Jervis let out a gentle sigh. He didnât really want to get up. What was the point, really? But he could tell she was really trying to make him feel better. She was being a really good friend for him. âI like rainbows.â He said. Of course she knew that he did. âDo they have hats on them?â He couldnât eat anything unless it had a hat on that, she knew that too. Of course, but he wanted to double check. Not that he really had the stomach to eat right now anyway.Â
He shook his head when Pam insisted that he was talking about his sister. Pushing himself up into a sitting position when she sat beside him. He scooted up closed to her and leaned against his friend. There was probably no use telling her that he wasnât talking about Alice. Pam miraculously could see right through him. No matter how clever he thought he was being by disguising the topic. His heart felt heavy as he thought of his little sister. Sure, she was taller than him, but she was still younger. She was innocent and it was his duty to take care of her now that their parents were gone. âWeâre all each other have left and she wonât even let me in her life.â He complained. âAll I want is to take care of her.â Then she told him she was gonna change the bandage. Carefully and protectively, Jervis cradled his injured hand with his other one. âNo.â He whined. Eyeing her for a long moment before reluctantly letting go of his hand. âOkay, you can change it but I most certainly will not like it.âÂ
Pam nodded her head. âI can grab the toothpicks with hats on out of the kitchen. Iâll put them in for you if you promise to eat at least one cookie.â Most people wouldâve left Jervis to his own devices after finding out that heâd gone after Alice again, but Pam couldnât. It was too much like Harley all over again. He was going through a repetitive cycle of going back to the thing that hurt him the most. The only way heâd ever be better was if he broke away from it and got the help he needed. Right now, she was the only help he had. âTheyâll give you a nice sugar rush,â she added, hoping that would sway him.Â
When Jervis leaned against her, she made no attempt to move. Pam was getting used to him being physically affectionate, finally. âI know you canât understand it, but you traumatised her, Jervis. Think about all the times sheâs been under your control. You never gave her the freedom to be who she wants to be. That would be a good start in winning her back. You have to show her that youâre not going to do that to her again.â She knew deep down that heâd never be able to let Alice be free. He was too protective -- he always had been. Her eyes stayed on him as he whined, one eyebrow raised. He gave in, and she smiled. âYou donât have to like it, but youâll be grateful when your hand doesnât fall off.â She took hold of it, and gently unravelled the bandages. âThis is going to take a long time to heal, you realise that, donât you?â

âYou look like you could use a hand.â
Thorn didnât have to look at the woman to know who it was. She had been tending to a patch of trampled flowers in the botanical gardenâa spoiled child had run through it, of courseâand for some reason, they were not responding to her will. The fact that Pamela was standing behind her and watching her fail at regrowing the plants struck a nerve that she had forgotten she had. She released a sigh and stood up, facing the woman with a scowl. âIvy. Iâm not a sporeling anymore. I donât need your help.âÂ
Pam sighed at Thornâs response. It was semi-expected, but it still stung a little. She hadnât seen the girl in a long time, and now she was standing there, scowling at her. âMm, youâre so much like me, you know,â she said, folding her arms across her chest. âBut okay, you donât need my help,â she confirmed, with a nod of her head. âThey do, though.â Pam gestured to the trampled flowers, a look of concern in her eyes. She didnât want to step on any toes, even if healing nature had been her speciality for years. âTell me, Thorn... Why do you think youâre having trouble?â

â so , how does it feel to know me? a blessing , isnât it? â (Ed)
âA blessing is a strong choice of words.â Ever since the pool incident, Pam had barely been able to tolerate Ed. Punching him in the mouth had made her feel better about it, though. She finally felt like they were even, and able to be in the same room as each other again. âI suppose youâre not terrible,â she said, crossing one leg over the other as she stared at him. âBut thatâs as nice and generous as Iâm going to be. I will not inflate your ego, Edward.â He was always so in need of praise. Wasnât that what his magical boyfriend was for? âIâll be blessed with your death if you ever try and get me in a pool again, though.â ( @ofriddler )

A good old fashioned heist, then to a bar?

