So.... yeah.

I was in a nasty break up recently. Ugly stuff. Long story short, I started playing Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Trilogy to destress, and I beat the entire trilogy in less than a month, and started on AC3 already.

I am completely obsessed with AC. Even to the point that I probably won’t even play Zestaria right away because I’m still too invested with a certain fictional, colonial era, Native American, Assassin.

Am I the only one who thinks the Tumblr staff​ really does not care about their users, and ignores feedback? They’ve announced their last couple of ‘downgrades’, yes, downgrades, before implementing them, and recieved massive negitive user feedback, but went through with them anyway.

I can remember a time when they made an update, like changing the search from nice rows to cuttered thumbnails, and after feedback they gave users the choice to have tumbnails or list.

Would it really be so hard to give Users a choice to lock their posts if they are that afraid of people editing reblogs, and let others, who want editable reblogs, or a way to trim / shorten posts they reblog a way to do so? All these downgrades are breaking the site, and I have heard about several people who contacted staff about it, and got a bot ‘copy-pasted’ message that was complete horsepile.

Before recently, I never thought of resorting to a third-party program just to use a website. Third Party extensions should never be needed to simple use a website. And, quite frankly, if a Third Party Extension needed to be used, then that site in question is broken, and the people behind it should stop and think about what they are doing, and what they want their website to become.

Does Tumblr want to become a stone-cold site where Users feel like their opinions don’t matter, or does it want to stay the welcoming, user-friendly site it’s been known for in the past?

I just don’t want to see Tumblr go the way of older sites like LiveJournal and Myspace. Think about it Staff, you have a large site right now with lots of people who use it. But those sites did at one point as well. Keep messing up, and ignoring your users, and disregarding their opinions, and people will move to other websites like Blogger, Medium, or Ghost to name a few.
