I think Yelena thinks the American food system is heinous and thinks that the standard American diet is basically poison. She will eat a dorito but she will absolutely tell you that doritos aren't food while she is eating them. She is one of those "Shop the perimeter of the grocery store" girlies lol.

She is decently picky (food aversions and trauma) and has a similar list every week.

Kate will eat whatever but Kate sucks at remembering to write down what she actually NEEDS so they're going off Yelena's safe food list and Kate's vibes. Yelena is also the only reason Kate eats a vegetable most days. The thing that Kate IS super fastidious about is remembering the reusable tote bags to save 10 cent on the plastic bag at Sprouts, which makes Yelena laugh because Kate has a whole trust fund and is concerned about 10 cent bags.

"You can't eat pizza every night" "Watch me" is a regular conversation.
