Lost followers after reblogging that whole thing about JKR being radicalized over the years, and that disturbs me.

Like if you think saying that people can be radicalized and manipulated into hate is somehow justifying it, yikes. And if you think that people are somehow just good or evil and that you are not at risk of buying into propaganda, have I got some very red flag news about that!

Idk if its because I am an older Millennial maybe (most who unfollowed were younger) but I watched a ton of that generation slide from one of the most progressive to the far right before my every eyes. Hell, my dad fought alongside his black friends in the Detroit race riots and now he watches Fox News 24/7 and talks about the border wall. Yet still claims he could never be racist because of how he used to be. He doesn’t even realize what he has become.

JKR isn’t a deluded old woman or innately evil, but in fact THE prime example of how well-meaning ignorance and privilege can be weaponized and encouraged down a pipeline, until it turns into a force of hate, and should be a cautionary tale about why educating and being open about these issues are necessary. Because there are those out there who will use those divisions and ignorance to their own ends. And just digging in our heels and saying “that could never be me!” is the very thing that puts you more at risk. I’ve lost so many loved ones down that pipeline and it is more slippery than most realize.

Stay alert, stay compassionate, stay humble, and make sure you move through life guided by reason rather than reaction. I love y’all and don’t want to see your passion twisted to get used against the world.

It is possible that after witnessing what happened to Sallows because of Sebastian innability to let go, it;s safe to say Ominis could realize his family is doomed anyway so why bother and it's better to carve a new good life for only one.

Of Ominis, Dumbledore and Tom Riddle: Some dark thoughts

Ominis was born in 1874-1875, while Tom Riddle Jr (Voldemort) was born in 1926. Albus Dumbledore meanwhile, was born in 1881. This means Albus Dumbledore must have met Ominis and at least know of his existence, except if Ominis did not survive his fifth year.

This makes me wonder, if Dumbledore knew about Ominis, what did Dumbledore think when he saw young Tom Riddle? Why he did not try to contact Ominis at that time? And if Ominis is still alive and unaware of Tom Riddle, what would Tom Riddle do to him? Tom Riddle was powerful enough to cold bloodedly murder his uncle and his father, I can believe he was strong enough to try take down Ominis too because Ominis' existence should even be easier to track as he attended Hogwarts. There should be record of him somewhere Tom can find. If he could locate his uncle and father, he could (and I presume would) locate Ominis as the last surviving member of the Gaunt bloodline.

I can only conclude that Ominis did not survive that far. He might not survive his Hogwarts year at all, not making it to adulthood or at least not to age 50.

Or if Ominis change his name in the end? That seems a bit unlikely however, as I'm quite sure if he survived I see no reason for Dumbledore not to contact him or at least tell Riddle about his possibly quite close relative.

Students' uniforms

One thing that bothered me a bit while exploring Hogwarts was how most of the students, besides us and some guys in quiditch gear at the stadium, were wearing the same. I get it's a school but there are still variety when it comes to wear them: without robe, different robe, fancy dress/suit under robe/ hats, hood on or off, gloves, scarfs. You know, as long as the House crest and colors are visible.

What do you think. Do you have any headcanons how NPC students would dress to better express their personallities?

Hello everyone, I want to say a few words about Hogwarts Legacy. The game is very captivating, at the very least. The design of the locations and characters is incredibly beautiful. It was interesting to listen to practically all of the dialogues.

As for the cons for me, it’s the lack of interaction with NPCs and the shortage of romantic relationships, which usually play a big role in teenage school life.

Man, when I was like 16 I got so sick of being made fun of for being the fat kid that I took an axe down inna woods, chopped down a tree, and started doing log-lifts all the time. I got strong as fuck, but I didn’t lose no weight. I actually got bigger.

Same thing happened when I got into fighting. I got even stronger, and I got *fast*, man, and nimble, like a cat. Still chubby.

Body-building culture is a bunch of crap, my dude. Functional muscle is not necessarily toned or lean. You can be swole as hell and still be heavy. And that’s cool.

Embrace your inner barbarian. And when fatphobic little gym twinks try to body shame you, you should DESTROY THEM with your MIGHTY AXE
