Not me forgetting I had thoughts, love ADHD anyway I wish to convince you on how Gus is literally one of the most perfect men in Stardew

Number one, he can cook which is amazing but more importantly if you were to date/marry him he would constantly cook for you as a way to show you he loves you. If you tell him that you like a certain food over others? Then he's making that for you, and he can bake so you never need to get those store bought cookies ever!

Number two, He can serenade you. He plays a violin? during Alex's ten heart cut scene and I'm sure there's another place where he does but that takes time and dedication to learn the violin so you know that he's going to be able to put on the time and learn and love you

Number three look at that big man and tell me he doesn't give the best hugs on the world, he's literally made for cuddles. And you know he's physically affectionate too, definitely bear hugs you any moment he can and if he can he'll reach over the counter to kiss you.

Number four, he's like one of the least problematic store keepers ever. Like Pierre and Morris are in a constant rage war, Sandy isn't problematic but she isn't in Pelican town, Willy does nothing but fish that's just uncle material. But Gus shows how much he cares for the saloon and in his cutscene with Pam it's clear he doesn't want to hurt any friendships. He's so kind and loving 🥰

gus is just such a good guy for real... he takes the time out of his busy day to visit you, always cooks food for the events (excluding the luau technically but no one can tell me he just brought ingredients for the soup, yeah nice try that's not in his nature). literally would give anything to try his cooking, i know he'd try so hard. i love how when you give him the time of day he's sooo chatty to everyone who listens. if he can sit there and ramble on about candy canes imagine how interesting it must be to hear about other things too! he is just so passionate, and incredibly dedicated to the things he loves. he's such a kind genuine soul, he loves so deeply and pelican town is damn lucky to have him. he never wants to hurt anyone, just wants to cook for the people of the small town he loves. he would be SUCH a perfect boyfriend or friend to anyone lucky enough to have him in their life

mayor lewis leaves you a wrapped box of parsnip seeds inside to plant when you first move in and the bed in your home is very different than the one we see grandpa laying on in the cutscene. they're always working together on various projects around town so i like to believe lewis and robin tried to make the place nice for you after being abandoned for so many years. and she even decorates it with her homemade furniture to match your farm <3 they really wanted to make you feel welcomed to pelican town, didn't they?
