Portofino & Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy

On Friday 18th July, we went north along the Ligurian coast and visited the beautiful Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino (where they filmed a scene for ‘The Wolves of Wall Street’) and also San Fruttuoso. We walked approximately 5km to reach Portofino from Santa Margherita and was amazed by the ocean view the entire time. At the end of the day, we went back to Rapallo (where our accommodation was) by ferry and were able to briefly revisit the three places - it was a completely different experience to look at the towns from the sea.

David Holmes was Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double for the first six Harry Potter movies, and he was set to be his stunt double for the final two movies, but while testing out a flying stunt (famous for being a very dangerous stunt in itself) for Deathly Hallows Part I, he was thrown against a wall, and fractured his neck. The incident left him paralysed for life from the chest down, with only limited movement within his arms and hands.

on losing your best friend

its going to hurt. its going to hurt like hell. you will wake up at night sobbing. you will wake up at night screaming. its worse than losing any boyfriend. seasons will go by and all you will want to do is cry and cry and cry. other friends will try to get closer and you will let them but in reality nothing can fill that void. you will sit there staring at the wall trying to focus on your homework but you can’t because she should be there next to you at the kitchen table doing it with you. you will try to walk down the halls talking and laughing and smiling and joking but you shouldn’t be with these “friends”. she should be here. you will absentmindedly search for her in every single crowd, and every song will make you think of how much you need her back. you will make it through your first homecoming without her - only to get home and cry yourself to sleep because she promised to be in the same homecoming group as you. every single thing will remind you of your friendship. every. damn. thing. some nights you won’t be able to sleep, so you will lay there in bed staring at the fan imagining her laughter and the way she would stare at you in shock whenever you said something funny to a stranger. you will miss her jokes every second. people will think you’re obsessed with her, and people will think you just need to get over it. no one will understand, and no one will try to understand. she won’t get to meet the boy you’re currently obsessing over, which will drive you crazy because she has always known every boyfriend of yours. you can’t see her face when you show her a new song - you’ll just have to read her reaction over text through words like “loved it!” or “fav song from that album”. you will spend all of your time thinking of how to preserve the friendship, because you both refuse to let 1,017 miles become the factor that ends it all. after 10 years of having the same best friend, you will never be able to replace her. i know i couldn’t, even if i wanted too. and i do not.

PLEASE READ!!!! This little girl was choked, hit, sustained a fractured nose, bruised and had SEVEN teeth taken forcefully out by this dentist in Jacksonville, Florida. His name is Dr. Howard Schneider, and he has a record of abusing children in his past and administering drugs without parent permission, and lying to parents that they may not go in the back room with them as a way to make sure he can do whatever he wants without witness! If you google his name you will find multiple reviews and accounts of what families have gone through with this horrible man, and the worst part is that this man is being held accountable for NONE OF THESE ASSAULTS AGAINST THESE CHILDREN. Multiple people have attempted to bring him to court only to have some kind of setback and have even gone to the police only to be told that this was a civil case and nothing can be done! This needs to be known at the very least, if you live in the Jacksonville, Florida and have been taking your children there or your siblings or family, PLEASE STOP and do your research on this monster. Please please spread this and get this known! Someone must be able to do something. This cant go on any longer!! Please spread this!!
