Sage Francis is a personal musical hero of mine going back 20+ years. I happened to have his email address from a past customer service interaction, so I reached out and asked if I could make a music video for him. To my surprise, he said yes. This was a special photo shoot. Miles was the first neighbor I met when we moved in 10 years ago. He wandered over with no human companion in sight while I was grilling outside and just plopped down next to me like he was my dog. Soon after I met his human, Erika, now an old friend.
We knew Miles' body was tired and the time was coming to ease his pain. Erika had an at-home vet coming in a few days to help him cross over when I asked if I could come shoot them. She always had this great photo of puppy Miles hanging in her house. I asked her to grab that pic and reflect on those early days as she was petting this old guy in front of us. This is what we captured. I'm proud of it. And, more importantly, Erika said she loves it, too.
