I love how the plot blurb for JSAMN makes it sound like it’s about an epic struggle between two powerful magicians, when really it’s more like two nerds get into a very petty academic feud and accidentally save the day together through imprecise naming of spell targets while having no clue what’s really going on, also one of them eats a mouse and goes mad

Saw the show first, then listened to the audiobook, then bought the book. The show is probably the best book -> show adaptation I've ever seen and both are so good!!
