PART SIX
Acacia is a girl in highschool only trying to readjust herself to her new surroundings, while keeping her brother out of trouble. Everything has been a boring routine till she ends up on the wrong side of town at the wrong time, this is where she first meets Chen, although the circumstances aren’t the best.
Jongdae’s POV
Sometimes I forget she’s so young. But the realization hits me when she looks up at me with those sad eyes. So innocent. I grab her hand when the elevator opens and lead her out of the huge building. We walk in silence for awhile but slowly Acacia gets closer to me before pressing herself into my side letting me know she wasn’t upset anymore.
I lead her into some store and let her go pick some outfits out as I watched her carefully. I sat in the lounge area in front of the entrance making sure to watch the people coming in as well. I didn’t take her out often out of fear that we’d run into Minho’s men or her brother...
I still didn’t know what to do about her brother. Through surveillance Sehun discovered the mother doesn’t pay much attention to the boy. It hurt me to watch Acacia worry about him and it was obvious the separation was taking a toll on her health. “Are you ok?” I’m brought out of my thoughts to see Acacia struggling to hold a multitude of outfits in her arms. I chuckle as I take the clothes from her arms. “I’m fine why?” She just looks at me curiously as I go to pay for the clothes. “You look worried.” I give her a sad smile before placing a kiss on her head. “I can’t imagine why.” We exit the store and wait a few minutes for one of Suho’s lower men to appear. “Just leave them at the front counter ok?” The man nods at me before driving off with the shopping bags.
“Alright what kind of Ice cream are we eating today sweet girl?” Acacia giggles as I place kisses all over her face as I wrap an arm around her shoulders. “Mmmm Strawberry sounds good.” I smile down at her as we continue to walk towards the ice cream parlor. “Then strawberry ice cream is what you’ll get.” We arrive at the shop fairly quickly and order just as fast. I can’t help but admire Acacia as she licks at the pink treat in her hands. “What?” I just shake my head as I lick my own cone. We decided to walk to the nearby park and we were currently sitting on a bench watching as parents and kids ran around.
“This is nice. I missed this.” Acacia tilts her head at me questioning what I meant. “I mean normal things. Like getting ice cream and going to the park...I’ve been working for a long time.” I choose my words carefully as an elderly couple pass us. “How long.” I sigh as I look down at her. She looking me dead in the eyes. “About 7 years give or take.”
“What’s your official position?” I get up to throw my ice cream away suddenly not hungry. I could hear Acacia rush after me as she pulls on my sleeve. “ interrogator. Kai is the first line. When he evaluates a subject and deducts he won’t be able to get the information he needs willingly he’ll turn them over to me. I also do a lot of clean up. Im the safety net if you will.” I place my hand in front of Acacia to stop her from stepping farther up the path where a couple kids were running. “Ok so you make sure that no one really knows about Exo unless Suho allows it.” I nod as I continue to walk farther up the trail. “Exactly. I’ll get the information I need as efficiently as possible.” Acacia stays silent before walking in front of me a little walking backwards so she can look up at me. “So can I call you Jongdae in public or do I have to use your code name.” The girl tilts her head up to me as she continues to walk backwards. “In private you are allowed to call me Jongdae. In public you will have to call me Chen.” Acacia pouts up at me as she stops walking. I give her a small smile before placing a finger under her chin. “Of course that is Junmyeon’s official wishes. My personal ones however are that you call me whatever you please.” I place a kiss on her lips and chuckle when I feel her smile into me.
“Acacia?” I quickly end the kiss before I push Acacia behind me turning to look at who said her name. In front of me I recognized Andrew and his mother and my blood runs cold when I my eyes shift to Minho. The older pair seemed to be out of breathe leading me to believe Andrew must have run off and they had just caught up. “I don’t understand. Baby we thought you were dead.” I keep my hold on Acacia strong afraid that she’ll run to them. “Yeah we were worried sick about you.” I glare at Minho who just smirks at me. I just wanted to slice the bastards throat. I’m brought out of my thoughts when Acacia runs to Andrew who just wraps his tiny arms around her. I look at her crying form and quickly back at Minho.
Acacia’s POV
Oh it felt so good to hug him again. I almost forgot his voice and his smell but it all came rushing back to me and I couldn’t help the tears that rolled down my face. I almost forgot that my mom and Minho were standing just in front of me. “If you hurt my baby I’m going to kill you.” What? I look up to see my mom getting in Jongdae’s face. “Mom stop!” I pull her back only receive I confused look from me. I don’t get to say anything before Jongdae pulls me back to him standing in front of me protectively. “Listen the best thing for you to do is to just leave.” Jongdae glares at Minho as I grab onto the back of his shirt. “Have you forgotten who I am? I made you boy.” I tighten my grip on Jongdae’s shirt and twist as I take in Minho’s words. I snap out of it when I see Minho reach from his waistband. The rest was such a blur. My mom registered the situation before me going to step in front of the gun. Minho doesn’t even flinch before shooting through her. The bullet grazes a tree just barely missing Jongdae and I. “Shit. I needed her.” I stare numbly at my mothers body before Jongdae rushes to pick Andrew up. He grabs my wrist before running through the trees. “Get back here you low life.” We don’t make it very far before I hear a gunshot and Jongdae cry out shortly after. He tumbled to the ground Andrew falling with him. I quickly run back to him to see that he was him in the stomach. He groans before standing up again. “We need to keep going.”
But my world stops when I hear Andrew’s voice. “Acacia.” His voice breaks as he continues to cry as Minho presses the gun into the boys temple. “I don’t have any patience for this.” And with that I watch him kill my brother. This time I scream when the gun goes off. Everything hurt. Jongdae leans up on his arm before throwing one of his knifes at Minho. He hits him in the gut causing the man to double over in pain. “Come on.” I ignore jongdae’s pull on my arm as I cradle my brothers lifeless body. “We can’t stay here Acacia.” I just sob as I feel Jongdae struggle to pull the boy from my arms taking me in his instead. I just continue to sob as he gets us out of the park as soon as possible. We weren’t even at the end of the block before we heard the police sirens.
Everything was mush. I didn’t even notice that we had entered a building until I heard a ding from an elevator. As soon as it begins to go down Jongdae falls to the ground his back against the wall. I scramble out of his arms and press my back into the corner. My cries get even louder when I see his chin on his chest which was barely moving. “Wake up. Jongdae wake up you can’t leave me too.” I quickly pull his jacket off and his knife vest before starting on his shirt. The elevator door opens up again and the familiar sound of music and the smell of cigarette smoke met my senses.
“Help!” I scream as I fumble with Jongdae’s blood soaked shirt. “Help! Kris Junmyeon!” I hear rapid footsteps behind me as I finally get the damn shirt off of him. I look down at the bullet wound my hands shaking as the hover over it. “Oh my god.” I hear someone shriek behind me before a man comes to crouch next to me. “Let me see.” I just shake my head as I pull Jongdae’s head up as I try to get him to wake up. “Please Jongdae please!” The man tries to grab my wrist but I just shake him off. “I can’t help him if she doesn’t move.” I’m suddenly being dragged away as the man that was next to me moves to look at Jongdae’s wound. “No! Let me go! Stop!” I scream and thrash around as the much taller figure just pulls me closer to him. “It’s me kid it’s just me.” I relax a little when I hear Kris’s smoke scented voice. Suddenly Junmyeon is in front of me. “Acacia what happened??” Panic begins to set in again as I just shake my head. “It happened so fast. We were just at the park and my brother must have seen me and ran after us. Minho was there and my mom. I hadn’t seen him in so long I almost forgot what he smelled like.” I feel tears sting my eyes again as I sink to the ground Kris trying to support me. “What happened after Acacia? Why is Jongdae hurt??” I continue to sob as I lean back into Kris. “Minho pulled out a gun and my mom tried to stop him. And he shot her. And he just threw her away like garbage. Jongdae picked up Andrew and started running and I guess I followed. But I heard another gunshot and Jongdae fell and so did Andrew. I didn’t know what was happening. I didn’t even know he grabbed Andrew. How did I not notice? How? He was right there then he wasn’t. Jongdae stabbed Minho and he ran off I guess. He was so warm when I hugged him first but he got cold so fast. So fast....” I manage to choke out what happened before my mind wanders back and the scene begins to replay again the pain just as harsh as the first time. “Junmyeon.Kris I need help carrying him to a car. We need to get him to my office fast!” I look up numbly to see the man who took my spot beside Jongdae had blood all over his hands and a bullet places in his palm but Jongdae still remained still. “Is he? He can’t be.” Kris looks down at me before I feel a pair of hands wrap around my shoulders.
“You need to stay here with me sweetie ok?” I look up to see Winry looking down at me. She tightens her grip on my as Kris,Junmyeon and the other man carries Jongdae towards some cars the mechanic man following them with some keys. Her grip wasn’t necessary. I was too numb to follow.

PART FIVE
Acacia is a girl in highschool only trying to readjust herself to her new surroundings, while keeping her brother out of trouble. Everything has been a boring routine till she ends up on the wrong side of town at the wrong time, this is where she first meets Chen, although the circumstances aren’t the best.
Acacia’s POV
“You’ll drive yourself crazy reading that.”I quickly wipe my tears and close the file folder when I hear Jongdae’s voice behind me. “Its all I have.” I whisper as I stare down at the folder. Sehun brought another report on Andrew  a few days ago and I had just brought myself to read it. “Come here.” I get up from the chair and come to stand in front of Jongdae who was leaning against the door frame to the bedroom. I allow him  to trace my cheeks wiping away any stray tears before he pressing my head into his chest. “I could tell Junmyeon you aren’t feeling well. We don’t have to go.” I just shake my head as I wrap my arms around his waist. Jongdae just sighs before pulling me tighter. “We should probably get going then.”
I mumble a small ok and pull back to go get Jongdae’s hoodie. I slip it over my head and turn to see Jongdae smiling widely at me. “What?” He just shakes his head before he walks over to me. “Nothing we’re just gonna have to get you some smaller clothes.” I look down to see his hoodie came all the way down to my knees. “Oh.” I feel a small smile grow on my face when I see Jongdae throw his head back laughing. “We’ll go after the meeting puppy.” I nod my head as Jongdae places a hand on my back as he leads me out of the room.
Kris and Kai were the ones that picked us up. Kris greeted me with a smile and a playful shove while Kai remained silent. He would look at me through the rear view mirror but quickly looked away when I spot him staring. Ever since that night he’s kept his distance from me. Jongdae told me he felt guilty and that I should wait for him to approach me. I’m wondering if he ever would. “Alright puppy stay close to me.” I step out of the car and take Jongdae’s hand and look up at the tall skyscraper. Just what did this gang do?
I’m pulled from my thoughts when Jongdae leads me into the building Kris and Kai in front of us. As soon as we walk into the building, we’re greeted by Kyungsoo who was standing by some Asian women. “Is this her?” Kai playfully asks Kyungsoo only to be shut down with a glare. “Everyone else is downstairs. Junmyeon won’t be pleased you didn’t bring the girls.” I look confused as Kyungsoo sends questioning glances at both Kai and Kris. “They’re both grown women we can’t force them to do anything. Besides it’s not like Junmyeon doesn’t know them.” Kris places another cigarette in his mouth before winking at the shorter man who just proceeds to roll his eyes and stand in front of the woman standing beside him.
