This is a fairly common method to get feral amoguses to the vet or to a shelter. That being said, it is highly stressful for them! Amogi are extremely susceptible to stress; it can cause rapid weight loss, lashing out and gangrene. (This is part of why moving when you have an amogus is so hard.)

This person is not a professional. If you see a feral mongus, you should call animal control.
