Haven’t had a such clearly defined manic episode for a while and it feels so goooood. Like at least I have enough awareness to understand whats happening and check myself and communicate so i can stay safe but like i feel everything soooo much, and right now those are good things and i just feel overwhelmed with so much happiness and gratitude and beauty and excitement. Ugh this is the sort of bipolar high that makes people want to go off their meds. I’m NOT going to do that but i think that being able to call it out is a good step. It makes me sad to think that there are people thinking, “maybe you’re just happy?”, trust me it would be awesome to be like this all the time but thats not how this works. Nervous the crash is going to be bad. Sleeping very little. But just keep taking care and meds and youll be good!

Quote
Someone asked me what home was and all I could think of were the stars on the tip of your tongue, the flowers sprouting from your mouth, the roots entwined in the gaps between your fingers, the ocean echoing inside of your ribcage.

I know you are not responsible for my sadness, that you owe me no accountability for choosing what was right for you. I realize that I've been sick, that I've demanded too much of you, that I expected you to be there and gave you little in return. I accept that perhaps I was toxic, a constant reminder of your past and your demons, and the darkness that it seems that you grew out of through the years. Maybe you were right, that our relationship was never and could never be healthy. I blame myself for not being good enough for you, for not being what you wanted, for being the girl you'd fuck and then leave when it was time to settle down. I blame myself for trusting you, for loving you, for allowing your self-interest to wind itself around my insides, telling myself that it was in my best interest too. Of all the men that have used and abused my body these few years, rape after rape, abandonment after abandonment, the touch that still haunts me is yours. "Sometimes bad things happen," you say to me across oceans, watching me writhe with polite consideration. I hope you don't raise your son to be like you. I hope she is everything I couldn't be. Filled with light where I have darkness, joy where I have sorrow, life where I have grey death. I hope she raises him to be honest and brave and respectful and authentic. I hope she raises him to love without boundaries, without self interest, without selfish desire. I hope that when he comes of age, and he finds that someone loves him, that he would not use their body and mind and soul while it was opportune, and then throw them away when they got old. I hope she raises him to be honest and say no.