Jongdae snorts as he pulls me towards some elevators. He enters a code into a smaller looking one, the doors opening moments later. We step inside and begin our descent to “the design lab” whatever that was. As soon as the doors open we’re met with the low tone of music and the sound of chatter. Jongdae pulls me into the room as I stay slightly behind them. There was a bar in the corner a red headed girl serving drinks as a rather mean looking man stood behind her watching her like a hawk. Sehun was sitting in front of an array of computers a girl with wild hair sitting on his lap sipping on a cup of coffee as she whispered something in his ear earning a chuckle from him. In the corner was a rather childish looking man wearing some sort of mechanics uniform. He was smiling fondly at a Hispanic girl who just appeared to scold him as she wiped some grease off his face.
Over in the corner a pair of girls talking to each other one of them had dark chocolate skin while the others was sun kissed and sported cherry red lipstick. The two men beside them were a lot more quiet only muttering a few words to each other. One of the them was fairly tall with sharp calculated eyes and he seemed quite possessive over the dark skinned girl, his hands gripping her waist tight. The other was soft looking in a way and somewhat dejected from the whole atmosphere. I snap my attention to the couch in the room when I hear Chanyeol’s booming laugh. A small blond girl was placed in his lap his cheeks tinted red as she places a kiss on her cheek. That’s when I noticed Junmyeon in a similar position smiling at the woman beside him as he places his hand over her heart. She whispers something to him and that’s when he turns his attention towards Jongdae and I.
“Ah so glad you could make it. Took you long enough.” Jongdae accepts junmyeon’s hug as I stand awkwardly behind him. “Ah Acacia don’t be so shy.” I give Junmyeon a smile before pressing myself into Jongdae’s side. “She’s so young Junmyeon don’t push it.” The woman who was sitting beside him gives his suit sleeve a tug before she smiles at me. “My names Winry. It’s nice to meet you Acacia.” I give her a small smile in return as I peek my head up at her. I mean she was right. I was the youngest person here seeing that almost all of the occupants were drinking some form of alcohol. “Let’s get this meeting started.” Winry goes to take a seat on the couch as Junmyeon goes to stand in front of the room. Jongdae leads us towards the couch sitting me down beside Winry before sitting beside me.
“So first order of business. The date has been set for next month. All should go smoothly if we take the right precautions. Some of which will need to be added.” Junmyeon pauses to look around the room. “I'm arranging to have all of the girls stay in Jeju on race day. It’s our safest option.” My heart starts to beat rapidly. “Jongdae what is he talking about?” Jongdae just quiets me as he caresses my cheek before wrapping his arm around me. “Luhan, Kris, Chanyeol  and I will be racing that day so we’ll have an alibi if need be. Tao will be posted with Xiumin in a building across from the finish line where  my father will be posted. Kyungsoo will make sure my father is in the right position and Tao will take him out. One bullet. Clean and easy. Baekhyun and Kai will take him to Lay who will make it look like we did everything we could to keep him alive. Sehun will make sure any and all cameras in the area are jammed at the moment of the shot while Jongdae will make sure no bystanders see Tao or Xiumin...that’ll be the easy part but some new information has come to my attention.”
“What new information?” The mean looking man at the bar asks. “Sehun care to enlighten the rest of us.” Sehun clears his throat before standing up from his chair the girl sitting on his lap taking his spot. “Well sources tell me that the Tarins will be at the race. Rumors are spreading that Mr.Kim is trying to spark some deal with them regarding drug trade. It’s possible the Tarins could organize their own assassination or once Mr.Kim is taken out they might possibly try to gain control of our territory.” I feel Jongdae tightens his grip on me his face hardening. “So we need to make sure that doesn’t happen at any cost. Taking my father out will be the calm before the storm. We should be prepared for anything.”
There’s too many scenarios that could come into play. Minho wasn’t completely dumb..he’d think of something to undermine Junmyeon. But if we knew his move....”Just send me in.”
“Absolutely not.” Jongdae glares at me as I just stare straight at Junmyeon. “Think about it. Minho would never suspect that I even know of you. I know his daily schedule. Party. Get drunk. Sleep repeat. I’d have the perfect window to sneak into his office. I can get Sehun access to his computer. It’s a no brainer.” Junmyeon raises an eyebrow at me as Jongdae turns his glare on to the man in front of us. “Don’t you dare say fucking yes so help me god I’ll gut you right here.” I flinch at Jongdae’s tone as he pulls me to his chest. Junmyeon sighs before shaking his head. “It’s too risky. It would be better if you were the rest of the girls in Jeju.” I just pout as I sink into the man behind me. “But that doesn’t mean we can’t use that intelligence of yours in a different way.” My ears perk up at the mention of being useful. “If you could reconstruct Minho’s schedule we could orchestrate a small intelligence operation a week before the race.”
“Woah woah woah. There’s no way princess here can remember exactly what this man is going to do.” My anger boils up as I turn to face a clearly intoxicated man behind me. “I have an eidetic memory. I literally remember everything my eyes see. So I know for a fact Minho has a vacation planned in three weeks because I was snooping through his office the third Sunday of last month. That would be the perfect time Junmyeon.” I turn back as the man just mumbled something under his breath the red head smacking him upside the head.
“Alright Sehun and Kyungsoo will plan our next move. That’s all. Get ready.” Junmyeon walks over to Sehun, Winry going up to follow him as the rest of the room breaks off. “We’re leaving.” I gulp when I hear Jongdae’s hard voice whisper in my ear. I just nod as he pulls me up from the couch and pulls me to the elevator. “Good luck Acacia.” I glare at Kris as he just takes another puff from his cigarette smirking at me. As soon as the doors to the elevator close Jongdae wastes no time in pushing me against the wall slamming his hands on either side of my head. “Are you suicidal. You know it’s too dangerous for you to just show up out of nowhere. Minho isn’t dumb trust me I know. He would’ve found out in a heartbeat and he would’ve killed you like nothing.” What is he talking about? “Do you understand?!” I flinch as Jongdae raises his voice. “Do you understand?!” I feel tears sting my eyes as I answer yes quickly closing my eyes after.
I keep my eyes closed as Jongdae sighs. “I’m sorry puppy I just don’t want to lose you.” I nod as I bury my face in his chest. “It’s ok. Why don’t we get ice cream after getting you some clothes ok?” I mumble small ok as I sniffle and look up at him.
Jongdae’s POV
Sometimes I forget she’s so young. But the realization hits me when she looks up at me with those sad eyes. So innocent. I grab her hand when the elevator opens and lead her out of the huge building

PART FOUR
Winry is an independent woman who recently got a job working for Mr. Kim’s designer car company as their secretary. She immediately has a bad encounter, and notices that Mr. Kim is a little too touchy. Winry also notices that Mr. Kim’s son, Junmyeon, isn’t fond of his father's actions. He suddenly becomes invested in protecting her innocence.
Winry’s POV
I sit at my dining table Junmyeon sitting all the way at the other end staring back at me. I thought I had this man figured out. He was just supposed to be a business man....not some gangster. “Please Winry. Say something.” I look up from my shaking hands taking in Junmyeon’s face. It was completely tense. “What...what’s gonna happen to me?” Junmyeon keeps a straight face as he answers. “I already told you. You’re under my protection now. Nothing is going to happen to you.” Before I thought he meant I could hide behind some fancy body guards he could hire but now I knew he meant he’d kill people himself. And they weren’t empty threats. Empty promises. “This is too much.” I sigh as I stand up and walk to peer out my window, the lights of Seoul illuminating my face.
“I know this can’t be easy.” I just shake my head as I continue to look out the window. “Were you ever gonna tell me?” My ears are met with silence before he finally answers. “I don’t know. Part of me wants to protect you from that world but another part of me is confused as to why I care so much. You’re ripping me apart dove....” I shiver when I feel Junmyeon come to stand behind me. “This is dangerous. I’ve never loved something so small. So defenseless. I’d do anything to protect you dove. Do you know that? You could get me into a lot of trouble.” My skin ignites when I feel Junmyeon slip his arms around my waist and bury his head into my neck.
What am I doing? Any normal person would’ve ran. Hid. Done something. But this felt too good I was warm. Safe. Protected. I didn’t want to run or hide. I wanted to stay here. With him. I feel my heart beat speed up as Junmyeon turns to press my back against the window. I allow him to trace my face the rings on his fingers contrasting with my heated cheeks. “You’ll be the death of me.” I tilt my head into his palm placing a kiss there before looking up at him. Junmyeon closes his eyes at the action taking a deep breathe as he rubs circles into my cheek. I cautiously lean up on my toes and attempt to place a kiss on Junmyeon’s lips only to have him stop me, intertwining our hands before pressing his body into mine.
“Are you sure about this?” His whole mask had crumbled away as the concern began to show on his features. “Yes.” Junmyeon continues to stare at me as he lifts our hands above my head pressing them into the glass. “You have to be positive about this Winry. Once you’ve said yes I won’t be able to let you go.”
“So don’t let go.” I whisper as I look back up at him. As soon as the words leave my mouth he closes the space between our lips. Junmyeon pushes his body impossibly close to mine as he squeezes my hands. My breathe comes out heavy when he pulls away pressing kisses all over my face and neck. “I wouldn’t dream of it dove.” He places a gentle kiss on my lips before finally taking a few breathes for himself. I feel his grip loosen and I bring his hand down to my chest. “As long as my heart is beating I’m yours.” Junmyeon smirks as he leaves his hand on my chest. He looks at me before suddenly picking me up causing me to shriek. “Junmyeon?!” He just giggles as he carries me to the couch. “I just want to listen for awhile.” I’m confused as to what he means until he lays me down placing his head on my chest. I just smile and shake my head before making myself comfortable. I just run my fingers through his hair until eventually I drift off to sleep...
Junmyeon’s POV
I groan when the sunlight leaks on to my face. Slowly the sound of Winry’s steady heartbeat fills my ears. I slowly lift myself off of her careful not to wake her. I smile down at her as she curls into a ball. I stretch and check my watch to see it was 8 am already. Shit my dad was probably waiting for me. Fucking test drive days. I text Kyungsoo and tell him to stall. “Winry, dove wake up.” I smile as she rolls onto her back rubbing her eyes before looking up at me. “Shit we’re late aren’t we?!” I watch amused as Winry bolts up from the couch and runs to her room to get dressed. I shake my head as look through the overnight bag I had One of my maids drop off while we were at the office yesterday. I begin to change into a navy suit buttoning up the shirt as I turn to watch Winry buzz around the kitchen. I bite my lip and tilt my head when he pencil skirt rides up her thighs as she desperately reaches for the coffee placed on the top shelf.
“We can pick some up on the way. We don’t want the whole office talking do we?” I sneak up behind her squeezing her butt before placing a kiss on her cheek. I chuckle as she lets out a little shriek. I grab her coat and help her put it on before grabbing her purse and the door. I place my hand on Winry’s thigh as I drive through the streets of soul. I smile wide when I feel her grip my hand impossibly tight her other hand gripping her seat belt. “Junmyeon don’t you think you’re going a little fast?”
