lush review - fun

Red fun 💕

I used this sample of red fun to shave my legs. It smells very citrusy like oranges and uplifting. Fun can be used like play dough, to shave, as shampoo, body wash/soap and like a bubble bar.

For shaving, I took a small piece of it and used some water to get it wet and rub onto my legs. It can get stuck in clumps but this is resolved when more water is added. I then shaved my legs and afterward washed my legs with the remaining fun and this sample was enough to do all of that.

My legs felt extremely soft afterwards, that it was softer than if I had used a body lotion after a shower. I would really recommend using this for shaving and using as a body wash as they are very moisturising and easy to use. The red fun is £5.20 for 200g and I think it would last a while and it is such a great multi-purpose product.

lush review - bath bomb

Turmeric latte bath bomb 💕

This bath bomb has a lovely spicy and warming scent and doesn’t share it’s scent with anything lush currently have. The scent is really amazing. This bath bomb is also covered in glitter and has a unique design.

This bath bomb gave a load of beautiful and frothy bath art. It kinda did look like I was bathing in a latte! This is the most glitter I have ever seen in a bath bomb and after I got out, there was a lot of gold shimmer residue in the bath and there was glitter on my skin too.

I really enjoyed this bath bomb but it is pretty expensive at £6.95. I would recommend this, but possibly split the bath bomb in two to justify the cost more and to reduce clean up in the tub afterwards!

Willow the wisp is for people who want more volume to their hair, goddess hair moisturiser is for those with dryer hair. The petal head shampoo is a solid dry shampoo. The wasabi Shan kui shampoo is meant to promote hair growth and prevent breakage. The #gains spray is for damaged hair. Hercules hot oil treatment is ROSE JAM scented and gives shine and volume to hair.

Brush strokes fresh face mask is suitable for people with sensitive skin.

lush review - fun bar

White fun 💕

This bar of fun is part of the butterball scent family, and has a lovely gentle scent and is quite strong. I used the fun as a bubble bar and it created a lot of thick bubbles, however they did not stay for the length of the bath. The bath water was a pale milky white and I found the bath to be very very moisturising but not oily. The white bath makes it suitable to use as a cocktail with other items too. I did feel however that it was too squishy and easily breakable to use as playdough.

This is ideal for people who like pale baths, and I would also recommend for people who have dry skin as I found no need to put on body lotion afterwards. I also think the fun would be very useful to use for shaving and and very moisturising as a shampoo. This fun bar is from the Liverpool store and may come online at some point in time.

lush review - face cleanser

Turmeric roll facial cleanser 💕

This cleanser has a fresh scent and doesn’t really smell like turmeric to me but has a really unique and moreish smell - it smells really really good! This arrived in the mail wrapped in the same paper things in store get wrapped up in rather than in a pot, and I found this to be very creative but I will say the turmeric did seep through and stain the paper a bit, but I haven’t found any issue with it staining my face.

I did put this cleanser in an old black pot, which kind of reduces the point of selling it naked but it does need to be stored somehow!!! This cleanser is easy to use and is meant to be mixed with water into a paste in the hand, and it is really easy to do this, and a little goes a long way.

This cleanser is designed for oily skin, and I will say that it works really great for my skin type and I would recommend this highly for others - only thing i can ask for is for it to be made permanent as it is a Liverpool exclusive at the moment, it is also available online until May 29th as part of the lush labs for £8.50.

lush review - conditioner

American Cream Pressed Conditioner 💕

This conditioner is part of the american cream scent family, but I will say it is more of a subtle scent and is definitely not that strong, but it is still the american cream scent.

This conditioner is a lot better than the other current solid versions and I think the new pressed formula is similar to that of the pressed soaps, but a lot more moisturising than the soaps.

It is easier to use than the other formulas, but still works in the same way, and I found that it works best of you rub directly onto the hair. This conditioner made my hair quite soft but I couldn’t detect the smell on my hair either.

I really like this new formula and would recommend as a conditioner, and I feel like it would last a lot longer too with the pressed formula. The bar also looks bigger than the current versions and I would say it is a good price for quantity at £8.50. Another perk is that it is zero waste and plastic free.

Rose butterfly 💕

This bath bomb had a lovely citrus and floral scent to it. The design of it as a butterfly is really beautiful and is actually quite big for the price of £4.95 and can easily be broken into pieces for more than one bath. I was very impressed with the bath art and that it floated, as it looked quite heavy. I would say this is a foamy fizzer and takes a medium amount of time to fizz out.

I really enjoyed using this bath bomb and would buy this and any of the butterfly shaped ones again as they are so fun and produce amazing bath art. I would highly recommend this and can’t wait to use the other butterfly bath bomb I bought.

lush review -face mask

Oatifix fresh face mask 💕

This face mask had a neutral, oaty smell, which was ok and it had a thicker consistency than I thought it would, but when it starts to warm up on your skin, it becomes more porridge like and kind of looks like you just put porridge on your face.

This mask is meant to be good for people with dry and sensitive skin but I found that when I put it on, it irritated my skin and made it so itchy that I couldn’t keep it on longer than 5 minutes because I kept trying to itch my face. The oat pieces were for gentle exfoliation but it may have been what was itching my face.

I would recommend to those with dry rather than sensitive skin - but take into consideration that not everyone has the same reaction to the same products, as this product is meant for people with sensitive skin too.

This mask was £8.50 or free if you take back 5 pots with the recycle sticker on them and also needs to be kept in the fridge. I personally would not buy this fresh face mask again as it didn’t agree with my skin.

lush review - face mask

Rosy Cheeks fresh face mask💕

This face mask is a lovely pink colour, and has a clay like texture but not too thick and has a lovely rose scent - but not rose jam. This face mask has to be kept in the fridge and is recommended to use within 2 weeks but can be used a little longer depending on the ingredients.

It felt very soothing on my skin and if left on for too long, did make my skin feel a little tight but it softened my skin a lot and it felt very calming as well. I t was very easy to spread and has a relatively thin consistency which means it lasts more uses - I found it lasted 6-7 uses.

I would buy this again, and is one of my top fresh face masks and I would recommend this for people who have sensitive skin or for people who want to tone their skin.
