The Sun Burns Bright With You [BKDK]
Orochi!Katsuki x Amaterasu!Izuku
//CW: Forbidden love, arguing, violence, death mention, near death, blood, alcohol mention, weaponry//
--
Izuku looked down at his sister with an expression of hatred and resentment as she returned to where he was stationed. She did not belong there. Izuku has just made his return to his rightful spot along with his family as well as the others gods and goddesses. So as she looked up at him, bearing her sword he knew he would get an earful he wished he didn't have to suffer through.
It was her entire fault the sky rest in darkness for days on end so why she decided to show her face anywhere near him again he was unsure. Izuku was not malicious, however, and was willing to listen for what she would fill his ears with.
"Izuku, my dear brother." "I wish not to listen to you try and butter me up, sister. What do you want, Ochako." Izuku hissed, taking a slight step backwards. "You have frightened me, sister, with the havoc you've caused. You threw our world into mayhem." He whispered.
"Why do you return?" "I wish just for your respect and forgiveness. As well as your honor for a fight I wish to partake on." She grinned, her hand making its way to her sword handle. Izuku turned his back to her but sighed, nodding to inform her he was still listening. "I have found a small village and I've met such a lovely family. They are in a crisis." "And you've come to ask me for forgiveness." Izuku raised his voice some, "You have been banished from these lands, Ochako! You know you have, I-I don't understand why you would come back to where you know you're not welcome.. All of a sudden you wish you help out a small family, there must be a motive here." Izuku crossed his arms, sighing quietly. "Just...explain."
Ochako sighed but kept a determined expression upon her face. "This family is in a crisis. Have you ever heard of an Orochi..?" She hummed quietly. Izuku froze at the name and slowly made his gaze up to her own. "Be more specific." "He goes more by Katsuki Bakugou from what they informed me. He's supposed to be some form of eight snake eight tailed beast. Perhaps you've heard of something along those lines." Izuku looked at her for a long moment before turning away once more. "I have not. What is the issue?" He asked, messing with his kimono some. "Apparently a lot of things! The family was forced to give up a child every year as a sacrifice to this beast. They had wished for my assistance and in it for me is their child's hand in marriage."
Izuku tsked in disbelief, "So you're going to slay the beast?" "Yes. That is why I am here. I know I can do this alone but...brother...you are powerful.. You are everything I am not. You could defeat this beast in one fell swoop if you so desired." Ochako exclaimed stepping towards him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Please.. I just need your blessing for this battle I'm going to partake in.." Izuku closed his eyes and witnessed flashes of red eyes fill his vision before opening his eyes quick and moving her hand away.
"You are my sister, so I will wish you luck. I will not, however, give you my blessing. I could laugh." He grimaced, turning to her. "You are not supposed to be here. I ask you leave and prepare for this battle you wish to do." Ochako looked at Izuku for a moment before sighing remorsefully and seeing herself out. The moment she left Izuku walked over to his rightful throne and sat on his knees in front of it, looking down at his lap.
He sighed as he took the clip out of his hair that held his hair up and held it in his hands. He gazed longingly at the scale that garnished the clip and thought about the man that bestowed the gift to him.
Not too long ago he watched the way his sister destroyed the lands below like they were just play things to her very own world in horror. Once he found himself under the gaze of a hurt serpent beast it made him fear his sister's wrath more than before. He was able to heal this beast and the beast gifted him with the scale he now holds dear. It was something about the beast that made his heart swell and long for its safety. He knew the beast was one that was of evil. One that demanded for a sacrifice every year maliciously like nothing mattered more than himself and what he desired. Yet Izuku basked in the gentle care the beast gave him. The way his eyes softened whilst looking at Izuku as he patched him up and the way his words held so much honor in them for the god that Izuku was.
This beast was evil, Izuku knew this.
Yet Izuku was willing to go against all he was taught and all he knows for this beast.
---
Izuku kept close watch of his sister through her journey to figure out what to do to fight the Orochi. He knew he shouldn't interfere. He knew he should just leave her to what she had to do. She was banished from the heavens and he had distaste towards her actions. Still, he was worried. Both for her and the Orochi. In the end she was still his sister, and in the end he cared about the Orochi.
He knew the Orochi would fight back against her, he knew she would fight until she was worn if she had to.
The Orochi was powerful, but he had a weakness. Izuku knew what this weakness was but he did not rely on Ochako to figure it out herself. Yet he feared what would happen if she did figure it out. The Orochi would be left powerless. It was a dirty trick yet what was needed.
She would kill him. Izuku didn't want this to happen. It was against everything, he could not figure out whether or not he would interfere. The thought of the Orochi losing his life to Izuku's very own sister breaks his heart into pieces of despair.
Yet if he interferes...well...he knows what would happen deep down and that frightens him. However, when he thinks about how sweet the Orochi was to him and just how much he enjoyed his company he couldn't stop the thoughts of interfering for a life with the Orochi. Izuku sighed, watching Ochako pace around the farm field of the family, the child of the family said to be sacrificed looking up at her in awe and hope. Izuku didn't want to break that hope, but it was what he dreaded he'd do.
He ran his fingers through his hair and found his way to look down at the Orochi instead with a smile on his face. What he didn't realize was he left watch of his sister a bit too soon. The moment he left she figured out an idea of what to do to the Orochi to earn the victory she so desired. Little did she know, it was the Orochi's true weakness and she was going to get everything she wanted.