“We’re late and I’m a racer dove, what do you expect?” I can’t hold in my laugh when the small girl tries to glare at me. As we arrive at the office I drive and park Baekhyuns car back into its respective place before walking towards the meeting area. As much as I hated to I let Winry’s Hands drop from mine as we enter the conference room.
I take my seat next to my father at the end of the table earning nothing but a disgusted look from him. “Ah good morning Winry, how are you dear?” I glare at my father as he grabs Winry’s hand placing a kiss there before letting her continue to pass out the itineraries. “I’m doing great Mr.Kim thank you.” Winry forces a smile as she glances at my father. As she places the paper in the front of me I give her a reassuring smile. Not much longer and she would never have to see the bastard again.
I sigh and nod at Baekhyun signaling him to start his presentation before we head to the testing track. “Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce....” I don’t pay too much attention to the designs I’m sure they were brilliant. What I was concerned about was just when I’d set my plan into motion and how’d I’d manage to keep Winry out of the crossfire.....

PART FOUR
Acacia is a girl in highschool only trying to readjust herself to her new surroundings, while keeping her brother out of trouble. Everything has been a boring routine till she ends up on the wrong side of town at the wrong time, this is where she first meets Chen, although the circumstances aren’t the best.
Acacias POV
Jongdae has been gone all day and I was extremely bored. He said he had some business to take care of so he wouldn’t be back home until later today. It’s been almost a month now. The only people who knew about me was Chanyeol,Kris, Sehun and  Kai so my contact with the outside world was very limited. I had convinced Sehun to check up on my brother by hacking into the schools system.
I let out a shaky sigh as I look over the documents. Andrew had been beat up five times since I left and his grades were dropping. He was less focused and agitated.
“The out of character behavior is believed to be due to his older sisters disappearance. It would seem Andrew is having a hard time grasping the fact Acacia might not be coming back. At this time the police believe she is dead but therapy-“
I slam the file folder closed as I try to keep my emotions in check. I could only imagine what Andrew was going through right now. Our mom payed barely any attention to him half the time and Minho definitely didn’t seriously care enough. He thought I was dead...
I hold my breathe when I hear the sound of the front door opening. I look at the time on Jongdae’s alarm to see he wasn’t supposed to be back for another few hours. I quietly get up from his desk and creep to the door to his room and peer into the living room. I see a man standing in the kitchen dressed in a suit. I slowly make my way towards the front door. I made the mistake of turning my back to him as I reach for the door knob. “Well hello there.” I screech when I feel someone grab me by my waist and fling me to the ground. I groan as I touch my barely heeled stomach. I look up to see a completely different man this one dressed in all black and much smaller than the first man. Shit there’s two of them. The man from the kitchen comes to stand next to the other man both of them looking down at me.
“Who are you?” The smaller man asks me his voice equally as stoic as his face. I don’t say anything as I scoot back getting flashbacks from my first interrogation. Something told me these men wouldn’t be as patient as Jongdae. “My name is Acacia. Who are you?” The taller man raises his eyebrow as he looks down at me. Why did he look so familiar?... I continue to study his face before I feel someone grab my hair. “All you need to do is answer my questions.” I Yelp and grab my head as the stoic man just grabs my hair and throws me down on a chair from the kitchen. I stare at the pair with wide eyes as Mr.Stoic uses the wires from Jongdae’s lamps to tie me to the chair. I turn my attention the the other man as I try to place him. The more I knew about him the better. Maybe I could find some leverage....I know I’ve seen him somewhere shit Acacia think.
“I know you’re not a prostitute. Chen’s  h never been one to enjoy such things.” I start to pay attention again once I hear the Jongdae’s code name. He explained to me weeks ago that he only used his real name within his inner circle. So maybe if I used his real name and they recognized it I would be able to talk them into trusting me? “You two know Jongdae??”
Big mistake. I gasp once I feel a gun being pressed against my head. He pulled it out so fast. “Suho she must be a spy.” I whimper and close my eyes as I try to think but the only thing running through my mind was the probability that I would be shot. “Possibly.” I look up to see the man in the suit studying me. I look at him tears now streaming down my face. “Please. Don’t do this.” The man just continues to stare at me while his friend keeps his gun at my temple. Please god. Please don’t let this be it.
“What the hell are you doing in my apartment?” My eyes snap open to see Jongdae standing in the door way. “Jongdae!” He stops glaring at the two men and instead shifts his gaze to me his eyes immediately softening. “Kyungsoo I recommend you point that gun somewhere else or I’ll cut you to hell and back.” I feel the cool metal pull away from my head causing me to let out a shaky sigh. Jongdae drops whatever he was carrying in his hands before coming to kneel in front of me. “Hey I’m here now.” I nod as I watch him undo the lamp wires. As soon as he undos the last one he wraps me up in his arms burying my face into his chest as I continue to cry. “Shhh it’s ok they won’t hurt.”
“Care to explain Jongdae?” I look behind Jongdae to stare up at the man Kyungsoo called Suho. Jongdae sighs as he leans back his hand coming to wipe my tears from my cheek as he looks at me. “Dinner first.” Jongdae continues to look over me for any wounds before giving me a small smile. “Think you can manage cooking?” I nod as I move to get up. “Here I’ll help you carry the groceries into the kitchen.” I smile at Jongdae as I go to grab the bags sitting on the ground. “Here let me.” I pause as Suho reaches the bag before I can. I only nod at him before running off to the kitchen to start prepping the food. Kyungsoo brings in the last bag before deeply bowing. I look at the food and estimate how long it’ll take me before turning back to Jongdae. “How about Ramen?” Jongdae gives me a smile.
“Sounds great Puppy.” I smile back before turning to start cooking.
Jongdae’s POV
I sigh as I shut the door to my office taking one last look at Acacia before turning to look at the two men in front of me. I raise an eyebrow at Junmyeon and wait from an explanation as I lean against the glass doors. “You hadn’t shown up for a meeting for almost a month Jongdae. You can only be sick for so long. I was concerned.” I scoff at Junmyeon but I should’ve known he would show up sooner or later. He always was so impatient.
“Clearly I’m fine.” I mumble as I glare at him. “Clearly you’ve been gone because of the girl. She’s a problem.” I slip one of the knifes I keep in my specially made harness and toss it just above Kyungsoo’s head. “Acacia is not a problem. Got it?” He doesn’t flinch but I can tell he wasn’t expecting it. “No need to get upset Jongdae. We just didn’t expect her to be here.” I look at Junmyeon before I feel some of my anger slipping away. He was right. I specifically told Chanyeol to make sure the others kept their mouth shut about her. “You’re right. I’m sorry. This is partly my fault.” I push off the door and go to grab my knife. “I told Chanyeol not to tell you. It’s not that I don’t trust you. It’s just I didn’t think you’d understand me keeping her safe.” Junmyeon nods as he waits for me to continue.
“Kai got beat up pretty badly by some Tarins. Acacia and her younger brother Andrew had been caught in the middle of it. Andrew got away while Acacia distracted them. One of them recognized her and Kai took that as her being a Tarin herself. Since you put him under Kris’s care he decided the best course of action would be for me to extract information from her....I tortured her for about two hours before she admitted the only reason she wouldn’t talk was because she was protecting her brother....” I pause and look up at Junmyeon who held sympathy in his eyes. He knows how much I hate doing that shit when my victim was innocent. All that pain for nothing.
“Sehun did some research and found out that her mother is dating Minho. Other than that she has no connection to the Tarins. I was going to bring her to you but I wanted her to heal properly and...”
“Forgive you.” I hesitantly nod before looking down at the ground. “I’m not mad Jongdae but what do you suppose we do with her?” I look up at Junmyeon. He wasn’t suggesting to get rid of her was he?
“Excuse me but Dinner is ready.” Acacia peaks her head into the room. She still looked worried. I was too if I was being honest. “Thank you Acacia. We’ll be right there.” Junmyeon smiles at her and waits for her to leave before turning to me again. “We’ll talk about this more later. Don’t worry so much.” I nod before following Jongdae out of my study Kyungsoo behind us.
Winry’s POV
Dinner was fairly quiet. I didn’t eat much and I didn’t look up either. Halfway through Jongdae slips his hand into mine giving it a little squeeze every now and then. “Acacia I would like to apologize for frightening you. But I need to know. Do you care for Jongdae?” I look up at suho surprised at his question. “Suho what are you-“
“Yes.” I look at Jongdae. He looked surprised but he also looks like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders. “I care for him very much.” This time I look at Jongdae when I answer giving his hand a squeeze. Anyone outside of the situation would view this as Stockholm’s syndrome but I knew it wasn’t. Even if I had a chance to leave. I wouldn’t. I couldn’t. I’m sure if I met Jongdae in any other situation I would feel the exact same way.
“Then you have nothing to worry about.” I look at Suho and give him a small smile. The rest of the night was followed with little chatter most of the conversation revolving around me. Specifically my memory. Eventually Kyungsoo and Suho left but not before Suho Informed Jongdae to bring me to their next meeting....
“Winry.” I snap out of my thoughts and look up at Jongdae. We were both sitting in the living room. I attempted to read a book but I wasn’t having much luck. “Yeah sorry this is just a really good book.” Jongdae gives me a sad smile. “I would believe you if you hadn’t been reading the same page for the last half hour.” I take a deep breathe before looking down at the page. “Hey tell me what’s going on.” Jongdae gently takes the book from my hands before kneeling in front of me. “What’s gonna happen to us?” Jongdae rubs circles into my thighs. “Nothing’s gonna happen to you I promise. I’ve got you.” I just shake my head as I grab his hands. “No Jongdae. What’s going to happen to us. I don’t want to leave you.” Jongdae gives me a confused look. “Acacia..I’m no good for you. You..you can’t stay with me.” I just continue to shake my head as I tighten my grip on his hands. “Look tomorrow at the meeting Suho will probably decide to let you go ok? Andrew needs you not me..”
“No. I won’t. I won’t go if I don’t have you.” I sounded like kid. Technically I still was I hadn’t even graduated yet. “Acacia I don’t understand what this is?” Jongdae shakes his head as he brings his hand to trace my cheek. “What do you want this to be?” I ask him quietly as I peer into his eyes pleading him. Jongdae doesn’t say anything just leans in closer. “You should stop me.”
“I know”
“But you aren’t going to are you puppy.”
“I couldn’t even if I tried.”
And with that Jongdae lets his lips meet mine. I close my eyes and let myself melt into the kiss. Within minutes the kiss begins to heat up as Jongdae tangles a hand in my hair. I grab on to the front of his shirt as I try to pull him even closer. After a few minutes he pulls away both of our hearts beating like stallions.
“This means you’re mine now alright puppy? No one is allowed to have you. No one is going to hurt you. You’re all mine.” I just continue to breathe heavy as Jongdae trails kisses down my neck and across my jaw. “Fuck what anyone says. I’m keeping you.” I moan as Jongdae continues to place kisses on my neck. God he could have me...

PART THREE
Winry is an independent woman who recently got a job working for Mr.
