We've noticed a lot of people asking where to find the link to join the discord. While we cannot safely justify having a floating link, the mod team has agreed that we can open entry to the general public. The discord is no longer limited to a know-someone basis. (Because this bothered me at the first day of YSA today. (woohoo?))

God's love IS unconditional. WE make the conditions.

I like the metaphor used in general conference that gods love (or blessings) is not a vending machine. Put the good deeds in, get the love (or blessings as he said) out. It's like an umbrella we hold above us, and God is constantly raining down his love and blessings on us.

We are what stands in the way, we are what blocks the fullness of his blessings. Of course, there are more levels and intricacies to this like, but the love is always there, even if we can't see it because of the umbrella over our heads.

(I'm not saying that you have to be perfect or follow the church's teachings exactly to feel his love, but his love isn't based on the conditions of our religious righteousness. Hope that makes sense?)

Many of us are watching General Conference this weekend, either by choice or not. No matter what they say or what happens, our Heavenly Parents love us.

"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." -Psalms 139:14

We are all fearfully and wonderfully made, and a marvel to Them. We deserve to feel Their infinite love for us, and that is the true message of the gospel.

Hello queerstake!

Due to Holland's talk, the mods wanted to spread a message of comfort.

What he said was wrong. Queer people are not at odds with the gospel and being ourselves is not a sin.

We love each and every one of you.

Our queerness does not detract from our value. It does not detract from what we can give.

God loves every single one of you no matter what leaders, or anyone, says. We have a place in this world and a place in this gospel.

We recomend staying away from non queer lds spaces for the time being. The queerward discord is always open to those who need it. Feel free to message @im-mormon-and-not-straight for a link.
