This is why I have come to rely on brackets for writing, it made a HUGE difference in my output!

Instead of stopping to look up or figure something out, if I can't find the word/phrase after a bit of thinking or if it would require me to swap to a browser to research I put [romantic word for look] or [says something funny] or [double check last name/spelling] or [use name generator] or whatever and keep going.

Then when I go back to edit I can do all the fact checks/name generators/thesaurus search in one go (and often I'm tired and not up to actually writing but can do basic searches).

Suddenly I was getting a lot more words written per hour while also not getting distracted by non-writing stuff. Highly recommend!

Nothing kills your writing progress like, "I need to look that up".

The further I get into rebels, the more I realize that Hera Syndulla is only the voice of reason among the Ghost crew by default.

Like, this woman is not normal. She could have anybody in the galaxy and she went for a wanted criminal with superpowers. She ran away from her family's palatial mansion to go live in a camper with said criminal boyfriend. Her job experience includes "getaway driver" and that's it. Some punk tried to steal from her and she immediately went "where are the adoption papers, I'm ready to sign". The only reason Hera seems normal is because her family consists of a kleptomaniac, a pyromaniac, a man who spent the first fifteen years of his life in a monastery and the next fifteen years of his life getting drunk, a mass murderer trapped in the body of a trash bin, and a guy who probably lists aggravated assault as a hobby on his Grindr profile.

Hera is the most reasonable member of the Ghost crew. Which is kind of like being the tallest Ewok.

My Kanan/Hera Regency novel AU is finally complete!!! This fic was about 4 months of writing and editing all together and ended up just shy of 40k words.

In the epilogue, our family gets their happily ever after they well deserve, plus a bit of smut because that's what we deserve!

Me researching for my Regency AU what sort of pencils Sabine could sketch with in 1808 meanwhile having Kallus and Zeb be a happy couple calling him beloved and sharing a bedroom no one blinks twice at (well, not over them being men at least). I feel very seen.