Winry’s POV
I clutch onto a glass of water as I wait for Junmyeon to finish talking to his father. He spoke in a hushed tone just outside the kitchen making me even more nervous. “This isn’t up for discussion. I need her to be with me today and that’s final.” I cringe as Junmyeon raises his voice anger evident in his tone. I continue to fidget with my glass and wait for Junmyeon to come into the kitchen. I look up once I hear his footsteps and catch him running a hand through his hair a look of worry on his face before he looks up at me replacing it with a smile. “Ready?”
“Is everything alright?”
Junmyeon looks at me slightly surprised I would ask before coming to stand beside me. “It’s nothing for you to worry about. Now let’s get going we have a busy day ahead of us.” I nod and allow him to help me into my jacket before placing a hand onto my back and leading me down towards the busy streets of Seoul.
“My friend Kris is picking us up.” I nod as we walk out of my apartment complex. I expect a plain black town car to pick us up but I’m surprised to see one of the Kim’s newly designed cars sitting in front of us. I’m a little intimidated when I see a fairly tall man smoking a cigarette leaning up against the car. He dressed nothing like Junmyeon who usually wore a suit instead the man in front of us wore ripped jeans and a graphic tee and looked like he just woke up. “Damn Suho I thought maybe you’d gone for another round or something.” I blush at the mans implications as Junmyeon grabs the younger man by his collar. “You won’t speak like that in front of her.” Kris raises his eyebrow before chuckling as Junmyeon releases him. “I see.” Junmyeon opens the back door and allows me to get in before slipping in behind me. “Suho?” Junmyeon leans over and buckles my seat belt. “I’ll explain later.” I shiver at his firm tone but nod nonetheless.
I look to the front of the car to see there was another guy sitting in the passenger seat. “Hi baby the names Kai.” He looked so young in all honesty. “Kai I wouldn’t start that if I were you. Now buckle up and face forward.” Kris tells the younger man who promptly does as he’s told. I remain silent as the three men talk amongst themselves mostly about new designs that would be looked over today. Nothing really peaked my attention not when all I could think about was Mr.Kim.
Soon we arrived at the office and my heart raced. Ideally I wouldn’t have to see Mr.Kim seeing as the design lab was located on the underground floors of the building but that still didn’t set my mind at ease. We all walk through the doors Junmyeon and I first and Kris and Kai following as they chat about something the older man hitting the younger kid upside the head. I giggle at the sight as Junmyeon places his hand on the small of my back giving me a smile. “Ah Winry.”
I freeze when I hear his voice. I look over to see Mr.Kim,Kyungsoo not far behind him. “Good morning Mr.Kim how are you?” I now deeply as I look at his feet. “Oh I’m alright but I would be a lot better if I knew I’d have my best secretary with me today.” I give him a shaky smile before looking away. I should’ve known this wasn’t going to work. “If you are in need of my assistance I will be more than happy to-“
“Father I already told you this morning I would need Winry all day. Was I not clear?” The venom in Junmyeon’s voice was clear enough for his father to understand I wouldn’t be going with him back upstairs. “I see. We’ll discuss this later. Let me know if he works you too hard Winry.” His smile was sickening as he took his leave towards the elevators. “I’ll be downstairs shortly.” Junmyeon nods at Kyungsoo and moves to take my hand. I finally look up from the ground. That’s when I realized that Kris and Kai had stepped beside me Junmyeon in front. We all silently make our way to the elevators and get onto the specific one that would take us to the design lab.
Standing in the elevator Kris and Kai go back to talking like normal as I just stare straight forward at the elevator door. “You don’t need to worry. I told you. You’re under my protection now. He can’t touch you.” Junmyeon takes his free hand to tip my face towards his. “Ok.” I whisper as I close my eyes willing my body to stop shaking.
I manage to calm my nerves when we reach the bottom floor. The doors open and I walk behind the three men as they rush out to join an already big group.
“Took you sons of bitches long enough.” An extremely tall guy with a goofy smile booms as he brings Junmyeon into a hug. “Big pops was throwing a fit.” Kris mumbles before taking a seat beside a shorter guy. He had sharp eyes and seemed to be annoyed at the moment. There were 9 of them in total. I awkwardly stand at the back as I find a place to set my lap top up. “You Can use my desk Winry dearest.” I smile when I turn and see Baekhyun coming out of the garage rubbing some grease off of his hands. “Why thank you Baekhyun honey.” That was our thing. I didn’t talk to very many people in this building but ever since the first test run day Baekhyun has been one if not my only best friend. “Who’s that and why are you calling her dearest?” I turn around to see a new man enter the room. If we were late than he was really late. “Well Luhan I’ll have you know that this beautiful young lady here is Winry. And as sad as it is someone else has an eye on her but I can’t help but to try. Nonetheless I have my eyes on someone else too.”
“How tragic.” The man with sharp eyes beside Kris snorts as he takes a drink of what looked to be Bourbon. Well it’s bound to be 5 o clock somewhere. “Junmyeon what would you like me to take notes on?” Junmyeon looks at me smiling as he shakes his head. I look at him confused as he comes to stand in front of me. “Well Winry I thought you could use a day off hmm?” Slowly I feel my smile grow as I nod my head. “Good. Everyone this is Winry. Play nice.”
“Oh that’s gonna be hard Junmyeon.” I shift my attention to kai as he looks at me and bites his lip. “You know Kai of course. He’s an unsavory flirt.” Junmyeon gives kai a glare which the boy just returns with a wink. “And of course you know Baekhyun and the man over there dying of lung cancer is Kris.” Kris just flashes me a smile before taking a puff from his cigarette. “The Giant over there you might recognize from some meetings.Chanyeol. He helps run our sister company along with his own father.” Now that Junmyeon pointed it out he did look familiar. “Nice to formally meet you Winry.” I smile and nod. I do remember him. His secretary Margrie lended me a pen. She seemed to really care for him. If I didn’t know better I’d say they were a thing...
“The one that looks like he’s gonna kill everyone is Xiumin. Do ignore him. Despite what I say he never plays nice. And he’s drunk out of his mind half the time.”Xiumin just tips his glass at me before taking a sip. “Next to him is Chen. He’s very quiet but a sweetheart nonetheless.” I smile as the man waves at me. He had the softest eyes. I scan my eyes over the remaining men and count three. “That one on the computer is Sehun. He’s the youngest and tends to pay little to no attention to his surroundings. Tends to get him into a bit of trouble. But he’s still a genius god forbid.” Sehun doesn’t even look up from his computer. Or computers should I say. He had a whole system surrounding him.
“The one practically passed out on the couch is Lay. He’s probably the biggest softy out of all of us. A doctor too so makes sense.”
“Really a doctor?” I raise my eyebrow at the good looking man in front of me. His black hair was disheveled and he wore a black turtle neck and tight fighting suit pants. “Intriguing isn’t it?” He flashes me a smile before looking away shyly. “I’m Luhan. And I’m afraid that’s it. Nothing too interesting to be known about me.” Somehow I didn’t believe that was true but having just met the guy I didn’t push.
“That should be almost everyone we’re missing two people but they’ll be here later.” I nod as I think. So kyungsoo was one of them that was obvious. But who was the last person? Slowly everyone had begun trickling into their own little conversations after the introductions as I continue to stand next to Junmyeon. “Now that you’ve met everyone do you think you can relax and let go of your bag?” I look down and see that Junmyeon was right. I had an airtight grip on my bag, so intense it almost hurt. I watch as he uncurls my fingers and take my bag from me and pushes me towards the boys.
“Despite my appearance I don’t bite.” I Yelp when Xiumin grabs me by my wrist and pulls me on to the couch between him and Chen. “So Winry, where are you from?” I look up to see that Junmyeon just gives me a smile before pulling a chair up to the group of boys sitting on it backwards before resting his chin on his hands. I smile at him from and turn to Lay who had asked the question. “Uh Seattle Born and Raised actually.” I smile to myself when I think back to the rainy days. “Parents?”
“Ah no actually I was left on the steps of a church when I was very little so I was placed in Foster care. I never was adopted so I was a floater I guess you could say. I’m used to moving around.” I play with my fingers out of habit. It wasn’t the most comfortable topic. Some of the homes were rough but I always managed. It was just the not being wanted that got to me as cliche as that sounds. “Well I hope you’ll stay grounded here with us.” I smile at Kai and nod my head. “Yeah I hope so too.”
Junmyeon’s POV
It was almost eight and everyone had a little to drink as we munched on take out. This was originally supposed to be a meeting about what to do about our next move towards eliminating my father but I thought Winry could use a break. She was always so tense.
At the moment she was the exact opposite as she laughs at Kai as Kris hits him upside the head for saying something stupid no doubt. God she was beautiful. Specially when she was relaxed and happy. Gorgeous. Kyungsoo had come as soon as my father went home bringing us food as well. He had taken Winry’s spot at some point and I found myself draping an arm around her as she sat next to me on the couch.
“Oh look what the cat dragged in.” I look over to see Tao walk in from the elevator. He looked tired as usual. “Who’s this Junmyeon?” Winry looks up at me with innocent eyes and smiles eager to meet the stranger. As I’m about to tell her I remember the events of last night. She had been there the night my father made Mei “disappear”.  “Oh that’s Tao sneaky bastard.” Kai throws the statement to Winry before downing another shot. Shit.
I immediately feel Winry freeze up beside me. “Wait...Tao?” Before I can stop Winry she bolts up from the couch and quite literally backs herself into a corner as she walks backwards away from Tao and the other boys...and me. “Winry-“
“Do I know you?” Tao walks forward giving Winry a cautious look. He was sizing her up. This wasn’t good. “I don’t know. Do you know Li Mei?” Tao immediately recognizes the name and goes to grab his gun out of his harness that was hidden by his jacket. Before I can stop him he’s pointing it straight at Winry.
“Tao. Lower your gun.” Tao keeps his gun raised at Winry not budging. “Tao I’m giving you an order. Lower your gun or I will shoot you.” I go and step in front of Winry blocking her from the weapon as Tao looks at me with wide eyes. “Hey man do it. Winry isn’t here to hurt anyone.” Luhan gets up from his seat and holds his hands out to Tao attempting to calm the man down. I disregard the situation when I see Tao lower his weapon finally. “Winry are you-“
“Take me home.”
I just look at her. There were tears streaming down her face and her arms were pulled tight across her chest as she tried to comfort herself. “Now please.” Her voice cracks this time. “Of course. Baekhyun I’m taking a car.” He just nods at me as I go to his office to grab a pair of keys. When I get back Baek is comforting Winry but she just continues to hug herself and look at the floor. I turn to Tao to see he’d finally put his gun away and instead held an apologetic look on his face but it didn’t settle the rage bubbling up inside me. “Next time I’ll just shoot you.” I glare at him before turning back to Winry. I lightly place my hand on her back before leading her towards the car. “I won’t be back tonight.” I tell Baek before he goes back to join the others.
The ride back to Winry’s house was quiet expect for a few sniffles here and there. As soon as we got into her apartment. Winry turns towards me fresh tears in her eyes.