---
Izuku watched his sister the next day walk up the steps to the Orochi's resting spot. With the bottle of sake she carried with her Izuku found it in himself to make sure he himself was prepared for whatever was to soon happen. Ochako kept a tight grip of her sword entirely prepared for this fight. Izuku could almost read what she had in store for the Orochi.
It did not take his sister long to make her way to the top of the steps and into the clearing where the Orochi sat on his throne, the snakes that most fear already hissing at her as she entered. He laughed as he stood up, looking across to Ochako, his red eyes seeming to glow in the glare he gave. "How cute, another who dares think they can make their way here to kill me." "I don't just think I can. I know I can."
The Orochi stalked closer, walking onto the deck where most of his battles occur. "I give you a minute to run away before your blood becomes the next to stain this wood. I suggest you use it." Ochako shook her head as she stepped unto the deck, a grin appearing on her face. "You doubt me. I know how to kill you right now." She shrugged, "Don't think I don't know all about you, Katsuki Bakugou."
"How sweet. You even know my name, that's more than most who come to challenge me." He laughed "I'm afraid to inform you just how fucked you are to be going through with this." "I'm afraid to inform you that this moment will be your final one. Any last words?" Katsuki smirked, licking over his fangs as he prepared to fight, "This wont be my last, Ochako." He hissed. "But, one day, I'll see you in hell!" He said before charging at her. She followed suit and charged at him with her sword already beginning to hit at him.
Katsuki used the snakes that wrapped around his being to bite and hit at her as he himself hit with the sharps claws that adorned his hands. Izuku watched the fight take place with a baited breath. He couldn't think of what would truly happen. He didn't know what to expect. He watched both of them begin to get scratches and marks on their skin and the blood trickle down their body and seep into their clothing. He saw exhaustion start to wear the two of them down, it looked like Katsuki more than Ochako.
Izuku knew he was still recovering from the injuries he suffered not long ago. That, he feared. He wasn't his 100%. He knew he could still probably defeat her but, he didn't know entirely what he could take. It was as he was thinking about this he realized the bottle of sake had disappeared. He quickly panicked as he tried to see where it could have went. He noticed as Katsuki stepped back towards a specific edge of the deck that there was a line of buckets. He laughed as he let his snakes drink from the buckets as they both breathed heavily.
Izuku shook his head noticing the white bottle that rolled not far from where these buckets were lined. The same white bottle that Ochako carried with her. Once she charged back at her and Katsuki let the snakes deflect her attacks, Izuku took note of the coughs Katsuki let out and the way his snakes and his own movement slowed down. He lost his footing a couple times and the moment one of Katsuki's snakes got cut from his body Izuku rushed to make his way down to the fight.
Izuku prayed that he wouldn't be too late. Ochako found his weakness. Ochako knew she'd be able to win. Katsuki would die at the hands of his sister. He moved before he could think, he shouldn't be interfering but Katsuki needed him now more than anytime. Once Izuku got there he saw how Katsuki was bleeding more and one of the tails that normally swung behind him was now cut from his body and Ochako was getting ready to swing her sword at his neck.
Katsuki could barely move himself, but Izuku could move and he moved before he knew he was doing, the adrenaline coursing through his veins. He stood in front of Katsuki and grabbed the blade of her sword, looking at her with a glare of anger. Ochako's eyes widened as she looked back at his bright eyes.
"Izuku..?"
Izuku let the blade start to burn in his hold, his eyes seeming to shine brighter as he did so. Ochako dropped the blade from her hand and took a slight step back. "What...are you doing, brother?" Izuku frowned as he turned towards Katsuki, ignoring the question and the blood that seeped down his hand as he cupped the sides of his face. Katsuki leaned into the hold, looking into his eyes, a goofy grin on his face. "An angel came to my rescue." He whispered. "C'mon...we'll get you somewhere safe, alright?" Izuku smiled back at him solemnly and looked back at the cold stare Ochako gave him.
"What are you doing, brother?" She hissed out once more, clearly growing more agitated as she looked at the two of them. "I thought you didn't know this beast?! How.. How dare you come between this battle?!" She yelled at him. Izuku shook his head, looking down at the tail that was between them. "If you want proof of your victory, take it. Just leave him alone, please." He whimpered quietly, weakness that he never really expressed showing in his voice.
"You.." Ochako began, "You lied to me.. You told me you didn't know this beast! Yet here you are! Protecting something so...vile.. He demands a sacrifice each year yet you are here protecting him! You who is a symbol of hope for gods and people everywhere!" Izuku shook his head, "I...So what then? Will you try and take my throne? Find yourself back to the lands you're banished from?!" Ochako chuckled, shaking her head in disappointment, "You talk so high and mighty about the shit I've done yet here you are with someone who's done worse than I ever could do." She hissed, grabbing the tail from the ground. "You've destroyed my sword for him. Just imagine the disappointment you'll bring to our family." She sighed and shook her head, beginning to walk away, "I don't need your throne. Just know that the sun will still shine no matter where you roam." She hummed and made her descent down the stairs.
Izuku let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding as he pulled Katsuki to sit down on the ground. "Oh...Oh I'm so sorry Kacchan.. I'll.. I'll fix you up.. I'm sorry I.." "Izuku.." Katsuki whispered, shakily bringing his hand up to cup the side of his face. "You didn't do anything wrong...in fact.. You're doing everything right.." Izuku started to tear up looking at his serpents then to the blood on his clothes then up at his face where that stupid goofy grin still was. "Kacchan.." His voice broke and he gently wrapped his arms around him not caring about the mess his kimono soon became.
