes

Whispering, lips almost touching the ear

A quick brush of hands, almost unnoticeable

Tracing the other’s lips with their finger

An arm sneaking around a waist, holding them close

Pressing their face into the other’s neck, hiding from the world

A hand in the other’s hair, not quite grabbing it

Sighing into the kiss, melting together at last

A swift kiss to the other’s cheek

Brushing away an unruly lock of hair

A firm handshake, professionally at first, but a second to long

Gently kissing the other’s knuckles

A tender hug, just staying together for a while

Hands rubbing together to warm them up

A firm hand grabbing the other’s elbow to guide them

Feeling for the other’s pules with their lips

A quick kiss on the crown of their hair

Sitting on the other’s lap, being hugged from behind

A slow dance, entangled with each other

Cold feet warming each other up under the blanket

A gentle kiss on the forehead, a sweet goodbye

This scene in Icarus has shippppyyy overtones. I could only put 10 images but in the beginning of the scene, it feels like BA are either doing a laid-back version of good cop, bad cop or that Alex is just annoyed at Bobby xD Alex finishes Bobby's stuttering sentence like a gf/wifey (similar to Last Street in M.) and repeats knowledge that Bobby is more of a jazz guy and wouldn't recognize the suspect's music. Bobby plays around and takes Adam's smoke and gets in between him and Alex. Alex shoots Bobby a peeved look which makes me think she's playing because I know she would actually find it funny. The next weird thing is that when they have alone time and Bobby first puts his hand next to a music book with a pencil on it and an ashtray, moves in front of Alex, then appears closer to her with his hand somewhere way different initially. I thought maybe it was VDO moving to fit for the next camera scene, which it could be, but I still find it shippy how noticeably he moves right in front of Alex and closer to her. They sure made them snuggle up for a romantic setting with wine, two glasses, and a piano 😉🥂💖 shipppity ship shIP SHIPPPP!!!
