Random assortment of headcanons (special NPCs)

((Remember, these are my personal hcs of the AC characters, some might be somewhat based on canon, some are completely made by me and not meant to be taken as canon.))

-Tom and Sable actually have a very dark sense of humor, they just hide it.

-Leila (Kapp'n's daughter) has a speech impediment, she's an older kid, the "baby speech" shown in the game, is because of that.

-Timmy and Tommy have a speech impediment too, the repeating after its sibling thing it's a way to cope and improve their speech.

-Mabel suffered from frostbite at some point of her childhood, now her fingertips and completely numb.

-Isabelle's teeth are slightly crooked and shaped weird, due to her tendency to open everything with her mouth.

-Sounds like a joke, but Dr. Shrunk has a real psychology degree.

-Lloyd has a whole team of contractors made and run entirely by gyroids, and yes, you guessed it, all of them are named after him.

-Jack can shift sizes and appearence, but to not intimidate mortals he sizes around the height of the villager.

-Brewster is not awkward, he's just silent, however, depending on the person, he can cause awkwardness on them.

-Also, just like Shrunk, Pascal has an actual degree on marine biology, he just wasted in on pot and a boathouse.

-Lottie wears a lot of makeup because she's very baby faced and wants to look of her age.

-Celeste hasn't graduated yet, she'll graduate soon tho.

-Considering his shanties, Kapp'n is a HUGE momma's boy, but not in an unhealthy way.

-With adequate sleep and outside of her job, while still pretty snappy, Phyllis becomes easier to approach.

-As much as Harvey hates technology, he had to get a phone because harriet basically forced him to, of course its all because if there's an emergency, she gets to know. She got him a flip phone, no complicated technology bs for Harvey.

-Rover went to college with Nook before quitting college.

-As I mentioned before, Gulliver is pretty much dead, probably died between ACCF and ACNL, pretty recently.

-Resetti has two children (that are already adults), he hasn't seen them is quite a while, often leaving him thinking all he could've done wrong.

-Harriet's hair has an odd shape because of a failed diy perm.

-Blathers is an actual insomniac, Celeste on the other hand is a night owl with no insomnia.

-As I mentioned before, there are two faceless fellows, Blanco and Blanca, I decided to make them twins since 1. They had their sexes changed on their release (male in Japan, female on the rest of the world) 2. They seem to be in charge of different roles.

-Talking about Blanco and Blanca again, they seem to have favorite victims subjects, Rover seems to be Blanco's favorite, while Blanca only appears if she's interested enough in you.

my mom makes background stories for all of her animal crossing villagers and she has, inexplicably, determined that pietro had a wife who died mysteriously. so she put a tombstone outside his house because he “moves her body with him from island to island”. i asked her to elaborate. she will not.

its 2020 again so im getting back to my roots. crossing animals gijinka + barbiche

(very long) detailed lore under the cut if anyone is interested ↓↓↓ (???)

(other villagers that i don't have on my island will show up in the lore, i've included a link for them. english isn't my first language lol so i apologize if it is hard to read.)

billy and renee were the first villagers to arrive on [____] island, which its territory isn't officially registered anywhere.

billy is a debt runaway and bought a plane ticket in an underground market to wherever to save his own ass from a debt collector, rasher. while waiting in line for the illegal flight, he met renee, an ex-member of a sukeban - a girl gang. she was seriously beat up by her ex-peers, as a price for wanting to detach herself from that life.

upon arriving on the island, a third person jumps out of the plane's luggage compartement, barbiche. he was a cleaning agent at the airport, and used to take naps secretly in different planes. he doesn't think much of it and just stays on the island. (how easy going !) he's not very smart but will take any kind of job if you teach him correctly. a somewhat reliable non-verbal handyman.

weeks are passing by and the island development is going slowly, but smoothly. billy and renee engage in various construction activities, working out very hard. being a natural muscle head, the frail and old billy eventually gets ripped.

the fourth person to arrive illegally, is gayle. she arrived to the island by swimming kilometers and kilometers as a morning workout. she got lost on her way out, and being on an island that isn't officially on the worldmap, she eventually gave up and settled. a very sweet and positive girl.

