"So dramatic," Ian chuckled, having heard the bemoaning rant from the kitchen where he'd been busy organizing the grocery list for the week, a task he set aside for a moment to wander off into the living room where Tony was walking about the woes of life.

"You're not going to drop out," he scooped the book up from the floor and placed it back on the table, leaving it shut though. "I only dropped out to work on the curse, and it's even worse catching back up when you come back."

Ian was sympathetic though, he'd known this would be one of those unexpected side effects of breaking the curse; Tony's coasting for so long.

Still, he was a bit dramatic.

"Deal, singular, we don't know if it is going to be anything but the one until it's published and see how well it does." He reminded him, but his smile was a bit teasing, "and as attractive a picture that is with you and your guitar we both have to suffer being adults. Which means," Ian nudged Tony just a little, "you have to study and graduate."

He picked up Tony's pen and tapped him lightly on the head with it. "I have faith in you, dramatics and all," he laughed softly, "if you don't like studying you have to figure out something to motivate you to want to."

Ian was a bit baffled, yes. Because to him the plant Martin was pointing out looked as similar to him as every other plant he had also pointed out over the course of their hike through Enchantra. The details were likely different, sure, and some were obvious by leaf shape, color, flower or whatever else. But others looked exactly the same, and he knew Martin wasn't prone to messing with him during magic lessons so he believed the older man about which ones were different.

But the contents of his messenger bag had been dumped out on Martin's kitchen table and Ian was carrying it through the forest with half a dozen leaves, vines, flowers and other plant related things in it because he'd asked a question and Martin had decided that explaining the magical properties of certain flora Ian had been reading about in one of the many potion books in his mentor's library were better addressed in person, hands on, evidently.

"They both look green," Ian offered with a sigh, his opinion of the two leaves in Martin's hands not exactly useful. "I'm missing something here, aren't I?"

Ian had learned to mostly ignore the conversations about reagents he noticed in passing often enough around town, no big surprise given the sorcerer population. He was not, however, used to the question being directed at himself. Mostly because his own magic was such an odd mix it was difficult to pin down anything magic-related with him, reagents included.

He blinked, glancing up from his seat on the park-side bench, paused mid-motion of his pen to page of his journal, Yoda barely lifting his head on the ground next to him to inspect the woman a moment before deciding she was harmless and returning to his nap.

"Oh, ah...sure?"

You're required to think Glow is otp, obviously. Half of this mess is yours! But they're so cute. So emo and cute. Who could argue that? Blasphemy.

And I mean technically you can ship all of them, I won't stop you! I will say it's a soap opera at times but, yanno, makes things interesting. I hope.

Hunter and Ian kinda cute. 👀

Hunter is cute with anyone. I'm convinced he exists to be an adorable sad boi and I love this about him. Thus by proxy this is also a cute idea.

Tian aside, I think Ian's neurotic habits and patterns would give that poor man so much anxiety. They're both so quiet though, maybe that'd work. Ian's eccentric interests make him a hard sell in relationships though. Ha.

You know, my favorite thing about them is how very different it is writing a relationship with older adults and trying to communicate through all their collective baggage and how they're equally just dumb teenagers around each other. Lego dates and flirting with your boyfriend constantly should be relationship goals, honestly.

One day Avery will be old enough to be fully aware of how adorably cringe his dads are around each other and I'm very pleased over that. Ha.

This comment highlights one of the truly baffling mysteries of the universe. How I, someone who fully believes I do not write relationships, does in fact have...so many of them. Somehow. When two people who have no awareness of relationships are actually surprisingly healthy at it. Shocking how that happened. I still stand by the fact that Edward would die again for Eilonwy.

Listen. I don't disagree. I find them hilariously fun and I think their combined genius could be supervillain level amazing.

Hiro just fully recognizes Mim is a thousand times cooler than he could ever be. He entirely acknowledges she's ridiculously smart and so hot it's practically unfair.

The boy would totally simp if he thought he had a chance. I say this as though Hiro doesn't simp for every crush he has/has had, yeah.

"My ex specialized in Battle Magic, and honestly at that point the idea just made me uncomfortable; magic designed specifically to harm people sounded... horrible to me." He admitted, because the truth wasn't always something a person could be proud of, but it wasn't something they had to hold onto forever either. "I knew a lot less then, thinking that's all it was, and I made the mistake of thinking everything from my point of view was what I had to believe instead of looking at it outside of my own worries and discomfort. I could never practice Battle Magic, I get nervous even using my magic defensively in case it goes too far, but that's me, not the people who have worked to master a skill set I don't have."

And in the wrong hands, yes, any magic could be dangerous, but that meant any magic could protect as well, if used that way.

"But I do appreciate that some people put everything into learning to use magic that could harm in ways that can help too; it may not be glamorous but you're right, it is very important." He agreed, and it sounded like Hunter didn't hear that enough, given his tone, so he extended the offer warmly; "I'd be happy to talk about it more, if you want; I don't have much perspective from an actual Battle Magic sorcerer."

He smiled, a bit relieved that Hunter seemed at least a little more relaxed with that humor.

"You're lucky; my magic isn't great for anything like that...those elf genes ever fail me and I'll have to suffer going to the gym," he laughed, "I don't think I could keep up with your version of a workout."