â you donât want me. â - @ofhvneuls
Pam looked at the younger woman, shaking her head. âLook, I donât want to offend you,â she said, placing a hand on the otherâs arm. At least it wasnât a man coming onto her this time. âItâs just that youâre quite a lot younger than I am, and Iâm not a cradle snatcher,â she said, adding a laugh to ease the tension. âDonât get me wrong, youâre stunning, but even a woman like me has morals.â Anyone over five years younger than her was off-limits, and that was a rule sheâd never break. âYou can have your pick of the women in this bar, you shouldnât busy yourself with someone who could be your very hot, older sister.âÂ

â what? ME have a crush on YOU? whaaaaaat?! haha! what? pfft ⌠shut up! â
Pamela was shocked by Jervisâs words, and she whipped her head around to look at him. âExcuse me?â She walked over to him, pressing the back of her hand against his forehead, checking for a fever. Only a sick Jervis would say something so untrue. âAre you feeling okay?â she asked, reaching for his hand and checking the bandages. He wasnât bleeding out. âIâm concerned, Jervis. Do I need to call Arkham? I donât understand why youâre saying these things.â Heâd had a crush on her since theyâd first met, and he was incredibly obvious about it. At one point, he asked if a blonde wig would make her more attracted to him. âGo and get into bed, Iâll bring some water and painkillers.â She was more concerned about this than she was about the hole in his hand. âI canât believe thisâŚâ she muttered to herself, walking away to go to the kitchen.

[texts: Pam] absence makes the heart grow fonder is what they say after all. perfect. god, it feels like itâs been forever.Â
[texts: Pam] i supposed start from the most important in your eyes. Iâve been well. Trying to get settled here again. got my apartment back. Same old. Looking to find Bruceâs kids and see what theyâve been up to.Â
[TEXT: KITTY]Â I see youâre still convinced that I have a heart. Cute. It has been forever, thatâs why! I havenât seen you in so long. If it werenât for Facebook updates, I might have forgotten what your face looks like.
[TEXT: KITTY] Okay, so things are still the same with me and Harley. After some not so gentle nudging from the people around me, Iâve started sort of seeing someone? I just mean weâre sleeping together. I got a job as a botanist in the city, and I created a carnivorous plant that can talk. I also have a pet named Jervis, but we all know him as Hatter. A few of the brats are here, they wonât be hard to find. No sign of the man himself, though.Â

[TEXT: KITTY]Â Well, a lot has happened. What do you want to know about the most? And howâre things with you?

mazikeenofmurdersâ:
It wasnât often that Maze got to talk like this. Obviously, Maze didnât really find much reason to talk too much. She found that most people just liked to fill in the silence with their own voices. You could learn a lot about them just through that. Humans tended to reveal the strangest things from their greatest weaknesses to their strangest desires. It worked almost as well as Luciferâs Devil face. Of course, Maze often zoned out what humans said, their emotions and unimportant thoughts simply boring her into not listening, but today, she was the one talking, not because she was filling in the silence but because, for once, someone actually seemed interested in what she liked. It was more intoxicating than any kind of alcohol.
Maze had noticed it when they met that Pamela looked like she had been deprived of something. She hadnât really been sure of what it was at first, but as they spent more time together, she saw more and more of herself in the other woman. She was full of chaos and fun, and Maze found herself drawn in by far more than Pamâs gorgeous appearance. Apparently, Maze wasnât the only one. She watched as Pam sauntered across the floor to her, smirking as Pamâs shirt was removed. Mazikeen helped her to sit more comfortably on her lap, holding her from behind. Maze licked her lips just before they kissed. Now there was a lot more of Maze inside Pam, and Maze was unabashedly happy about that fact. Pulling away for just a moment to speak, Maze said, âLet me help you with that.â Using her nails, she split her own shirt in half, peeling off the sleeves before she went back to kissing Pam.Â
The feeling of Maze holding her made Pam feel secure, and a lot more confident about what she was doing. Touch was such a personal thing for her. After all of the things sheâd been through, and the way men had mistreated her in the past, it was difficult for her to trust people enough to let them touch her intimately. There was something about Maze, though. They were kindred spirits. Besides, when was the last time sheâd allowed herself to let loose and have some mindless fun? Sheâd been pining over Harley since the moment sheâd met her -- always comparing other women to her, and telling herself that nobody else would be good enough. Maybe she was right, but it wouldnât hurt to let someone try and change her mind. It was hard to worm your way into her heart, so she wasnât risking anything by doing this. There was no chance of heartbreak, again.Â
The kiss was a lot more heated than Pam had anticipated, but she wasnât going to complain about that. She could taste Mazeâs chapstick on her tongue, and it was making her feel heady. She was beginning to think that sheâd missed out on a whole world of fun, by closing herself off for all these years. There was a smile on her face as the other woman pulled away, and she followed her lips, nipping at her lower one teasingly. Pam watched with wide eyes as Maze split her own shirt in half. If that wasnât the hottest thing sheâd ever seen, she didnât know what was. âImpressive,â she mumbled against the otherâs lips, pressing herself against Maze as she ran her hands over her back. Using her powers, Pam called for vines to form a dome around where they were seated. Two of her best friends had keys to the apartment, and the last thing she wanted was an audience. Feeling her lungs burning, she pulled back, looking at Maze. âIâm not usually this easy to crack,â Pam teased, trailing her fingertips over Mazeâs jaw, before running the pad of her thumb over her lower lip. âAre you comfortable?â she asked, leaning in for another quick kiss as the vines finished growing around them.

