Synopsis: Lena Daniels has been in love with Jax Teller for half of her life. As she finally gains his heart, an old love comes back to Charming and threatens their future. Will Lena be able to handle Tara, and Jax’s steady rise into the President’s chair with SAMCRO?

Author’s Note: So, this is my first Sons of Anarchy story for those of you who are fans of the show. This fic is a Dark Fic.  It is set during the timeline of the entire series, but I’m not going full canon. There will be things that are actually what happened in the show, but with my own twist, and things that are not show canon. The narrative is set to fit the story itself. If you are a Tara Knowles fan, be warned, as this story may not be for you.  Also please HEED the warnings.  They are there for those get triggered by certain topics.  I will post another warning before each chapter to give a final warning.  Please if you want to be tagged just in time for first chapter, please hit up my ask.  I will gladly tag you all.

Chapter 7:

Jax smiled down at the little boy squirming around in his arms.  This was the first day since Abel was born that he could finally be held.  That precious baby boy had been through quite a lot in his first few weeks into this world.

Jax never thought he could have so much love in his heart for one person, and then he looked into Abel’s eyes, that mirrored his own.  To be honest, he was always scared to become a father.  When he and Wendy separated, and she told him that she was pregnant, he thought his entire world was crashing around him.  But the thought of abandoning his responsibility to his unborn child never crossed his mind.  He did everything he could to make sure that he would bring his son safely into this world.  Well, except for stopping his ex’s insatiable drug habit.

I’ve got to say, out of all of the amazing and emotional performances we’ve seen in Phase 4 of the MCU, Letitia Wright’s is possibly the one that impressed me the most. Tom Holland, Elizabeth, Olsen, Angela Bassett, and so many others gave great performances, but we’ve also previously seen what they were capable of. Taking the character of Shuri on this journey of grief and acceptance was so outside of what we had seen from her character, and she truly delivered.

I just saw Black Panther Wakanda Forever and without spoilers let me just say

I have never in my life seen a movie that was so clearly made with so much love, and unity, and art. This movie was such a monument to Chadwick Bosemans memory and legacy, while doing every single character justice in a new story line. Ryan Coogler made one of the best, if not THE best movies there is, and I can't wait to see what comes next.

This country claims to be democratic but 9 unelected people who's values and opinions formed decades prior, who can get into this position without strong or even any valid credentials, can decide to negatively impact or even destroy millions of lives and they cannot be held accountable for it. They can't be impeached or voted out. It's only the most convoluted combination of election-year voting, voter suppression/lack thereof, and idk fucking cowardice from both sides that got any of them to where they are now. 9 people who are cemented in their beliefs and then use the law and constitution to justify their moral opinions that they insist don't influence their rulings at all. We can't vote then out. We just have to hope they retire or die under the presidency of someone who doesn't want to actively kill everything, and eve then we have to contend with any given republican or spineless Democrat in the Senate.

And even then, we cannot get rid of them. Nine people make decisions for 300+ million, affecting their ability to defend themselves, to live peacefully, to lead healthy and happy and safe lives. Nine people can ruin lives for decades to come.

Nine people. Nine. People.

a decade ago, 20 children and 6 staff members were shot and killed in the tragic sandy hook elementary school shooting. today, a decade later, 14 children and 1 teacher had their lives taken at robb elementary school in texas. it’s been a decade, and there has been nothing done to prevent this from ever happening again. may they all rest in peace.
