The goal of the Saint Gertrude Purgatorian Society is “to empty Purgatory.”

November is the traditional month to especially pray for the suffering souls in Purgatory. All Souls’ Day is celebrated on November 2 – opportunities to participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass are ample, for that Sacrifice on Calvary, on the Altar, won our Salvation!

Cardinal Burke Blesses Prayer Plaques in the Mother of Good Counsel Votive Candle Chapel. On August 1, 2019, Cardinal Burke blessed two prayer plaques that were recently mounted in the Votive Candle Chapel at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The plaques display the Prayer for the Souls in Purgatory and the Prayer for the Dying. These prayers can be found at:
