really underrated phenomenon is when some artist gets incredibly attached to like one character from a thing and you see them go from “here’s my fanart of this character! let me know what you guys think!” to creating like fucked up surrealist shit that doesn’t even have to do with ANYTHING the canon is from anymore. back in the day of tf2 fandom (before Blood in the Water) everyone had their own lil name for sniper. I remember Lawrence being really popular (there were so many I couldn’t possibly recall them all) and I’m just curious if people still have those little pet names for the tf2 characters despite the canon names

I still get comments about the spy and scout father son art I did (😭) and while I’m slow on working on the fic (sorry!) I was thinking tonight about how devastated spy must have been when he realized scout was hired. I imagine that he had nightmares about seeing scout on that battlefield and begged to do anything to get him off of it
