I made this piece for the last, ever I guess, edition of Reylo museum, between one thing and another, I never published it even though I absolutely loved working on this one, I really put a LOT of detail to this. Here it is now :)

I had a lot of love for that collaboration, seeing beautiful art reinterpreted as Reylo art out of only love and motivation for the fandom, I will always miss those days

My main inspiration here was Blade Runner and I used lighting/color reference from that. But the more recent and possibly more relevant crossover is Midnight Mass, since ~from a certain point of view~ Rey and Ben are Force vampires, if you want to get fucked up about it. (yes, obviously.)

EXTREME TANGENT: Midnight Mass came out immediately after I read ‘Salem’s Lot for the first time (which I loved!), so I particularly enjoyed that Midnight Mass ended up basically being a ‘Salem’s Lot adaptation in a different font. Anyway, in ‘Salem’s Lot the protagonist’s name is Ben, and the text refers to goodness as a “Force” with a capital “F” (written pre-Star Wars!). Which I had fun with in the throes of my years-long post-TROS mania and consistently longing for SW horror AUs during spooky season. /end tangent

Also a separate third thing: Dume??!?!?!? Dume reference. Space wolf eyes. Beloved dead Force man who turned into a wolf. DUME