“Please Junmyeon. Please tell me what’s going on. Why is Tao a friend of your and why do you guys have guns? None of this..none of this makes sense. Please I’m scared.” I close my eyes before lifting my hand to wipe away some of her tears. “Ok I’ll explain dove. I’ll explain.”

PART THREE
Acacia is a girl in highschool only trying to readjust herself to her new surroundings, while keeping her brother out of trouble. Everything has been a boring routine till she ends up on the wrong side of town at the wrong time, this is where she first meets Chen, although the circumstances aren’t the best.
Jongdae’s POV
It’s been a week since Acacia’s been in my apartment and she avoided me as much as she physically could. I don’t blame her. I attempted to take her back home but Chanyeol stopped me. He was currently here with Sehun, Kris and Jongin. I glared at the later as he shifted uncomfortably in his seat. “So why can’t I take her home?” I ask Chanyeol not shifting my gaze from Jongin. “Because Jongin was somewhat correct. Acacia is connected with the Tarins but not how we originally believe.” I move my gaze to Sehun this time who gulps as he glances up from his laptop. “Get to the point.”
“Minho is her mom’s boyfriend. He moved the girlfriend and the family here not too long ago. Acacia and her brother Andrew attend school here and Minho got their mother a job as an interior designer.” I look at Sehun before turning back to Jongin. “Look man I’m sorry I know how much you hate doing that stuff-“
“Just drop it.” Jongin gulps before nodding. I would get over it. Eventually. The kid was family after all but he needed to learn not to act on his impulses. “So basically if we take her back home and she goes running and crying to step daddy then-“
“I won’t.” Kris stops talking once Acacia comes to stand in the kitchen. She looked like she had been crying. “Isn’t that what you’re supposed to say?” Kris slips a cigarette into his mouth as he eyes the girl. Acacia fidgets with the bottom of one of my shirts. She looked so tiny in my clothes but it’s all I had and her bandages would be better off in looser clothes. I had to wrap her arms up to. She looked like she has been crying. “I just want to go home.” I cringe at how hoarse her voice was. “Minho’s men are looking for her but...” I look down at Sehun. He really needs to learn how to pay attention.
“But what?” Sehun looks up at Acacia before looking at me for permission. “Go on.”
“He’s telling them it doesn’t matter if they find her alive or dead.”
Acacia slumps against the kitchen wall as the shock sets in. “Alright I got you.” I move to support her as I lead her to sit at the kitchen table. “Where am I supposed to go?” I give a The others a look and they know it’s time to leave. As Sehun packs his things up Kris is already pushing Jongin out the door. He looks like he wants to say something to Acacia but I just shake my head. She definitely wouldn’t want to hear anything from him right now. “We’ll be back later ok? I’ll just tell Junmyeon you’re sick.” I nod at Chanyeol as he makes his way out of the apartment shutting the door once Sehun slips out.
I sigh and turn to Acacia. She looked so hollow. Like every emotion has been ripped from her and all that was left was pain. Hollow cold pain. She couldn’t even cry. She just couldn’t. There weren’t any tears left and it got to me. God it got to me. This is all my fucking fault. She couldn’t end up like me. Hollow.
“You need to eat.” I state as I enter the kitchen and start setting things out to cook. “I’m not hungry.” I ignore her as I turn the stove on and start chopping up vegetables and meat. “You need to eat to get  better.” I just counter as I add ingredients to the pan. “What’s the point. I’ve got nowhere to go. Nothing to live for. I’m half dead anyway. Why not just let me go completely.” I grab the kitchen knife I was using and turn to Acacia. I keep my face straight as I pull her up from her seat and place the knife into her hand.
Acacia stares at my wide-eyed as I hold her hand with the knife right in front of my stomach. “If that’s true then stab me. Stab me right here” I firmly press the knife into my stomach ignoring the pain of the blade already cutting into my skin. “If you stab me right here I’ll die in minutes. I’ll bleed out before I find the strength to fight back. You can kill me for doing this to you. Hmm?” Acacia just looks at me with tears in her eyes as she just lets me guide the knife in her hand. “Do it. Kill me.”
Acacia’s POV
My hand shakes as I look up at Jongdae. His face was calm and collected as he looked down at me. He was right if I stabbed him here I would pierce his major artery and he’d bleed out just like that. I will myself to do it. To stab him and run but my body wouldn’t move and the blood already seeping through his shirt made me nauseous. I can’t do it.
“No.” I whisper as I look into his chest.  “Why not? I hurt you. Badly. Why not do the same to me?” I just shake my head as I try to pull the knife away from his stomach. “I can’t I can’t.” I shake my head furiously as tears sting my already tender eyes. “That’s what I thought.” Jongdae loosens his grip on my hand and carefully takes the knife from my hand. “You’re still you. I can’t take that from you. No one can. Therefore you have everything to live for. Understood?” I just nod my head as I continue to look at Jongdae’s chest. “Good. We’ll eat dinner together then yeah?” Jongdae tips my chin up as he wipes away a few of my tears. “No more tears.” He keeps our gaze for a few minutes before going back into the kitchen to continue cooking.
I awkwardly stand in the kitchen as I pull at Jongdae shirt. He was still bleeding. I make my way to his bathroom to find some bandages and disinfectant before silently walking back into the kitchen. Jongdae has just finished putting all of his ingredients into a pot as he shuts the lid. When he turns to face me and sees all the medical supplies in my arms he raises an eyebrow at me.
“Is this your way of telling me you need me to change your bandages?” I almost choke when he says that. “Do you think I’m a puppy?” Jongdae seems to ponder the notion as he tilts his head. “Well I mean you are adorable.” I’m surprised at how blunt he said the phrase as he comes to take the supplies out of my hands. He was so straight forward. I watch as he sits the supplies on the kitchen table pulling a chair out before sitting down. He looks up at me before motioning me forward. “You first.” Jongdae looks at me confused before he looks down to see red staining his white shirt. “Oh I didn’t notice.” He didn’t notice? What the hell.
“Ah what are you doing!” I screech as Jongdae grabs my wrists and pulls me to stand in between his legs. “Cleaning your wounds puppy.” I just pout as He smiles up at me. I reluctantly take my shirt off letting it fall to the ground as I look anywhere but at Jongdae. “Any pain?” I shake my head as I watch him carefully unwrap the old bandages. The cuts were significantly better and I’m surprised at how well Jongdae stitched me up. “This is going to sting a little.” He always reminds me about that part but it never helped. I tense up when the antiseptic comes in contact with my skin. “Shhh you’re doing good almost done.” Jongdae finishes cleaning my stomach before finally wrapping a new bandage around my abdomen. “All done.” His hands linger on my waist as he looks up at me.
He always did that. Look at me. I would always try to keep looking at him but I felt like if I did something would happen. I look away as a blush creeps onto my face. “Alright puppy it’s my turn now. Think you can handle it?” I glare at him as he stand ups and gently pushes me to take his place in the chair. “I’ve read the “Emergency workers guide to success” when I was twelve. If the book was in any way correct I should be fine.” Jongdae chuckles as he looks down at me. “You mean to tell me you still remember?” I smile up at him as I get my supplies ready. “Of course. I have an eidetic memory. I quite literally can’t forget.” Jongdae catches my chin as he brings my vision away from the supplies. “Interesting.” I again blush at his intense gaze before I clear my throat and look down at the ground. “Ok shirt off.”
Jongdae does as I say tossing his shirt beside my previously discarded one. I put some antiseptic on a Cotten ball before turning to his wounds only to be surprised that his whole abdomen was littered with scars. I look up at his face only to see he wasn’t paying attention. Instead his jaw was tensed as he stared out the window. He was definitely not comfortable with me seeing this. So I decided against asking any questions. I silently clean his wound and see that it wasn’t that deep and that I wouldn’t need to stitch it up. I find a smaller bandage to tape on the cut as Jongdae continues to look out the window. I allow my fingers to linger on his stomach as I trace some of his old scars. “Jongdae-“
“Please don’t ask.” I shut my mouth when I hear how desperate he sounded. He wasn’t mad just...upset. “Dinner is almost ready. Why don’t you go get us a couple t shirts from my room and I’ll fix your plate.” Jongdae tucks a strand of hair behind my ear as I look up at him. I nod as I get up taking the supplies with me as I go and get a few shirts from his room. I slip on one of his many large sweaters and grab him a t shirt before making my way to the kitchen again. There was already two bowls of stew sitting on the table Jongdae sitting in one of the chair. “Thank you puppy.” I just shake my head at my new nickname as I sit in the chair across from Jongdae. “So What else do I not know about you Acacia?” I smile as I take a bite of the food in front of me. And so the interrogation begins.....

PART TWO
Winry is an independent woman who recently got a job working for Mr.
Winry’s POV
It’s been about a month since I’ve begun working under the Kims. Most of the work was easy and I got into a schedule. Monday we had meetings and Friday’s we had test drives. In between all I was tasked with was building schedules and delivering patents to their respective places. I would occasionally find myself typing up speeches and letters for both Mr.Kim and Junmyeon. Other than that I had a lot of time to myself.
It was almost the end of the day and I found myself with absolutely nothing to do. A lot of Mr.Kim’s Employees have already left. The only people left in the building besides myself was Junmyeon , Mr.Kim and Kyungsoo who I’ve come to learn was The Kims’ personal bodyguard. It suited him to say the least. All he did was watch and I’ll be the first to admit it’s creepy. Like now for instance. Ever since Junmyeon followed his father into his office Kyungsoo has been staring right at me.
I clear my throat as I shift in my seat and look at the time on my computer. 7pm time to go. I quickly shut my computer down and pack up my bag before heading towards the elevators. “Goodnight Kyungsoo.” All he does is give me a small smile and nod in my direction before I disappear around the corner. The elevator come fairly quickly and I step in and push the button for the bottom floor. I lean against the wall and close my eyes. Despite working here for so long I still think about that poor women everyday causing me to still tense up around Mr.Kim. My guard was up constantly and to say it was exhausting was an understatement.
My short period of rest was disrupted when someone stops the elevator doors before they close. I let out a loud gasp as I immediately open my eyes only to come face to face with Junmyeon. “Sorry Winry I didn’t mean to scare you.” He gives me a shy smile before joining me in the elevator. I expected Kyungsoo and Mr.Kim to be behind him but he was by himself. Junmyeon has never raised any red flags so I just settle back into my previous position as the elevator makes it way down to the first floor.
“Long day?” I just make a sound that remotely resembles yes before opening my eyes to look at a grinning Junmyeon. This was a rare occurrence. Junmyeon usually carried a very stoic look on his face and his presence was powerful to say the least. I definitely wouldn’t want to get on his bad side. We’ve been in the elevator together a few times and every time Junmyeon has a way to find out a little something about me. He could probably fill a whole file folder on me if he wanted to. Where I’m from, my favorite color, my first pet. Harmless questions. Until today.
“Tell me Winry why are you scared of my father?” I look at Junmyeon my guard completely up again. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I say as I look down at the ground. “Oh I think you do. I can see it everyday. In your behavior....your eyes.” Junmyeon tilts my chin up as he looks down at me. Just then the elevator dings and the doors slide open allowing me to make a run for it. “Goodnight Mr.Kim.” I quickly walk out of the elevator and towards the large glass doors.
