I'm watching back the day the eggs returned from Fit’s POV, and holy shit, this is a sitcom from the 90s. The sheer amount of coincidences and communication issues would have audiences reeling.

Ramon wakes up and, within minutes, is already trying to figure out who his new parent can be. He talks to Uncle Phil, who tells him to look for Pac, and Ramon has something to go off of now. Right after, Fit and Ramon go to the bakery and run into a load of people, including Pac and Bagi. Ramon does his 'hi future dad' thing with Pac, and it's adorable, but Fit is also trying to get Ramon to meet Bagi. Remember, Ramon has no idea who Bagi is or where she came from. Ramon doesn't know she and Fit are building a friendship via their Purgatory experience. Bagi and Ramon have a nice little conversation, and Ramon asks Fit what he thinks of Bagi right after and then immediately asks if he'd like a mom or dad for Ramon. 

It's like a sitcom because at the moment Ramon puts the signs down to ask, Bagi starts running toward them, and Fit breaks the signs in a panic, going 'no one, no one' at first. Fit waits until Bagi has fully teleported away before he tells Ramon about the Dad thing. Then Fit and Ramon warp to Felps square, and what are the first two things we see? The green and blue chairs for Tazercraft and Bagi running just ahead of them in the distance. It's like a fucking sitcom with hapless FitMC constantly being confronted with everything he was trying to keep quiet.

I think Ramon wasn't sure if Fit was interested in Bagi because she was brought up a few times during the day (and maybe Uncle Phil was just joking), and they got along well, or if Fit likes Pac. At this point, Fit hadn't directly told Ramon he'd want it to be a dad yet, so Ramon is curious. When Ramon asks what Fit thinks of Bagi, I think he is trying to see if Fit has a crush on her, but Fit responds by saying, ‘She’s legit; we can trust her.’ Fit has never once thought of Bagi romantically only as an ally (partially because she made it very clear from the start she’s interested in Tina) but also because Fit just isn’t into her that way. This feeds a lot into his next statement of finally telling Ramon he’d be more interested in Ramon having a new dad than a mom. 

Seconds later, Fit comments on how they’re making progress, and you could interpret that as he and Pac's situationship is making progress because now Ramon knows OR Fit, in general, is making progress as a person because he just told his son something he’s never said out loud before. It’s cathartic. Ramon’s signs say “am still processing info omg,” and Fit tenses up again. He puts his hands to his face, worried about what Ramon might say: 

But this is his beautiful baby boy Ramon; of course, Ramon is just happy. His dad is happy. And the minute Ramon puts the ‘so happy’ sign down, Fit’s demeanor changes. He starts smiling and laughing and telling Ramon he’s glad he’s happy and that he needs baby steps. It’s the end of the episode-style music swell where the main characters have bonded and progressed the story, and everyone feels good. 

And then immediately after, we have the funny bit as the credits roll of Phil and Ramon teasing Fit about Pac doing Ramon's quests if needed. It’s great. I love it so much. The whole stream from Ramon waking up until the end is a fucking gift, especially if you like stuttering, trying to deflect Fit while everyone teases him.

Thinking about qFit

Thinking about how Fit came from a place of hatred and survival. Where he would kill children just to survive. Where nothing was safe and death was guaranteed.

Thinking about Fit calling Ramon “it” when he first got him. How he detached himself from this child he was supposed to have. How he kept Ramon alive purely to win a competition at first.

Thinking about Fit treasuring everything Ramon gives him and making a garden of flowers his son gave him on his house

Thinking about Fit yelling in excitement when he spots Ramon and plays their lil game of hide and seek whenever they see each other.

Thinking about Fit saying “Thats my fucking boy” and “Im so proud of you” when Ramon saved everyone at Wilburs return party

Thinking about Fit building a yoga studio for sunny when she asked and letting her cling to his leg when Tubbo got frustrated with his machines

Thinking about Fit apologizing over and over when him and Tallulah fell off rainbow road because there was a possibility that she got hurt.

Thinking about Fit always making sure he says hello to the eggs and asks how they are doing and never leaving an egg alone if the parent isnt there.

Thinking about Fit coming from a place where love wasn’t present and if anything was a weakness to then being in an island where all there is is love and how openly he loves and cares for the kids and islanders, even if its subtle

thinking about how fit and pac being in love doesn’t make tubbo any less important as a part of morning crew. it’s not fitpac plus tubbo, it’s morning crew. the romantic love is important without making the platonic love any less important or impactful! we make jokes about tubbo third wheeling but his presence in the dynamic isn’t about that. they’re all peers and found family and the clinginess goes all three ways and they’re all important to the function of morning crew. morning crew isn’t fully morning crew if one of them isn’t there.

so, who was gonna tell me fit canonized him having bad hearing due to too many explosions in 2b2t... WHO WAS GONNA TELL ME

i thought it was a big headcanon everyone agreed on bc him being partially deaf or hard of hearing just makes sense, NOT THAT HE STRAIGHT UP SAID IT

anyways maybe he said it lightheartedly but its completely canon for me rn idc
