And is at a state of general peace, with Luz enrolled in Hexside alongside her friends whilst also still getting help from Eda the Owl Lady!       However, just because in the beginning of the roleplay it is rather peaceful, does not mean the plot won’t thicken to either follow the show’s route or go it’s own route!

TRANS WOMEN: HERE'S SOME SHIT YOUR DOCTOR WONT TELL YOU ABOUT HRT

1. Progesterone: not for everyone, but for many people it may increase sex drive and WILL make your boobs bigger. Also effects mood in ways that many find positive (but some find negative). Most doctors won’t prescribe this to you unless you ask. Most trans girls I know swear by it.

2. Injectible estrogen: is more effective than pill or patch form. Get on it if you can bear needles bc you will see more effects more quickly.

3. Estradiol Cypionate: There is currently a shortage of injectible estradiol valerate. There is no shortage of estradiol cypionate. Functionally they do the same shit.

4. Bicalutamide: This is an anti-androgen that has almost none of the side-effects of spironolactone or finasteride. The girls I know who are on it are evangelical about it.

LMAO DREAMWORKS IS TRASH. As an Asian violinist who was excited about seeing this movie before, I just wanna say FUCK YOU. FUCK WHOEVER ALLOWED FOR THIS TO BE IN THE FINAL CUT. Dreamworks finally got the galls to make a movie starring an Asian girl and they decided to put in this Chinese imperialistic agenda against my country!! GREAT //s

For those who didn’t know: that above is the nine-dash line, a controversial and wildly false statement by China, claiming that the Eastern Sea (which belongs to Vietnam alongside other SEAsian countries) was actually their territory according to some obscure history that only they seem to remember - I wonder why. The whole thing an entire mess and a half, but it did die down some time ago. I honestly didn’t expect to see it again, let alone be reminded of it in this seemingly lighthearted family movie of a WESTERN company.

A lot of Vietnamese people are calling to boycott Dreamworks and for this, I completely understand why. They should’ve known better, there’s no excuse to this.

How to get on hrt through planned parenthood

You don’t need to participate in therapy or provide information from a mental health provider to receive hormone therapy. Planned parenthood runs on the informed consent model.

How to find the right one

1. You can call them! Try saying something like this if you dont know what to say: “Hi, I would like to set up a gender affirming hormone appointment. I live close to *insert town here* what’s the closest Planned Parenthood to me that offers it?”

2. If you can go online, then look up what Planned Parenthood is close to you and look for “LGBT Services” under the “Services Offered” or “Get Care” part of the site. Click that. If they have “Hormone Therapy for Transgender Clients”, congrats! They offer HRT!

3. You can also just go into your local planned parenthood and ask them. They’re super nice and helpful!

Phone call

1.  if you do call I suggest calling about a week before the appointment time you want, because they put your appointment about a week out after the call, so if there is a specific time you really need keep that in mind.

2.  The phone call is simple, and they just asked for basic needed information. They also ask for your preferred name and preferred pronouns :) Don’t worry if you can’t answer everything at the time though because all they’re doing is writing things down so there is less paperwork for you to do when you get there. So if you blank on all your insurance information and can’t even remember if you HAVE insurance when they ask, it’s okay, you can fill that out at your appointment.

3.  Once you’ve made the call and the appointment, they have a text reminder system. That remind you when your appointment is right away, the day before the appointment, and the day of.

4. You can cancel as close to ON the day of the appointment WITHOUT getting charged. Ask them to make sure if this is an option at your planned parenthood.

The appointment

1. After that, it’s just about getting to the appointment. I suggest trying to get there around 15 min earlier then your appointment as there will be paperwork to fill out.

2. The paperwork is simple, things like name, preferred name, preferred pronouns, any preexisting conditions, insurance information: the basics.  

3. At your first visit these are the things that will happen:

• They’ll do a urine sample.

• Review your medical history, including your sexual and surgical history and current health practices

• Measure your weight and blood pressure

• Discuss your transition goals

• Draw your blood to watch for potential side effects of hormones (just a finger prick)

• Explain how to take hormones with your preferred method and answer any questions you might have

1.  After that you have to simply sign off that you wish to start HRT and sign the information paper. So they give you the information, go over everything, answer questions, confirm you’re healthy enough to go on without complications, and then you sign and get the prescription for your HRT.

After the appointment

1.  You go back into the waiting room: you confirm where you want the prescription sent at the front desk, and choose how to pay. NOTE: some may have a thing called the Trans Help Fund where it’s basically “Pay as much as you feel comfortable and the money from this fund will pay for the rest.” ask if they have that!

2.  Once you have paid (you might not even have to pay) you’re gonna be told to come in 3 months later to see how you’re doing. You’re given a 3 month supply of hormones too so you’re gonna need to come in in 3 months anyway for that as planned parenthood doesnt allow you to refill your prescription over the phone, you have to do it in person.

3. Go pick up your prescription!