"Deku.." Katsuki used what strength he had to wrap his arms around him. His serpents that remained finding their way to stay close to Izuku, their trust in him apparent. "I'll make sure nothing like this ever happens again.. Come...You need to get away from here."
"This is m-my home..I..I can't.." Katsuki told him, clear sorrow in his voice yet he still sounded unsure of what he was doing and going through. "You can return at some point..just..right now is not safe for you.. You're not okay..you're drunk and hurt. Not the best combo, Kacchan.." Izuku frowned, pulling him up from the ground, letting him lean on him for support. He led him to a resting spot that he knew all too well. He made sure night was soon to fall as he brought Katsuki into the cave.
He used what he could of his powers to essentially castrate his wounds. He provided Katsuki with water from a nearby river to help with sobering him and his serpents up. The alcohol seemed to not be affecting him as much now as it was before but it still seemed to have some of a toll on him. He was slow to think and his words still held some slurring to them. Izuku kept watch of him closely, making sure to care for him how he needed. He cared deeply for Katsuki. He hated to see him in this situation.
He dreaded for what his parents would say or do.. This was forbidden..caring for evil was one of the biggest rules for gods such as himself. Yet as he looked at Katsuki resting on the cave ground he couldn't help the worries washing away from him.
--
"He..what?!"
"It's true, you can witness it for yourself, father." Ochako sighed, looking over at Izuku's throne. It was always so beautiful compared to her own. What good could they make of a storm goddess though? "I watched him protect the Orochi. Where do you believe my sword is now if you don't believe me." She chuckled, pulling the new sword she now carried out of its sheath. "This isn't something I'd normally use, yet it was in the beasts tail. Something to hold me over for my destroyed sword."
Hisashi, their father started to pace as he thought to himself yet still mumbled out loud as he was deep in thought about what to make of his son's choices. "I believe we should go easy on him." Shouto said from not far away, Izuku's older brother. "You can't blame him for finding someone outside of us to care about. He deserves happiness too." He sighed, taking a seat. "I...was going to kill that beast. You're not seriously defending an Orochi, are you?" Ochako hissed.
"So, maybe I am." Shouto shook his head, "Or maybe I'm defending our brother. You wouldn't know much about caring for others." "Shouto." Inko sighed, looking between the two of them. "We can't completely discredit what Ochako is saying and you know that."
"Your mother is right. He...he should know better." Hisashi shook his head, "Never did I think Izuku would find joy in someone the complete opposite of what we are and stand for. What would those that look up to up think?!" He raised his voice. "It's forbidden in these lands...but Izuku is needed here. He doesn't have the choice between us and the beast. His only choice is us whether he likes it or not." Inko added to what he said, looking at Shouto. "You understand, right?"
Shouto's brows furrowed as he got up, "Mother...you told us that we should never question who we care about or discredit ourselves." "I did didn't I.." She frowned, looking away. "This.. This is different. An Orochi is a beast that hurts the people we are supposed to care for."
"The same way Ochako is a goddess that hurt the lands we were supposed to care for?!" Shouto broke his usual monotone voice as he started to get more worked up. "Yet here she is back in the lands she shouldn't be in!"
"This...is only temporary, Shouto.. You understand the kind of decision we're making here and what it requires ri-" "I don't! Your son is the god of the sun. He is what holding the earth together yet you're going to essentially banish him from what sounds like love all because you have some stupid rules against that. What has the Orochi truly done outside of sacrifices. I can bet to you that there are those out there that do sacrifices for us that we don't know about...or...even better...we do know!"
"Shouto that is enough!" Hisashi yelled at him making him back down and take a slight step back. "We make these decisions, you have no say in them, do I make myself clear?!" Shouto looked up at him, his expression still wearing anger over it but he grit his teeth and responded with a, "Yes, sir." And stayed quiet after that. Both Shouto and Ochako were dismissed elsewhere while Inko and Hisashi discussed what to do next. "Did you really have to yell at him like that?" Inko sighed, looking where Shouto exited. "He needs to understand he is in no form of power when it comes to this. I understand he cares about Izuku but this is not his area." Hisashi shook his head as he took a seat, using his powers to see where Izuku was. He watched with Inko how Izuku sat with the Orochi who slept soundly on the cave floor. Izuku was using his powers to have a fire near Katsuki to keep him warm in the chill of the night. Izuku looked so focused yet so...caringly at him.
Izuku may be the god of the sun yet he looked at Katsuki like he himself made the sun shine. Hisashi was afraid for what this could mean for when Izuku had to return to his rightful post. How would Izuku react? He was sure he was going to be upset but just how upset? It was the rules, no god could bend the rules. It was why Ochako was technically banished.
But Izuku looked so...happy. "Hisashi.." Inko whispered, gently cupping his shaking hand. "We need to go through with keeping him here." He sighed, making the sight vanish. "Before he's too far in. We'll have to summon him tomorrow after he rises the sun." "Will this truly be alright?" She asked. Hisashi looked at her for a moment before looking down. "I..I don't know, Inko...I truly don't know."
--
Izuku watched Katsuki wake up in the middle of the night and slowly blink up at him. Once he focused in on him he smiled softly at the warmth he was still keeping near him. "You need to rest too." He grunted quietly, sitting up and gently kissing his cheek making Izuku's face heat up more than his hands were in a blush. "I'm alright now, I have a bad headache, but I can protect us."
Izuku shook his head, smiling softly, "I am fine, don't worry Kacchan." He told him. "I'm just glad to see you again...even if when I saw you again you were almost killed by my sister." "I wouldn't have let myself die until I got the chance to see you one last time.." Izuku stopped using his powers for a moment and gently wrapped his arms around Katsuki, sitting closer to him. "I'm so glad you're still here.." He whispered against him. "Even if it's not by your side I'll still stay for you." Katsuki told him, kissing the top of his head before pulling him into his lap. "I tell you that each time you see me," He added. Izuku leaned back some, looking into his eyes. "It's crazy to think I've known you for only half a month yet you treat me so..so much sweeter than I've ever known."
"You are everything I could have ever prayed for. How a god like you could see the good in me I'm unsure but I'm so glad you do." "I'd do whatever it took to be able to be like this with you. I am aware of what you've done.. You know I don't condone it...yet I don't believe your life should be played with because of it." He whispered, kissing his cheek then his nose, lastly landing on his lips. Katsuki chuckled as he pushed Izuku's hair behind his ear when they separated. "That's one for the history books." "Oh shush you." Izuku giggled pushing his face away. Katsuki laughed as he wrapped his arms around him and pulled him to lay down making him squeak in shock but relax comfortably in his arms. "Shh...sleep now." He whispered to him, playing with his hair. Izuku sighed happily unable to argue with the exhaustion that was taking over his body and so he let himself rest.
Since their first encounter Izuku couldn't keep his watch off of him. Izuku already had helped with the injuries Katsuki had suffered due to the wrath of his sister and stayed with him the day following to make sure he'd be okay. After that day he had left for just a day and witnessed just how much more damage Ochako had caused which made him flee to a cave which caused darkness to fall over the course of a few days.
Katsuki somehow found his cave, though it wasn't too far from the Orochi's place of habitancy, whether it be because of Izuku's subconscious or not he'd never truly know. Izuku spent time with Katsuki. He learned all about Katsuki and who and what he was and he introduced him to each of his serpents that already found their way to wrapping around Izuku and practically cuddling him. Katsuki informed him just how in tune him and his serpents were which was the start of how much Izuku adored him.
When Izuku finally exited the cave Katsuki helped him have security. The gods threw a form of party for him to get him to come out from wherever he was but it was Katsuki that truly showed him it was alright. Then Izuku had to return to his throne for a few more days.
These few more days were insufferable for both parties to the point Izuku had to return once night fell to where Katsuki was. He practically clung to him the moment he saw him. He expressed how much he missed him and how much he didn't understand his emotions towards him. They spent the night talking to and understanding one another and the night ended with Katsuki kissing Izuku's cheek before he raised the sun. Since then Izuku spent as much time as he could with him at least up until his sister told him she was going after him.
Izuku told Katsuki the following day she was going to come after him so Katsuki was prepared for the fight. Which leads up to where they're at now. Or where they were at.
Once Izuku woke up, courteous of Katsuki, he walked out and raised the sun. The moment it was up and he went back to give Katsuki a kiss good morning he watched a portal like thing form on the ground between the two of them. Katsuki was instantly alert but Izuku's eyes just widened as he looked at it and who emerged from it.
"F-Father.." He whispered. "Izuku. We need to talk." He said, barely giving him a moment to respond or react as he grabbed his arm, pulling him into the portal. Katsuki went to reach out for him as Izuku did so himself but they fell just short and soon Izuku was gone back to his home. The moment they got there Izuku fell to his knees where they just came from. "N-No..no.. Take me back.. Father.. P-Please!" He yelled, already starting to tear up.
"I'm sorry but you don't have this as a choice, Izuku." Hisashi said, sitting down. "Let's start from the beginning, or at least what should have been your beginning with the Orochi. Why did you protect him." Izuku looked down at the ground, shaking his head, "I don't need to tell you." He spat out. "Oh, but I think you do. I know you don't want to answer to anyone higher up than me, but it's either that or me. Choose the wiser option." He hissed.
Izuku's tears fell down his face as he made his gaze up to him. "And if I told you t-that I love him, father, what will my punishment be. No matter what you have happen to me I'm going to find my way back to him." He kept his voice strong despite his sobs.
"You shouldn't love him, Izuku. We raised you better than this!" He yelled, "He shouldn't love you either. He doesn't get to love a god such as you with the evil he-" "You don't know him!" Izuku shakily got up from the ground. "I know I've seen you take sacrifices before. Both you and mother. You... You're a hypocrite! He's...the sweetest man I've ever met and be glad that someone loves me!" Hisashi pinched the space between his eyes in agitation, "Well then he's going to have to forget about you. You're no longer allowed to leave here."
Izuku's eyes widened as he listened to him. "W-What?" "You heard me. No more leaving here. If we need to put a curse on you so you truly won't leave then we're not afraid to. You're not going to see him again. This conversation is over." Izuku shakily stepped back and covered his mouth to muffle his cries as Hisashi exited the area. He understood the problem. He knew there was a problem, but he loved Katsuki. He thought his parents would care just a little more about the fact their son is in love than the fact it's wrong. They weren't afraid to curse him which scared him too. Would it be a permanent curse? He was unsure, he didn't know what was going to happen to him. He could keep watch of Katsuki but what if they cursed that part of him?
What length would his parents go to keep him from Katsuki?
---
Izuku kept his head down on his throne as he sat on the ground. He couldn't find the strength in him to sit up or even get up. Everything felt weak and like it hurt.
It had been only a couple days since he's seen Katsuki. He's felt this before, not as extreme but he remembered the way he felt last time he just finished seeing Katsuki and left afterward. He thought it was just because he was tired but, right now he felt so awake. Izuku just watched the sky and raised the sun when he was needed.. He did this just fine beforehand but...right now it felt like he didn't have any form of power. He was upset that he wasn't with Katsuki, yes, more than anything.
He just didn't realize how much he couldn't do when in a state like this.
He heard steps behind him before a gentle hand rubbed gently on his back. "Izuku, baby, it's over time, the sun should be raised." His mother whispered to him worriedly. Izuku slowly shook his head, looking over at her, "I...I can't.." He whispered to her. Her eyes widened hearing how truly weak he sounded. Her expression changed to an angry one and she got up. "I'll be right back dear, I'm going to grab your father." Izuku used what he could to look at her worriedly but Inko shook her head reassuringly before walking out. A few moments passed before Inko returned with Hisashi. "Look at our son." She hissed at him, "You know exactly what this is."
Hisashi looked at Izuku shocked before shaking his head, "They barely knew each other from what I can tell! How?!" "I don't know Hisashi! What we are going to do is take him to see that Orochi." She said sternly, "I don't care if it's against the rules, I care deeply about our son and I don't want to see him like this." Hisashi frowned but in the end kneeled down by Izuku, opening a portal close to him. "We'll talk when you come back." He whispered, gently pulling Izuku to the portal.
Once Izuku got through he felt an instant weight be taken off of him. He felt like something was blocking everything he most cared about but now...now he felt new again. "Won't be the first time you fell into my arms.. This is the only literal sense though." Izuku's eyes instantly shot open and he looked around where he was able to but just saw the tall blond Orochi that also so happens to be his lover holding him in his arms bridal style. Izuku felt new.
So, he teared up and wrapped his arms around him with his newfound energy and held him as close as he could. "This.. You're here.. Kacchan.. You're here.." He cried out into his chest. He felt Katsuki kiss the top of head and sit down with him still in his arms. "That's right.. I'm here.."
"They.. I'm so sorry! I..I was banished from seeing you again.. I'm so sorry.. I..i don't know why they made me come here now but.. I'm here.. I don't know how long.. But I want this moment to last forever." He whimpered. Katsuki gently ran his fingers through his hair, a smile on his face. "How are you holding up?" He asked. "Terribly..I..I..I couldn't raise the sun..I was..weak.." He whispered. "I..don't truly know why they allowed me to be here now.." Katsuki looked at him before a moment chuckled quietly, "Deep inside there they care.." Izuku hummed confused but Katsuki just shook his head, bringing Izuku closer.
--
A couple days later Izuku made his was back to his throne but this time with someone else by his side.
"They're gonna be pissed to see me." Katsuki chuckled as he listened to steps come closer to where they were before opening the door. "You've brought him." Inko hummed, walking over to him. "Oh we.. Mostly Hisashi, apologizes for the actions he took against you.." Inko took in a deep breath before she hugged him tight, "To me, you are already family.. It's just about getting through to him." Hisashi made his own way into the room and looked at everyone who instantly gave him their attention.
"Katsuki." He said looking at him. He started his approach towards him, Izuku watching worriedly before letting out the breath he didn't realize he was holding once he placed a hand on his shoulder. "If I had realize earlier just how close you both I would have taken this so much more seriously than I did before and for that I apologize." He told him. "The imprint the two of you have on each other is dear. It'll take me time to get used to this...but...you make our son happy.. So I think we can figure something out.."
Katsuki grinned at him and gave him a determined nod before looking back at Izuku whos eyes were already filled with tears. He turned to him and jumped into his arms, crying at the pure joy he felt.
They had accidentally imprinted on one another back when they first met. Katsuki's imprint was much stronger due to his serpents adding onto it but either way they both were attached to one another. It was why Izuku began to grow so weak when he didn't get to see him.
Katsuki holds part of his power as Izuku does for him. They still are their separate people with their separate lives that have their own responsibilities. But in the end it's only them two.
In the end they have each other and only wish for one another despite how different their worlds are.
Love sees its way through whatever life throws at their way.

Not Just Flowers Wilt [BKDK]
//Cw: Throwing up, blood, fighting, miscommunication, death mention/near death, internalized homophobia, happy ending dw :3//
--
Izuku shakily looked down in the toilet where bloody cherry blossom and daisy petals floated on top of the water. His eyes widened as he looked at them, unable to stop more than came up and coughed their way out of his throat along with more blood. He gripped the seat as he started to shake and sob.
It made his chest and throat tighten more but he couldn't help the pure emotions that poured out of him as he looked at the flowers and thought about the conversation he just had with his best friend Katsuki Bakugou.
Well, he didn't know if he could call him that right now.
--
"You're trending." Izuku hummed to him as he looked at his phone.
Katsuki tilted his head, moving to look over his shoulder. "Click it, it's probably something stupid." "Who'd you cuss out?" Izuku joked making Katsuki playfully hit his arm. "Click it, dumbass!" Izuku smiled and pressed it.
The first post showed him all he needed to know. Izuku's eyes widened seeing the pictures. He tried so hard to keep his hand from shaking or even just dropping his phone all together from seeing it. He felt sick. "Fuck...the paparazzi saw that?" Katsuki groaned nonchalantly, running his fingers through his hair.
