Vaggie actually getting hurt very badly in the beginning when picking a fight with a demon and hiding from literally anyone until she's sure she isn't bleeding anymore and picking up from there that maybe it would be best not to do it for the sake of her cover.

I know Vaggie’s fighting style is something practically ingrained in her via years of very vigorous military training but how reckless did she act outside of it? She knows she isn’t invulnerable- Lute made sure of that - but then again these are sinners and non-angelic weapons can’t injure her permanently. She’s spent god knows how long hunting down, fighting and killing sinners under the assumption that they couldn’t harm her in a way that matters. She threatens Alastor in the pilot and is generally unimpressed by him despite knowing his history and reputation. What i'm saying is that she probably gave Charlie a heart attack early on