Junmyeon’s POV
I sigh as Winry dashes out of the building. I wasn’t going to chase her. I just hoped that after all this time she’d be comfortable enough to talk to me. “Goodnight Mr.Kim.” I feel like we’ve taken a step backwards. I just wanted to know if he’s already gotten to her. I turned to head back upstairs only to see Winry had dropped her bag. I pick it up before dialing up Kyungsoo’s number.
“Junmyeon?”
“I need you to send me Winry’s address.”
“Why?”
“Just do it.”
I park in front of Winry’s apartment complex to see that my father had her housed not from us. I think of some not so pleasant reasons why as I head up to her floor but shake them away once the elevator stops. I make my way and pause at her door. Should I really be doing this? Before I change my mind I knock on her door and wait for an answer. “Can I help-Junmyeon?”
Her hair was slightly wet and she had on a big t shirt that went down to her knees. I look back up at her eyes and I feel something different towards her. No Junmyeon you can’t. “Ah you left your bag.” I show her the bag and her eyes seem to widen. “Oh I you didn’t have to bring it I could’ve got it tomorrow-“
“It was no problem Winry really.” Winry looks up at me cautiously before stepping aside. “Come in.” I give her a small smile before I step into her apartment. She was virtually unpacked. I set her bag on her kitchen counter as she enters the room. She grabs a cup and fills it with water before sitting it in front of me backing up until her back was against her sink, away from me. I cock my head at her before I come around the counter. This causes her to tense up confirming my suspicions. “Why are you scared of me Winry?”
Her eyes get wide before she just looks back down at the ground not saying a word. “Is it because of my father?” I watch as she hesitates before looking up at me. “Yes.”
“I can assure you I’m nothing like him.”
“You’re his son-“
“Blood means nothing to me. As far as I’m concerned he’s not my father at all.” This seems to surprise the girl in front of me but she finally uncrosses her arms. “Now on your first day you were tense around my father. Terrified. Why?” Just the mention of him and she was shaking. I soften my voice and close the gap between us as I place my hands on her shoulders, rubbing soothing circles into her skin as I look down at her. “I’ll protect you. I promise.”
“The night before I had gone in to set up my desk and I saw him with that women. Mei....All of her stuff was still set up at my desk the next day. She never came back for any of it... So I searched for her until I found the missing persons report her family filed...I don’t want to end up like her.. I don’t want to disappear.”
My heart breaks when her whole demeanor shatters. She was crying now as she tried to furiously wipe the tears away. It was all clear now. Why her apartment was still unpacked. She was thinking about leaving. I completely pull her into my arms now, placing my chin on her head. “Shhhh. I won’t let that happen. You’re under my protection now. Nothing can hurt you.” I just let her sob into my shirt as she clings onto me. At first I just didn’t want him to have her. To get what he wanted. Now it was more than that. I know her now. Her little quirks and her favorite movies. All those talks in the elevator. Junmyeon you really are stupid.
I continue to rub Winry’s back as she finally calms down. “You should go to bed. I’ll stay here tonight. Nothing's going to happen.” Winry nods as she pulls away wiping her remaining tears. “I’ll call my father in the morning and tell him I’ll need you to take notes while I’m in the design lab tomorrow. You won’t have to see him.”
“Junmyeon you don’t have to do all of this. I could just..” I knew what she was going to say as she looks around at the boxes that covered her apartment. “Call me selfish but I’d much rather you stay here with me.” I smirk when I see her try and hide her smile. “I can set up the guest room for you.” I offer her a small thank you as she heads off into what I assume was the guest room. Tomorrow I was having a meeting with all of the boys. Over the past month they’ve all gotten into trouble one way or another. I quite recently discovered Jongdae’s secret on accident might I add. It was quite comically in all honesty. But with each of us growing closer to other people the more urgent the need to cut ties with my father grew.
“All done.” I look up to see Winry standing in front of me. “Thank you.” I expect her to go to bed but I’m surprised when she wraps her arms around me burying her face into my neck. “Thank you Junmyeon.” I sigh as I wrap my arms around her again and deciding to pull her into my lap. “There’s not need to thank me.” We both just sit there for a few minutes before I feel her body relax against mine. I let out a small chuckle when I realize she fell asleep. “Alright love let’s get you to bed.”
I carry her into her room which was right across from the guest room and lay her on her bed. I tuck her in,?my hand pushing a piece of hair out of her face. I lean closer to her but I close my eyes and stop myself before I get too close. Don’t do it Junmyeon. I sigh before placing a kiss on her forehead. I quietly slip out of Winry’s room and into the guest room before closing the door.
I lean against it before I feel my phone buzz in my pocket. Kyungsoo: Your father told me to find any information I could on Winry. Personal information. He’ll make a move on her soon.
I clench my jaw before tossing my phone on the bed. I take my suit jacket off and toss it on the bed too. I pull my gun out from my waist band thankful that Winry didn’t notice it. I was probably overreacting but I didn’t want to take any chances. The guest room faced the front of the building so I grab a chair from the corner of the room and place it in front of the window and take a seat my gun placed on my thigh....

PART TWO
Acacia is a girl in highschool only trying to readjust herself to her new surroundings, while keeping her brother out of trouble. Everything has been a boring routine till she ends up on the wrong side of town at the wrong time, this is where she first meets Chen, although the circumstances aren’t the best.
Jongdae’s POV
I was just minding my own damn business. But of course a little peace and quiet was too much to ask for. Just a little break was all I was asking for. Just a day without any blood and gore and lies and truths.
My wish was torn to pieces when Chanyeol,Kris and Jongin storm into my room carrying an unconscious girl.
“No no no. Out. Now.”
I get up from my couch and try to force them out only to have Chanyeol close the door and stand in front of it giving me an apologetic glance before looking away. “Look we know today was supposed to be your day off but Jongin messed up and Junmyeon left me in charge of him. Meaning I have to clean up his messes.”
“Hey I’m not a little kid....”
Jongin shuts up as soon as Kris glares at him. “That’s great and all but you just said it yourself. YOU have to clean up his messes. Not me. Now leave.” I turn back to the book I was reading only to have Kris snatch it out of my hand and throw it on the coffee table.
“Great there goes my page.”
“The Tarins recognized her Jongdae.”
My blood boils  at the mention of those cowards. Family killers. I hate them with everything I am. And if she’s associated with them. I hate her too.
“Strap her on my table. I’ll have her taking in 5 minutes tops.”
Kris smiles before motioning Jongin to pick the girl up from my couch.
“Please sir. I just want to go home.”
My eyes get wide as I turn to look at the girl. Really look at her this time. She was beautiful in all honesty. From what I could tell through her tears and her now puffy and bruising cheek she was like something I’ve never seen. But the idea of her working for the Tarins erased any attraction I had towards her.
“Sorry sweetheart Jongdae hates the Tarins more than anyone. Which means he’s gonna enjoy what’s about to happen next.” I don’t say anything as I watch the girl drop her head in defeat not bothering to say anything else.
I look at her for a few more moments before going to change into more comfortable clothes. By the time I was done with her. My white shirt would be a nasty shade of red...
Acacia’s POV
I was so cold. After listening in to their conversation upstairs I learned the taller man was Chanyeol and the one who had been sporting a cigarette in his mouth was Kris. And of course Jongin was now the one who with the help of Chanyeol had strapped me onto a metal table. But not before they made me strip to my underwear.
I shake from both the temperature and the fear when I see the countless knives lining the walls of the small damp room. This type of torture was used mostly during war time efforts in foreign countries. The U.S claims to have not participated in such activities but-
My eyes travel around the room and my attempt to distract myself from the horror of what was about to happen stops when I meet Kris’s gaze. I don’t know how long he’d been watching me but once he realizes I’ve noticed he looks away....he look like he hated this. But he was the one that pushed for this so I don’t understand why-
Just then the door opens and bangs against the concrete wall. Jongdae walks in dressed in a white t shirt and jeans. His combat boots echo across the floor as he makes his way closer to me.
“About damn time. I was getting bored.” I cringe at the venom in Jongin’s voice. “Shut up or I’ll make you leave.” My head snaps back to Jongdae to see that he’s setting some knives on a small metal tray. I flinch as he sets a particularly sharp knife down making a faint clang. This causes Jongdae to look up from what he’s doing.
My breath catches in my throat when his eyes meet mine. His hair clouded my view of them but they weren’t cold and sharp like I expected them to be. They were soft. So soft.
“Let’s get started.”
My heart beat picks up as Jongdae reaches for the sharpest knife on the tray and comes to lean over the table. I squeeze my eyes closed when I feel him drag the tip of the knife along my already bruised cheek.
“First question. Little risk. What’s your name.”
I keep my eyes closed as I seriously think about the question. Little risk? He could find Andrew. But with the pressure Jongdae applied to the knife it was obvious he was ready to cut me if he thought I was lying. I’d just have to risk it.
I do nothing but remain silent leading Jongdae to hover the knife right over my abdomen. “Last chance. Medium risk. What is your name.”
Jongdae’s voice was completely calm as the knife presses into my stomach. When I don’t say anything Jongdae pushes the knife into my skin. I scream as he takes his time before finally letting the knife sit in my abdomen as I thrash against my restraints. Tears were pouring down my face now as my stomach burns with pain. Am I dying? No. No if I was dying I would’ve been drifting by now. “Your name.” I gasp as he twists the knife before pulling it out completely, just as slow as before.
“Acacia.”
I  watch Jongdae raises his eyebrow as he leans down so he could hear me. “Acacia Wilson.” Jongdae looks at me before setting the knife down. “Thank you Acacia.” He picks up a smaller looking knife but this one. This one had grooves. The thought of him burying that into my skin and pulling it back out made me sick to my stomach. I begin to thrash around again but Jongdae only shushes me as he puts a hand on my head.
“Next question. Low risk. “Who were you protecting by keeping your name from me.” No. Anything but that. I stare at Jongdae wide eyed as I shake my head. He just scolds me as he makes a few shallow cuts along my arms pulling a few cries  from my lips. “Last chance. High risk. Who are you protecting.” I cry as Jongdae hovers the knife on the other side of my abdomen opposite to his previous gash.
I continue to cry as I think about Andrew. I can’t tell. Andrew was so defenseless he couldn’t even stand up to the school bullies. There’s no telling what these men would do to him. Jongdae lets out a sad sigh before ramming the knife into my stomach. I scream before gasping out in pain. Jongdae lets my breathing calm down until I was taking shallow breathes. “Please. Please don’t pull it out.”
“Give me a reason not to.”
I look up at Jongdae tears clouding my view of his soft eyes. “You have to promise not to hurt him please.” Jongdae raises his eyebrow again. “She’s probably talking about Minho. She has to be.” Minho? Wasn’t that my moms boyfriend? “Shut up Jongin!” I flinch at Jongdae’s sudden rage. “If he’s a Tarin I will kill him and you. So I won’t promise you anything.” I groan as Jongdae twists the knife upwards. “My brother. Please don’t hurt him he’s only 11. He’s so quiet please. We were just walking home please.” Jongdae’s eyes widen with surprise as he looks down at me. He suddenly releases the knife leaving it to sit in my stomach as he turns to the younger man in the room.