He was feeling miserable. The pain of his hand didnât compare to the pain of the betrayal. He would have never hurt Alice and yet she hurt him. Opting to put his dominate hand out of commission. He was lucky the shot was square in the middle of his palm. If it had been higher, he might have lost a couple of fingers. Or maybe he was unlucky- as he was having trouble moving it. He heard Pamela come in but didnât lift his head to look away from the television. âTea?â He asked, though he didnât sound nearly as interested as he normally did when someone else brought him tea. He wasnât sure anything could actually lift his spirits. Not even tea. He was about to answer her question when she kissed him on the cheek. It wasnât enough to bring him out of his slump, but he couldnât lie. He greatly appreciated how she was taking care of him.Â
Instead of answering her question, he gestured to the TV which was featuring the Road Runner Show. âHave you ever noticed how sad this show is? The Coyote just keeps getting hurt all the time, just⌠constantly. All he wants is to catch her and he gets greeted with failure after failure. No matter what he tries. Sheâll never love him.â He said, before giving a quick glance to the pink bandages on his hand. âIt hurts too much to change it.â He protested.
Pam sighed softly when the kiss did nothing to lift Jervisâs spirits. He really was depressed. What if he needed professional help? She couldnât call Arkham, though. That would be a betrayal. If anybody did that to her, sheâd murder them. âYes. Tea. Itâs your favourite kind. I also have cookies in my purse. Theyâre rainbow ones.â She was doing everything she could for him. Pam had given him a bed for the night, a kiss, tea, and cookies. What else could she do? She knew a few things about different medications -- it wouldnât be hard to charm a pharmacist into giving her something for her friend. But what if she killed him accidentally? Could she live with that on her conscience? Probably. But still, sheâd miss him.
When he started talking about the cartoon he was watching, she just stared at him. If he really thought that Roadrunner was a love story, he was sorely mistaken. âYou and I both know that youâre talking about your sister,â Pam said, sitting down next to him. âThereâs no use in using weird metaphors. I know how you feel about her.â She shifted in her seat, a little uncomfortable at the thought. âWell, Iâm changing it. If I donât, youâll get an infection, and Iâll have to amputate your hand with the axe I keep in the garden. Do you want that, darling?â

It didnât take Daisy long before she felt like she needed to contact Pam, especially since sheâd seen Jervis again on the street, and even more so since she was hallucinating seeing Kilgrave again. The latter probably wasnât something that Pam could help with, but she was the reason Daisy was free. Seeing her again would at least provide some comfort. Plus, Pam knew more about Jervis than Daisy did, and Daisy couldnât help being a little concerned about him repeating past mistakes and going after someone else, especially since Pam said the real Alice was still alive. She knocked on the door of the address Pamâs had given her. âYou said we could talk, right?â She asked quietly.
Pam was enjoying a day off work, watching nature documentaries, and telling Frank to shut up every ten or so minutes. When she heard a knock on the door, she got up from the couch and made her way towards it. She wasnât expecting anyone, so when she opened the door and saw Daisy standing there, she was a little surprised. âDaisy, hi,â she said, nodding her head. âOf course. Come on in.â She stepped to the side, waiting for the other woman to step inside, before shutting the front door behind her. âIâm actually glad you came,â Pam told her. Sheâd been hoping that the other woman would take her up on her offer of talking. She was worried about her. âHowâve you been?â
