I don’t use this tumblr to post anything any more and I sure as hell don’t use the Facebook page I planned on using. As usual I’m hiding away on punk message boards, so I’ll post here what I did there: I got to be in a room full of people who have been marginalized by the very special kind of monsters New England breeds. And we were screaming songs of "Fuck THAT shit." and "Fight back." and "We'll fight along with you." like it was the way things always were and will be, and not could have been, should've been. And we weren't alone for a night.

Vegan in Quetzaltenango

This blog is still pretty much dead (go to youtube for video updates). Back in Quetzaltenango / Xela.

I updated the Happycow page for Quetzaltenango with a ton of restaurants, specific vegan dishes and correct google map locations. That is to say, I wasted a whole bunch of time yet again on some stupid fucking bullshit whose utility to anyone is suspect at best.

Summary is also apt for my youtube page and pretty much any/all endeavors I undertake in life.

Safe and sound

I want a movie where the opening scene is a cold open of the boys from season 4 of The Wire goofing around and being kids on a stoop for the first 20 minutes as the camera slowly pans out to a city in ruins with the audience slowly realizing there is no one else around for miles. The movie then becomes a post-apocalyptic road trip movie where they try to find somewhere “safe". Shoot it as an allegory, where the default state of being for persons of certain colors isn’t “living" but “surviving".

-- Second and last show I went to in NoLA was The Ghostwood + Screaming Females. I remember booking these guys in High School at the Che right before I left for college (it's still on the NoLADIY.org site)

They still bring the Jawbreaker-y punk goodness. Really wish I filmed them as well 8 ago (IT'S BEEN 8 FUCKING YEARS?!) but I used to never film shows I booked since they weren't always... well attended, so I would feel like a huge jackass if it was just me and a camera running back and forth from the sound board. What I'm trying to say is, I need a time machine back to like first grade to redo basically, I don't know, like my whole fucking life.