Izuku didn't know what to say. He just knew his chest burned and he felt like throwing up. Could you blame him? He just saw a picture of his best friend kissing another pro. "K-Kacchan?..What is this?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
He felt like he was going to cry, he couldn't speak much louder without potentially breaking. "It was nothing. She kissed me." He shrugged. "I didn't expect a picture to be taken of it though. PR is gonna kill me." He laughed, shaking his head.
"I suspected she was starting to flirt with me. That was the first time she acted on it though. I-" "So it didn't matter." "What was that?" Izuku stood up from his seat, looking up at him with glossy eyes. "It didn't matter. None of it mattered did it?"
Katsuki looked at him confused for a second. "What? The kiss with her? I mean mostly no, I mean I was starting to think about it I guess but-" "No! Not that!" Izuku snapped. His chest was starting to burn more and it was getting harder to breathe. "Then what Izuku? I'm not a damn psychic." Katsuki rolled his eyes. "The...the dates we went on? Did none of those matter? I thought we...were going somewhere..?" Izuku let his voice break and some tears fall. "What dates? Izuku what are you talking about?"
"The dates we went on! You took me to the amusement park! We went and got ice cream another time! You asked me out to that café you know I like, you-wait.." Izuku whispered, bracing himself and looking back at the picture of Katsuki and the other pro. His eyes darted over the image despite it being harder to see due to the tears but he saw what he needed. "You..You took her there.." Izuku dropped his phone back down onto the counter, looking back at him. "O-Our special spot you-you took her there!"
"..Izuku calm...calm down, this isn't worth it. You're not looking at this correctly. I didn't take her on a date or anything, it was just in the area and we were hungry. But neither did I take you on dates." He shook his head, crossing his arms. "You..but you..you got me so much stuff..you treated me so..sweet..those..that wasn't..?" "No, Deku. I never said they were dates." Katsuki said, seeming to get annoyed at this conversation. "And I can take anyone else anywhere I want to. You don't own that spot."
Izuku's heart broke more at his words as he stepped back. He couldn't ignore the bile creeping up any longer or the tears that were already escaping. "You just do that shit for fun then, huh?" Izuku laughed without humor. "Well fun fact Katsuki! That shit wasn't just fun for me!"
"What are you so upset for? That was your mistake thinking that was what it was." "Get out." "Wh-" "OUT." Izuku yelled before coughing. Katsuki looked at him worriedly, reaching out for him but Izuku just slapped his hand away. Katsuki left in a huff, slamming the door on his way out leaving Izuku to instantly dart to the bathroom.
--
That brought Izuku to where he was now. He knew what this was, he knew why it was happening. It was bound to happen eventually. He got his hopes up that Katsuki might actually like him back with the "dates" they went on but apparently Katsuki wouldn't ever dream of being like that with him. That thought made him cough up more petals and sob harder. Katsuki never wanted him the way Izuku wanted him. It was stupid he ever thought he did.
-
Izuku let the weeks pass, his condition starting to get worse to the point he was on a medical leave from hero work until his sickness got better. No one knew about his Hanahaki. They just thought he caught a bug or something. No one knew Izuku spent nights sobbing until he fell asleep from how tired he was until the pain woke him up and kept him up as it had before he even fell asleep in the first place.
It was like his permanent spot was leaning over the toilet waiting for more petals to be thrown up.
He hasn't spoken with Katsuki since the fight. The picture stayed trending until new pictures of him and the other pro came out. Each one Izuku saw broke him even more and made it even harder to breathe and even move. Izuku tried to keep up with the petals that now littered around his house from how many he was throwing up. Soon the petals turned into full flowers.
He did this to himself.
Izuku looked at his phone seeing a new notification not from any social media this time but from the Class 1-A group chat.
They were planning a dinner meetup for all who wanted to come. Izuku always attended these, it'd be weird for him to not go to it. As long as he made it to the weekend it'd be okay.
--
Izuku stumbled his way into the restaurant instantly seeing his friends and making his way over to the table. "H-Hey guys!" He put on the best smile he could. They all said their respective hellos as he sat down and joined their conversations. The table filled up more in due time with his old classmates making the room more full and lively.
He had to admit he missed this. They hadn't had a dinner in months.
Well, he missed it at least up until Katsuki showed up. He instantly felt his throat tighten and bile burn his chest. The only free seat was next to Izuku and the moment he sat down it got worse.
They both didn't say any word to one another, just stayed in their own conversations. Izuku started to quiet down himself and just limit himself to listening so he didn't risk petals falling onto the table without his control. He excused himself from the table when the burn became too much and he quickly had to make his way to the bathroom to empty his already empty stomach.
The flowers continued to fall out of his mouth. This is the worst its ever been. He didn't know what to do. He coughed heavily letting out more flowers. He took a deep shaky breath, wiping his face and shakily standing up, stumbling back slightly as he leaned against the stall wall. He just had to get through the rest of dinner. He'd make it through it, right? He wiped the blood off his mouth with the tissues before flushing the toilet and making his way out of the stall. He looked at himself in the mirror for a second, noticing how pale and weak he was starting to look. His freckles were hardly visible anymore and the dark circles under his eyes had gotten worse.
If any of his friends noticed they didn't say anything about it which he's thankful about. He didn't want them to worry about something that was his fault. Izuku tried fixing his hair a bit before walking back out to the table and taking his seat.