“You’re dead.”I shiver at the frigid anger in Jongdae’s voice. “Jongdae no! he probably didn’t see the kid.” I turn my head to see Jongdae pin Jongin to the wall by his throat. “I told Junmyeon the only way I do this is if they’re guilty. Killers. Rapists. Drug dealers. Tarins...not girls walking home god dammit.”
Jongin gasps for air once Jongdae finally lets him fall to the ground. “Get him out of here Kris. Before I do something I regret.” Kris places an unlit cigarette in his mouth before grabbing Jongin by his collar pushing the him out the door. “What about Acacia Dae?” Chanyeol comes to stand beside Jongdae who was still looking at the spot Jongin was previously gasping in. “Delay telling Junmyeon please. And make sure the idiot keeps his mouth shut before I shut it for him.” Chanyeol mumbles a small ok before giving the shorter mans shoulder a squeeze on his way out.
It was just me and Jongdae now. The silence wasn’t threatening but it was exactly comfortable either. I watch as his shoulders slowly stop moving as much as he tries to control his anger. Or so I thought. I was surprised to see tears coming out of Jongdae’s eyes as he comes back to stand over the table again. “I’m so sorry. I believe you Acacia.” I let out a breathe I didn’t know I was holding when he finally says something. “But I have to take the knife out.”
I become frantic and shake my head desperately wanting him to do anything but that. “No please Jongdae no please.” He just shushes me again. This time a lot more sweeter and apologetic. “I’ll make it as painless as I can and then I’ll take your restraints off.” I cry as Jongdae cups my cheek . “I’m right here with you ok?” I shake but I nod my head at the man above me. I was expecting some sort of countdown but Jongdae just quickly rips the knife out of my stomach as I let out an ear piercing scream. “Shh shhh it’s all over now. No more knives ok? I’m gonna get you patched up.” I just whimper as Jongdae drops the knife to the floor and quickly undos the restraints holding me to the table.
“Shh don’t look. Don’t look. I’m going to pick you up and take you upstairs ok?” Jongdae looks at me for approval. His whole demeanor had changed. He was a lot less reserved and his face softened to match his eyes. I nod giving Jongdae permission. He gives me a sad smile before placing an arm under my legs the other across my back. I groan in pain at the movement as soon as Jongdae has me in his arms I burry my head into his neck as I try to silent my groans of pain. “It’s ok to cry. I know it hurts.”
With each step Jongdae takes upstairs I feel myself pulling from reality. I finally black out when I feel Jongdae place me on something soft......

His Dove
Tumblr media
PART ONE
Winry is an independent woman who recently got a job working for Mr. Kim’s designer car company as their secretary. She immediately has a bad encounter, and notices that Mr. Kim is a little too touchy. Winry also notices that Mr. Kim’s son, Junmyeon, isn’t fond of his father's actions. He suddenly becomes invested in protecting her innocence.
Winry’s POV
I re-organize my desk for the tenth time this morning. I wasn’t usually nervous when starting a new job. But when I came to set up my office the woman who had this job before me was still here and the situation was...unnerving.
As I exited the elevator I didn’t expect very many people to be in the office so late. I came into this odd habit of setting up my desk at my new jobs the night before. That way I can get used to my new surroundings without having to worry about my coworkers watching me.
I didn’t know much about Mr.Kim just that he owned a thriving designer car company and was interested in hiring me even when my Korean was not as great as it could be. The only odd thing about this job was that a whole group of people were there during my interview. None of them Mr.Kim. All men. It was odd but I needed the money. Badly. And Mr.Kim was willing to pay double what my last job paid me.
As I round the corner to my desk I stop dead in my tracks when I hear the sound of someone else in the building. I quickly hide behind the wall before peaking my head out to see what was happening.
In front of what was to be my new desk a small petite Asian women was weeping as she latched onto a mans suit. “Please please don’t do this.” I cringe as the man just pushes the woman off of him. “Stop begging Mei. I told you what would happen if you kept poking your nose where it didn’t belong.” The woman just continues to sob as the man looks away from her. He was much older than me and her for that matter. He looked familiar and goosebumps run down my arms once I realize the man was Mr.Kim.
“I thought you cared about me!” I flinch at the woman’s desperation as she raises her voice. “Kyungsoo!” I watch as another man comes from another hallway his face completely stoic. “Please escort Mei out of the building...take her to Tao. He’ll straighten her out.” At the mention the name Mei’s eyes grow twice in size as she shakes her head furiously. “Please no no I’ll keep quiet I swear.” I shake as the stoic man drags the women away fear slowly creeping up on me.
“Did you really have to do that father?” I jump slightly when I notice a new voice. He must’ve came in with Kyungsoo because he was sitting in to my soon to be desk chair. “She knew her place and she stepped out of line. She left me no choice.”
The man sitting in the chair just chuckles coldly as he glares at his father. “Let’s just hope we actually keep our next secretary a little longer than this one huh?” My blood runs cold as his sons words...... I numbly walk back to the elevator opting to take the stairs and head home without setting up my desk.... what have I gotten myself into?
I stop going over the events of the previous night when Mr.Kim himself rounds the corner. I quickly stand up from my seat as I come to stand in front of my desk and bow as deeply as I could. “Good morning Mr. Kim.” I say as steadily as I possibly could. “Ahhh you must be Mrs.Winry Novell. It’s so nice to finally meet you.” I stiffen up slightly when Mr.Kim opts to lift my face up by grabbing my chin slightly. I give him a smile nonetheless not wanting to upset him. I look to see Kyungsoo was standing behind him his face as stoic as it was last night and his son. His son is what caught my attention. He looked enraged. Not at me. But at his father. He was only looking at him....if looks could kill.
“I’ve heard very good things about you. And what a beautiful face. What do you think Junmyeon?” His son finally looks from his father to meet my gaze. At first his anger doesn’t leave his face but once his eyes are staring into mine I see his demeanor change drastically. It was almost like he pitied me. No. He was scared for me. “Yes she’s quite pretty.”
The way he said it. Like the fact was too dangerous for my own good. This is crazy Winry pull yourself together you have to do this. I clear my throat before pulling a smile back on my face. “Well gentlemen I’m at your disposal so if you need anything please don’t hesitate to let me know.” I step back and finally get my face away from Mr.Kim’s touch.
“Thank you Winry my son Junmyeon will fill you in on your duties this morning.” I bow again as before Mr.Kim places his hand on my shoulder and leaves it a little too long before heading into his office. I let out a breathe I didn’t know I was holding before turning to Junmyeon who was now alone.
“Yes well your job is simple. Answer the phone and direct any calls to my father or to me if he is unavailable. You won’t be responsible for mundane takes like getting coffee or fetching suits from the cleaner we have other people for that. You’re simply here to make sure my father stays on schedule and that everything runs smoothly in the office. Understood?” I simple nod my head yes and I stare up at the much taller man. “Yes Mr.Kim.”
He seems to cringe at that.
“Please call me Junmyeon. Mr.kim is for my father yes?” I’m taken aback for a moment but I just nod my head and head to take a seat as I expect Junmyeon to head off to his office. But much to my surprise I feel a grip on my wrist before I could get very far. “Whatever my father says to try and get you to stay after hours. Don’t.” I just look up at Junmyeon unable to contain the fear on my face.
His face softens as he looks at me before he straightens up and clears his throat. I watch as he walks to his office without a word or a glance in my direction....
Junmyeons POV
That bastard. The way he looked at that poor girl made me sick. She was my age. Not that it mattered to him. Usually I don’t care about his little projects but she was different. When I looked at her she already knew. My father was nothing but trouble.
She was so innocent looking. I had been head on the selection process but I never stopped to look at her picture for more than a few seconds. I wish I had. She was so pure and naive. It’s going to make getting her that much more fun for the creep.
And when I warned her. She was scared. Terrified. I probably just made it worse. I groan as I sit down at my desk. I’ll just have to keep longer hours at the office. He can’t have her. Not her.
“What was that?” I jump slightly when I hear Kyungsoo’s voice. I look to see the man leaning on one of my bookshelves. “Nothing” I mumble as I turn to the stack of targets on my desk. It was spring and my father was cleaning shop. I was in charge of making sure Tao got his list of targets after I sorted through the ones that were expendable.
“Look I don’t care. I hate the guy just as much as you but what if he heard you? You would’ve just made it worse for the girl.”
“Winry.”
“What?”
“Her name is Winry and the bastards not gonna touch her. He doesn’t get to use her like the others. You understand?”
Kyungsoo looks surprised for a moment before nodding in my direction. “Understood. I’ll keep an eye on her.”
I give Kyungsoo a nod of approval before focusing on the files in front of me. The old man called his assassinations spring cleaning....I think it’s about time I do some spring cleaning of my own…

PART ONE
a/n sorrryyyyyy for the long wait but hope you guys enjoy and we’ll try to post more regularly since its summer. Anywayyy here’s the first part of Jongdae’s au!1~yoyo y kookie
“Acacia Wilson. Acacia Wilson to the front office.”
I groan as I hear the all too familiar sound of the principle calling me down to the office. Ever since my family moved to Korea me and my brother have fallen victim to any type of stereotype there is. We were both quiet. Extremely. Neither of us liked to draw attention to ourselves. That’s why I was mortified when our mother told us we were moving to Korea with her boyfriend.
I pack up the book I was reading and slip my bag onto my shoulder before hurrying down to the long hallway towards the office. As soon as I walk into the office I’m greeted by the only person who treated me and my brother with any sort of kindness in school. Lucky for us his name was Principle Lee.
“Acacia how are you?” I give Principle Lee a small smile mumbling something about being tired but good. “Makes sense you’re still top of the class even with the language barrier. I’m quite impressed Mrs.Wilson. If I didn’t know better I’d say it was magic.” I giggle before following Him into his office. “No Principle Lee it’s just a good memory.” That was an understatement. My  Eidetic memory was a blessing and a curse. Depends on who you ask. I will never forget anything. Meaning I’ll ace any test I’m given and learn any language, Korean for example. But I will never forget my parents fighting or the taunting from my foreign peers. At least Andrew would be able forget.
Which brings me to the boy sitting right in front of me. “Andrew what did they do to you this time?” All he does is hang his head blood from his busted nose leaking on to the front of his shirt. I shake the tears from my eyes as I move to grab some tissues from Principle Lee’s desk. “A group of girls found him in the courtyard. Of course he still won’t tell me who’s doing this. I couldn’t get a hold of either of your parents. I’m sorry but I didn’t know who else to call.” Principle Lee gives me a sad smile. Pity.
“No it’s ok. Is it ok if I just take Andrew home a little early today?” Principle agrees and escorts us out of the school locking the school gates as we walk out onto the busy Seoul street. “Won’t mom be mad we missed school?” I let out a sigh of relief as soon as I hear Andrews small voice. He just started 6th grade but he was still so tiny.
