A week before Halloween 2021, we adopted this handsome fellow 🥰 Kids named him Pippin, after the LOTR character, and he is Very Cuddly, purrs a heck ton, and has only ever accidentally scratched due to a birth defect: his claws do not retract.

Another town mentioned, and the drive there. They did route research, and added a healthy 15 minutes onto the drive, but the roads they're talking about are so twisty and without guardrails that an out of towner would probably take close to an hour and forty five, not just the hour 😂

Oof. Can't think of anyone that drives up and down the grade road this much either! If you lived anywhere up that far into the mountains, you're not taking daily jaunts down to that town without a profitable af business.

Searching for fic because I woke up at 5 something, and for the third time in my life: found fanfiction set, not just in my state, but my home county. My hometown is mentioned, a neighboring one featured.

It's always effing wild, because every time so far the writer has been very obviously not a local. So I'm buckling in now to read it 😂

Currently: the author did do some cursory research of the history of the county, but it's set roughly in 2010 - 2012. There are far more animal clinics than they seem to think, and far less bars.