A couple of his old classmates nodded at him in acknowledgment before going back to their conversations. After a couple of hours the group started to disperse, saying their goodbyes upon having to head out. Izuku was about to leave and walk through the pouring rain that had just started before he was stopped by a voice behind him.
"You're not actually going to walk through the rain, are you?" Izuku turned to Katsuki who stood there before just nodding, starting to walk again before he stopped him once more. "You're going to get sick. Let me drive you home." Izuku frowned, he wanted to say no, he knew it'd hurt him more if he stayed by him for much longer. Yet he just allowed himself to be led out to his car and be driven home.
The drive was silent mostly and the air was tense. Izuku couldn't talk and Katsuki wasn't sure where to begin. Katsuki tapped on the steering wheel, something he did when he was nervous. "You were quiet during dinner." He whispered. Izuku just shrugged in response. "...Are we ever going to talk about it?" Izuku just shrugged again. "Izuku, I need more of a response than that, I know you're upset at me but I can't...do anything if you won't talk to me." Izuku looked at him for a second before he let out a cough and quickly clutched his aching chest. He couldn't breathe.
It hurt, it hurt so bad. He coughed a bit more, trying to hold it back as much as he could. "Did you lose your voice suddenly or something? When did you get sick?" "K-Kacchan, just take me h-home." He was able to get out, looking more out the window to distract himself. Katsuki was silent before just sighing, not saying anything else the rest of the drive. It was only a few more minutes but they were agonizing for Izuku. He was scared, he couldn't stop coughing every once in awhile. His breathing was getting worse, his throat was closing up.
He didn't want this to end with Katsuki near. One of the last few coughs was when Katsuki pulled into his driveway. This cough left his hands full of flowers. His eyes widened as he looked at Katsuki who was already staring at him in shock and pure fear.
"Izuku-" He shook his head, quickly unbuckling himself and unlocking the doors and stumbling out of the car trying to run into his house as fast as he could. He fumbled with the keys as Katsuki got out of the car as well. He unlocked the door and stumbled inside going to close the door behind him but he didn't have the strength to shut it all the way as he ran to the bathroom, Katsuki yelling after him right behind him.
"Izuku! Fuck, talk to me! What's going on?!" He yelled, running into the bathroom.
He was going to talk but the sight made him freeze and his breath hitch. Izuku was hunched over the toilet which was filled with flowers and blood to an extreme as he sobbed tears that could barely form from how dehydrated he was.
Katsuki fell to his knees beside him, placing a hand on his back which made him tense up and throw up more. "Izuku..oh..oh my god.. When?! When did this start?!" He was openly crying himself now, letting the fear take over of watching his best friend practically die before him. "A..A few weeks ago.." He whispered, voice low and weak. "After o-our fight.." Izuku saw no point of lying at this point. He was going to die anyway, he'd rather die with everything laid out before him than die regretting he didn't say anything.
"W-What..what are.. What are you t-talking about Izuku..you..a few weeks?!" He whispered harshly, watching Izuku look over to him. His eyes were so dull. He looked like a shell of the person he once was. "I don't.. This isn't... Why didn't you get the surgery Izuku!" He sobbed, hugging him to his chest, ignoring the flowers that fell on his lap. "We were supposed to stick together Izuku! Why didn't you let yourself live the moment this started?!" Izuku let himself chuckle weakly, his body continuing to grow more limp in his hold.
"I-I'm willing to die if it meant I got to continue loving you.."
Izuku fainted after he said that, his body too weak to continue staying awake. Katsuki frantically held his arm, feeling for his pulse. It was weak, so so weak. But it was still there.
"You idiot... You f-fucking idiot!" He yelled knowing Izuku couldn't hear him. But it wasn't Izuku he was talking to but himself. "He needs to stay.. He needs to know h-how you feel about h-him.." He whispered, dialing for an ambulance.
--
Izuku woke up to bright lights and an unfamiliar room and loud noises all around him. Where was he? He was supposed to be dead. Why wasn't he..? "Good morning." A familiar rough voice snapped him out of his thoughts as he looked to his side slowly. There Katsuki sat, a worried expression on his face. He looked like he hadn't slept in days.
What had stuck out the most was the hold he had on Izuku's hand and how gentle yet tight it was. Not to mention the fact that he was shaking as he held his hand. "H-How are you feeling?" Katsuki asked him softly, like if he spoke any louder he'd break him. "I'm...just tired..." Izuku frowned, looking down at his lap as he started to take focus on where he was.
The heart monitor and the flowers that were on his bedside table. Katsuki took him to the hospital. He didn't feel the hurt in his chest anymore and he could breathe normally again. What did he do? "I figured you'd be tired.." Katsuki chuckled before standing up. "Do you want me to call the doctor and let him know you're up?" Izuku slowly shook his head, he needed a moment to process.
"Why am I here Kacchan?" He was silent for a moment before a gentle squeeze was felt on his hand. "Because I wasn't going to let you die."
"Don't tell me you-" "I didn't." Izuku's eyes widened, he didn't have him get the surgery. So how was he still here? The only cure was the surgery... Unless..? "Izuku, look at me." Izuku did so but had a difficult time keeping his eyes on him as multiple emotions flooded through him at once. He was still alive. He didn't get the surgery. How was he still alive? Why doesn't he feel the pain of the flowers within his chest taking over his entire body as he lay there with the man he loves. How can he still love him?
"I just want you to listen. Don't...don't worry about a response right now...okay? Just...listen. If you need me to slow down I will, okay?" Izuku nodded which allowed Katsuki to begin talking.
