Thank youuu for the nice words!! And yeahh I do play both games. I think my most played campaigns are Dead Air and Dark Carnival. I just prefer darker maps and holdout finales.

I also still play L4D1 occasionally for the original map layouts and lesser hordes. And better sound design and better UI and legs- Seriously tho infinite horde is the absolute worst thing to ever come to exist omg valve wtf why do you have to do that

(I suck ass at gaming BTW and only play on Normal. I spam the vocalizer more often than actually shooting. 😭 So my opinions are not so valid and I'm just being a nerd.)

Coach's optimism & team spirit vs Nick's (almost paranoid) caution creates this interesting counterbalance. Aaand the amount of dialogues of Nick freaking out/complaining and Coach coaxing him is just 👌... (Every campaign...seriously they do it all the time.) I can't be the only one thinking they're like an old married couple.

why do you ship nick and coach? 👀

I figured this is a really unpopular ship so I'll put my rant below the cut!

I mean, look at their in-game dialogue!! They have this... classic "complainer & problem solver" dynamic?? And Coach is the only person who's earned Nick's genuine respect, to the point that he gets to scold Nick / poke fun at him/ tell him what to do without Nick talking back- and that's like, half of Nick's character development???? Nick attitude goes from provocative egotistic bravado to silently acknowledging Coach as their team leader- it's just 👌👌👌?? Looking at how these two interact is like watching episodes of Dog Whisperer wow I'm so normal about it

(BTW, Nick's defibrillator line for Coach "You're not leaving me with those two" I'm sO NoRMal ABouT iT

I shipped them back before I even played the game, and I seriously could not believe the fact that there's almost no content about this ship???? 😭😭 (There's ONE writer who wrote about them and that's it! Where's my sustenance??? Am I living in the false timeline???)

((P.S. I'm probably projecting because I'M that person who complains about everything all the time just for the sake of complaining... Like, I don't expect people to console me, I just want to let it out and move on. And I have this friend who would actually listen and always come back later to tell me "Here, I've solved it for you. how do you make friends in tf2?

I like to chat frequently while I'm in a server, so I often receive friend requests from players alike. (TF2 is a silly goofy game, and the people I've met who have the most friends are usually those public chat meme lords or soundboard spammers.) For me, its just to be funny, be silly, and reach out to people.

That being said, TF2's playerbase is generally very friendly and extroverted, and it's not hard to find people that share similar playstyles or common interests. Don't be shy to send friend requests or ask to join a party, they wouldn't mind. :)

I am actually a chaotic shipper who will ship anyone with everyone, and I'm talking like, permutations, all of them!

(And that goes for any fandom. I'm happy to see fanworks of every ship, although I rarely draw any.)

For L4D, (I'm so ashamed to confess it, but) right now I'm big on Francis/Zoey and Coach/Nick. I just really dig their in-game interations. 👉👈