“Hey I’m the big sister here. Leave all the worrying to me little man.” Andrew gives me a small smile before taking my hand as I lead him towards our house. I swing our arms as I look around. Seoul really was beautiful. As much as I hate my mom for moving us here I couldn’t deny that. I look at my phone to see it was now 3 am and an idea pops into my head. “Andrew what do you say we go on an adventure?” Andrew frantically nods his head causing me to let out a giggle.
“Sounds good little man.”
It was currently ten minutes to midnight and I was carrying a sleepy Andrew in my arms. After getting him cleaned up at home and texting my mom to tell her where we were going I took Andrew on a full tour of downtown Seoul. Two months we’ve lived here and Andrew still hadn’t been to a park. My mom was always too busy with her work. Our step dad too. So I’ve adopted being Andrews much needed mother the past few weeks. A week before we moved here I memorized as many maps of Seoul as I could so that came in handy when giving Andrew the full experience.
“Are we almost home?” I smile when I hear Andrews voice obviously trying to fight off sleep. “Almost little bro just close your eyes and oh how time will fly.” Andrew gives me a tired laugh before snuggling into my neck. I think back to the maps and decide to take a detour through a small neighborhood. It was on the tougher side but it was a quicker less noisy way home.
I tense up a little when we pass a dark alley....something wasn’t right. It wasn’t safe. I don’t know how I know but I just know. As if the world wanted to prove me right I hear a gunshot go off further just behind Andrew and I. I quickly turn around and look wide eyed. Under a light I could make out three figures. One on the ground unmoving the other two standing over the third. I could hear my breathing getting considerably louder as I try not to draw attention to myself and Andrew. They were so close and our house was so far.
“Acacia why did we stop?” My heart stops beating when the two men look straight at us. My body was on high alert now as the two men come towards us a flash of metal flashing  as they leave the light of the lamp post. I quickly estimate the time it would take for me and Andrew to make a run towards the house. With both of us running it would take at least 13 minutes and with Andrew half asleep we’d risk him falling behind. But if I could distract them....Andrew could make it in 10.
“Alright little man time to be brave.” I slip Andrew off of my back and speak quickly as with each passing second the two men get closer. “You need to run there’s no time to ask question. You go straight home. Straight home you hear me? Stop for no one-“
“But-“
“Go!”
I cringe as Andrew flinches at my loud voice but he takes off towards the house nonetheless. “I love you!” I yell after him as he rounds the corner back towards downtown Seoul. “Please get home safe.” I whisper as I drop my backpack on the ground and turn around to face the two men.
“Well well well. What do we have here?”
I cringe at the mans icy voice. “Look I don’t want any trouble-“
“You don’t want any trouble? You wouldn’t have been in this part of town if you didn’t want any trouble.” I look around to find any visible exits. If I took the alley to the left I’d find a dead end. If I went the way Andrew did I’d risk leading the pair straight to him.
“Wait doesn’t she look like the bosses daughter?” I could go towards the man...the man. He wasn’t under the street light any more. “Boo.” I let out a loud gasp when the two men in front of me are shot. No no no this can’t be happening. I look down at the two lifeless bodies their faces burning into my brain. Don’t look at him don’t look at him.
I slowly back up closing my eyes trying to forget. Just forget come on. “Hey.” I stumble back when I hear the man's voice. It was sharp and calculated. Nope don’t look at him Acacia.  “Shit Jongin what the hell happened we left you for not even two- who’s that?”
Shit there’s another one. “You know Suho isn’t going to like witnesses.” ...another one. Alright Acacia time to get out of here. Without looking at any of them I take off running past the group. I still needed to protect Andrew.
“Shit grab her.” I run as fast as I can down the same dark alley Andrew and I passed early. All I could hear was the sound of footsteps running after me and the feeling of my lungs burning up from the lack of oxygen. I turn around to see how close they were only to run into something.
“Damn she’s fast.” I groan as I keep my eyes closed. “What should we do with her?”
“Well Jongin how much did she fucking see?”
“Umm all of it.”
“You gotta be fucking kidding me.”
I block out their conversation and keep my eyes closed as I try to visualize an escape. But my brain was confused by two bloody bodies and Andrew running into the dark.
“Is she unconscious?”
“No her eyes are moving.”
“Please just let me go. I haven’t seen any of your faces I’ve kept my eyes closed please. Please.”
All I’m met with is silence before I feel someone sit me up. I whimper when I feel them grab my chin forcefully. “Open your eyes.” I continue to keep them closed. “Please please I kept my eyes closed please-“
“Stop whining and open your eyes!” My eyes open wide to look at the man in front of me. He was young. Not much older than me. His hair was faintly dyed blond and he had a bloody nose. He was probably the guy on the ground. STOP. I quickly close my eyes again.
I try to wipe the analysis away but it was still there. It will always be there. “There now we can’t let you go.” I begin to sob at his words. “Now why did the Tarins recognize you?”
Tarins?? My mind frantically searches for any information on the subject. Where have I heard that before??? Think Acacia. You were reading about Seoul. Think. “Well?”
“I- I don’t know. It sounds familiar but I can’t-“
“She has to be lying they clearly knew her.”
“No no I don’t know them I swear I would remember!”
My sobs only get louder as I pull my knees up to my chest.
“Well clearly you’re lying sweetheart you just told me you couldn’t remember.” I flinch as the man switches to a sweeter tone. He was trying to bait me into telling him something. It was an interrogation tactic created in in the early 90s-Stop Acacia this isn’t the time.
“I have no idea what you are talking about.” Please believe me please.
“Knock her out we’re taking her to Chen.”
No. I open my eyes again but it was no use all I see is who I assumed was Jongin, a wide eyed guy and a guy smoking a cigarette before I see Jongin’s fist come towards my face......

Tumblr media
The Leader
 Successor to the family business.
Mostly keeps to himself but the boys see him as a father figure.
Groomed for the work so he’s skilled in business and murder alike.
Not afraid to get his hands dirty and won’t hesitate to pull the trigger if it meant keeping the ones he loved safe.
Tumblr media
The Bleeding Heart
 New to the mafia world.
He left his old life in China and exchanges it for a shinier more lavish one in Korea.
In his own private practice is where he would first meet Kim Junmyeon who would later recruit him to join his inner circle.
Everyone knows he wasn’t made for the business so Junmyeon offered him something he couldn’t refuse:To help those who would otherwise perish.
Is largely known across several countries as the mafia doctor in the business.
Tends to worry about everyone else even if that meant neglecting his own needs.
Tumblr media
Deadeye
Weapons management.
Born into a poor family with an abusive father along with a drugged up mother.
Led a childhood of petty crime.
Later joined the military only to be dishonorably discharged.
Life wasn’t too kind to Kim Minseok so he intended to treat life the very same way.
Many who have the displeasure of meeting the man all say the same thing:He’s as cold as they come.
One night he just so happened to pick a fight with Suho. Long story short Suho noticed the arsonal in the back of his van and decided that he could come in handy.

The Hacker
Fresh out of college and into the world of elite hacking.
Always had a knack for getting into things he shouldn’t.
It tended to get him into more trouble than his rich parents cared to take care of.
Got caught hacking into one of the Kim’s many illegal online poker games.
Agreed to become the companies designated hacker in order to avoid a less than favorable death.
Tumblr media
The Pretty Boy
Probably one of the more tragic back stories.
In order to provide money for his family to survive  Kai found himself on the street corner on the regular.
Now he serves as the families intelligence agent.
He has a bad habit of never trusting people but he wouldn’t need trust for his work anyway.
Who could deny a face like that after all?
Just a few words and Jongin will have anyone under his spell.
Tumblr media
The Drug Giant
Junmyeon and Chanyeol slowly made their own alliance while their fathers were busy.
Loyal to Junmyeon due to the fact they're like brothers.
Also groomed for business, and murder but deals with the output of the drug supply.
Could've been a well renowned scientist if it weren't for the business.
A giant in both the mafia and race worlds.
His father owns one of the Kim’s sister companies keeping a steady alliance for centuries now.
Junmyeon didn’t even have to ask him for any loyalty seeing as Chanyeol is more than willing to follow his every command.
Suffering from a less than perfect family life; in all that Chanyeol is concerned, Junmyeon is the only family he has.
Tumblr media
The Brains
Has one of the best poker faces you will ever see.
He serves as Mr.Kim’s glorified watchdog.
But he’s not a mindless mutt.
Kyungsoo prides himself on being as clever as he is cunning.
He was raised by his mother who so stupidly fell in love with Junmyeon’s father.
Junmyeon being a few years older took Kyungsoo under his wing.
Even when Mr.Kim killed his mother Junmyeon made sure Kyungsoo was taken care of.
And for that Kyungsoo will be forever grateful.

The Mechanic
Somewhat of a mystery even to those who say they know him.
But that’s just what he would like you to think.
Byun Baekhyun is a skilled car designer and mechanic and serves everyone he sees with a smile.
But even the best of smiles can only hide so much darkness.
Junmyeon stole him from some big name car company.
How?
No one really knows but the pair act like they’ve known each other for years.
Tumblr media
The interrogator
There’s not much information to gather up on this one.
He keeps to himself and never has much to say just a few words here and there and a blank stare.
Very closed off when it comes to conversations, he only ever talks if he needs something from you.
He's more manipulative than he seems at first glance.
How he met Junmyeon is unknown.
He serves the Kim family by interrogating the few who wouldn’t spout information to the flirtatious Kai.
If you’re sent to talk to Jongdae… odds are you won’t live to tell just what he did to get you to talk.
Tumblr media
The assassin
Close to a ghost on paper.
All the public information linked to him points to a normal chinese immigrant working part time as a liaisons for Mr.Kim’s international business.
Really he was with Mr.Kim at all times just in case a certain person needed to be taken out at moments notice.
He takes pride in doing his job to the T.
He leaves no trace of his kills and has never even been put on a witness list for any type of murder.
Tao isn’t too fond of Mr.Kim but Junmyeon somehow convinced him not to murder his father and take off back to his country.
At least not at this time.
Tumblr media
The Lucky Bastard
Wu Yifan was breed to be a leader but for some reason he’s decided that just wasn’t his style.
Many would call him a reckless teenager but Junmyeon prefers to call him a stupidly clever idiot.
For whatever reason Kris can get out of any situation with minimal damages which comes in handy for Mr.Kim’s illegal races held in downtown Seoul.
It’s a miracle the boy has survived this long but if you asked him he’ll tell you he’ll only die if he wants it to happen.
The only member from America which proves to come in handy while doing business.
Arguably one of the only reasons Mr.Kim keeps Kris around and Junmyeon make sure to remind his father whenever the Chinese racer gets into unwanted trouble.
Tumblr media
The Racer
Skilled racer known for his clever wits.
He's hard to beat and if you do you cheated and you better watch out because if there’s one thing Luhan hates its cheaters.
Ironic considering the business he’s apart of but it’s his biggest pet peeve.
Junmyeon recruited him seeing as he’s the only one to beat him in a race to date.
You rarely see the two communicating, it seems they don't even need to, Junmyeon could give him a look and he'd already know.
Skilled in combat due to a military background, but that's all anyone knows, no one knows what branch or what exactly he was trained to do.
Rumors are all the talk.
No family as far as anyone knows, technically an ex member but he's still connected at the same time.
There’s just something keeping him there.