next person to arrive is limberg, a stereotypical drinker and smoker, divorced from an arranged marriage with greta. despite being mostly in his own corner, people from other islands kept being at odds with him, going as far as evicting him. he didn't really care but hopping from island to island started to wear him out, so he was determined to settle on the next island with his own boat, whenever the residents liked it or not. surprisingly he was welcomed warmly.

from that point on, island development started going faster. limberg is a huge handyman, a lot of knowledge is contained within that tiny body of his. structures are getting better, and even built a ryokan - a japanese inn for residents to relax between work, which him and barbiche now manage.

during that time somewhere far away in the busy metropolis, dobie, a retired intergovernmental member is searching for a place to retire. given his important status, he only gets propositions from the top of the top retirement homes. however he doesn't want any of them. an old penpal billy, with who he kept in touch to this day is talking about this unknown, peaceful place, where the lifestyle is much more simpler, recluded from the busy citylife. he gets the coordinates, and flies is way out on the unknown island.

with dobie's arrival, the societal structure gets more solid (with just as much freedom as before) and the island is finally being registered officially to the world's eyes. proper documentation like passports are being distributed and so the resident services was erected, calling familiar faces such as tom nook and isabelle to the island. following buildings are being constructed, like the nook's cranny and the able sisters.

such a big event made its way to the news, which chadder eventually saw on TV. chadder is a well renowed pianist, with gold within his fingers. he was raised by his uncle, who is limberg. so seeing his discreet, solitary father figure in the big screen seriously made his eyes pop out. with him basically sitting on a bunch of cash he just said fuckall and joined his uncle (mostly because he was worried in the first place.) ofc he used to send money to his uncle monthly, but limberg never really made use of it and gave it to charities most of the time.

limberg is such a lone wolf rat that he never bothers to give news. so when he broke the news that he married billy (intimate wedding) in the meantime, chadder got really mad. (he seriously wanted to organise the whole wedding and throw a huge party but limberg forbid him to do so lol)

with the island gaining notoriety for its healthy and quiet lifestyle, it is being recommended to pate, a social media influencer with a huge online presence who suddenly vanished.

truth be told, pate is suffering from social media addiction and is currently on the path to heal. and one of the solution was to rest on that suggested island. and off she went.

she gets welcomed by dobie and immediately, it is not a good match unfortunately. the super pop superficial screen addict pate is clashing with the stubborn old school grumpy dobie. he is still kind hearted, and gives her a radical method to be of good use, so that she can forget the online fauna a bit. he is old and is in need of a caretaker. so without negociations, the old dobie officially assigns pate as his caretaker with her not really having any say in the matter lol. having to take care of her dear baby brother derwin in the past, she knows at least some life basics. she eventually gains back her peppiness, and learns a lot from dobie.

and out of nowhere one day, there is a huge scorpion infest on the island. the residents are managing it the best they can, but it quickly turns to chaos and videos are being relayed to the news.

on his computer screen, a huge insect otaku is closely following the case. barold recognise that little shit of invasive species and flies onto the crime scene to re-regulate the island's fauna out of curiosity and passion. as he works there, he discovers a lot of new species and decides to live there, to study flora and fauna in depth with the help of many cameras he placed here and there across the island. a part of his research is being archived in a newly built facility, which is the museum. aside from that hobby, he now manages a lost and found center near the resident services.

the island gains back its charm, having a good rating overall. to celebrate, notorious figures like kk slider is being invited, to animate the island's festival along with other independents visitors.

small workers are called to help setting up the festival and among them was katt. she is helping mostly with the concert installations, having known the musical scene a bit herself. she used to form a duo with kyle named k2k, but disbanded after conflicts.

while discussing with the residents, she meets gayle. it's truly love at first sight for katt. she ditches everything she has in the city just to try to win the heart of her gal, which she eventually succeeded to do so lol. if you mess with gayle you got a big storm coming...so watch out.

finally the last resident to set foot onto the island is mathilda, a single mom who chose to abandon city life altogether, mostly to improve the quality of life of her baby. her and bébé are warmly welcomed, with everyone having turns with taking care of the little baby. the silly and colorful residents of the island helps greatly in little bébé development and growth, representing the island spirit altogether.

and that's it i guess lol. i don't know how to wrap it up as i make up the story as i write it, but hope you've enjoyed that silly lore of mine ! :^)
