Hi, so I just found out my dad is looking into joining the Proud Boys and I am feeling VERY unsafe.
I made a poster on this time last year saying my parents were debating kicking me out because I was trans. I'm 18 now, and I ended up staying, because my mom turned over a new leaf. I thought my dad had as well, but he was just playing it safe for a while so I wouldn't leave.
He openly agrees with Proud Boy ideology, and denies their relationship to neo-fascism and white supremacy. He is still incredibly transphobic and ableist, and I am at a complete loss. No members of my family stand up for me, including my mom, and it's getting unbearable to live with him. My therapist is growing increasingly concerned for my well-being, and so am I. I don't think I'll be in physical danger, but this is definitely an unsafe situation for other reasons.
I am registered with my state's I/DD services, but my caseworker is absolutely useless and hasn't been able to give me any concrete information on financial aid or housing assistance in over a year. I am autistic and physically disabled due to an undiagnosed muscular or connective tissue disorder. I have an appointment with a rheumatologist tomorrow.
I have a job, but I'm only able to work enough to make around $400 a month. Combined with gas, and food, that isn't enough to live on. I also have access to a car, which will soon be transferred to my name. With financial assistance, though, I may not be able to keep it, so I can't guarantee I'll have it in a few months.
If you are in the Oregon area, preferably near Salem or Portland, and have any ideas on how to help me I'd be grateful.
EDIT: My appointment is Friday the 16th of July. I forgot it was Wednesday lol.
“To reveal invisible spirits and to be able to hear and speak with them, in
whatever way one desires, so as to find out hidden things write your name
and then these words in red letters on a chip of spruce wood:
Filx Gackte ol hordea
OSS. YQQ Pelock Bjelsebubb
Behov vara
On a Thursday evening go to the cemetery and put that chip under an earth-
fast stone. Return there the following Thursday evening. Then take the chip and say. giving their names:
I order you spirits
to come and meet me here next Thursday evening
in the name of
Domine Pater Filius Saned Spiritus
or in the name of
God the Father
and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit
Then, go thence the third Thursday evening, then the chip will be gone and
a little round stone will be in its place. Take this stone and keep it, then the
spirits will come to you and then you can get to know whatever you ask of
them; but don’t ask too much all at once, because then they get too tired,
save it for later.
When you have the stone in your pocket. you will never lack for money.
Take the stone in a bottle and knock it once, for each spirit you want to
speak with. They shall procure for you in this. way whatever you require.
from wherever in the whole world.”

As I work my way through the book looking for timing rules, I’ve found a couple planetary correspondences: the “proper incense” for a planet and the stone or metal meant to be used for them in an astrology spell. Thought I’d share since there’s so many correspondences out there. The incense is from PGM XIII 1-343 and the stone/metal is from PGM CX 1-12.
If you’re reading through the PGM (Papyri Graecae Magicae, or Greek Magical Papyri) you’re going to encounter a lot of strange words quickly. These are called voces magicae, words of power that are typically used to gain control over a deity or spirit. You, like me, are likely going to look at these names and ask yourself, “How the fuck do I pronounce that?” Fear no more, as I sat down with a friend that studies classics and we used one papyrus translation that had the original Coptic and the transliteration to come to this pronunciation guide.
SINGLE VOWELS:
A - ah as in father
E - ay as in day
Ē - ee as in seek
I - ih as in stick (if it appears after a consonant)
O - oh as in broke
Ō - the same as O, except the sound is drawn out, like oooh
U - oo as in truth
Above, I write the sound that “I” takes if it follows a consonant. If an “I” follows a vowel, it takes a y sound on that vowel. For example IAŌ is pronounced “ya-oooh.”
MULTIPLE VOWELS TOGETHER:
AI - aye as in eye
AU - ow as in cow
OU - ew as in few
Aside from this, as far as I’m aware, vowels are pronounced separately.
The pronunciation of consonants tends to follow your intuition. If there are questions about consonants, I’ll add to this guide.
When breaking up a word into syllables, I tend to give the consonant following a vowel to the next vowel unless it’s the end of word or its followed by another consonant. For example, I’d break the name THERTHENITHŌR into THER-THE-NI-THŌR. I don’t know if this is always correct, but it has worked for me.
With that, you’re ready to start saying some spells! If you have any questions or corrections, please message me!