"That day we fought.. I had so many things running through my head I didn't know...what to even do.." He whispered, starting to run his thumb over Izuku's knuckles. "I...I've been so..confused recently and I just..I took it out on you cause..I didn't know..how to go about it.." He whispered, his eyes darting away. "You've always confused me and after our...dates...I was just even more confused.." Izuku looked at him confused, "You said what we were doing weren't dates?" "I was trying to convince myself more than convincing you."
"But...why?" Katsuki looked ashamed. In either his actions or himself Izuku wasn't sure. It was probably both. He knew he was trying to figure out how to say what he wanted. So he gave him the time he needed. Once he figured it out he took a deep breath, "I didn't.. I didn't like this part of me.. I..I don't know how to feel towards myself about liking anyone let alone that person being you." Katsuki's hand started to shake, Izuku mustered what he could to squeeze his hand.
"I did so much to you growing up because of how jealous I was of your strength and over time I tried so hard to bury what I felt for you. I tried dating people I didn't like just so I could run from my feelings like a fucking coward." Katsuki looked at him, tears threatening to spill from his eyes. "Even after all of that, it's still you I want to wake up to each morning and treat with so much care.. The care that you deserve.." Izuku felt his heart grow full as he listened to him continue.
"That kiss with that girl? Meant nothing to me. If anything I felt disgusted after it!" That made Izuku quietly chuckle. The first spark of emotion he's had in weeks. "I took her to that cafe cause of how much it reminded me of you.. I..I can't run no matter how much I tried."
Izuku nodded, leaning his head more on his pillow. "It's hard to accept something that's so different about yourself.." "I'm still struggling, Izuku.." "I am too..I understand." Katsuki sniffled, wiping his eyes, "I hurt you.. So much.. More than words can describe, Izuku." He took a deep breath, sitting down to become eye level with him. "If somewhere in there.. You can forgive me.. It doesn't need to be now.. You don't even have to care about this at all...but...If you could ever forgive me? I'm so sorry, Izuku, I'll spend forever making up for this hurt that I caused you. I.." Katsuki paused, meeting his gaze. The gaze that already looked so much more full of life. He felt a wave of familiar emotions hit him as he smiled. "I love you, Izuku." Izuku looked at him, processing everything he said.
On one end he understood everything, he was the same way when he found out he liked boys and especially Kacchan. On another end he was hurt. He almost lost his life. Something he accepted would happen in the beginning of all this but now that he was here it felt so surreal. Yet as his heart filled with warmth he missed feeling for what felt like eons he knew what his answer was. So he opened his mouth to speak.
--
"Are we cooking or doing takeout tonight?" A voice asked over the phone as Izuku hummed quietly in thought.
"Cooking! Can you make us katsudon?" He giggled, looking through the cabinets seeing if they had all the ingredients. "You got to get some things while at the store for it." "How did I just know you would want katsudon." "You know me so well!" He giggled.
"Whatever, I'll see you when I get home, alright? I love you." "I love you too! Stay safe!" Izuku said before the call disconnected and he started his wait.
-
"Kacchan!" He smiled, instantly hugging him as he walked through the door. "Hey Bunny, missed me?"
"Of course I did! You were gone for so long! How was patrol? Oh! Sorry, let's go put the bags in the kitchen." He hummed, taking some of the bags allowing him to talk as they walked to the kitchen. The house was soon filled with laughter and jokes between the two as they started to make the katsudon. They teased and taunted each other getting into small play fights which usually resulted in food getting somewhere it most likely shouldn't be. But they had fun, even if it took longer than it should for their food to be made and they were both covered in little tidbits of the ingredients. They just laughed it off, having a debate of who would take a shower first.
Once the home they shared quieted down some and they fell into calm conversations.
They sat happily enjoying the dinner while hands that bore matching golden rings on them were intertwined between the two of them. Izuku will forever be grateful for everything that happened. They had downs but the ups made him happy being here today with him by his side.

Those Who Skate Together [BKDK]
//CW: Angst, Panic Attack, Belittling, Bullying, Shindou x Izuku, BKDK endgame + happy ending//
--
Izuku remembers the way his childhood best friend held his hand as he helped him learn how to skate with his first ever pair of roller skates. Their moms took them to the skatepark and made sure they were in a less congested area before allowing them to begin skating.
Izuku got the hang of it quickly but had a decent amount of spills either way. Katsuki patched him up with Band-Aids with every scratch he got and encouraged him through it all.
That core memory was what kept Izuku into the hobby, even through the years he no longer had Katsuki by his side and was teased by his peers for roller skating to and from school. Izuku dealt with this and just enjoyed what he liked most. Thought it felt a lot different now that Katsuki wasn't there by his side.
Katsuki moved away and they've all been so busy and unable to meet up. After some years their parents lost contact with one another.
So Izuku was alone all the way up until his 2nd year of high school.
That was when he met his first boyfriend, Shindou Yo.
Shindou told him how beautiful he thought he was and started to get to know Izuku. Izuku was happy to have someone so infatuated with him.
He hadn't had that since Kacchan. So, he gave him his everything, and they became an item. They instantly became a hot topic around the school, Shindou was popular, talk about him spread fast. Along with just talk about them in general there were a lot of eyes on Izuku.
Izuku had already been the loner type and people thought he was weird with his constant muttering and what was worse was people constantly taunted him for skating.
"It was no wonder a weirdo like you started skating."
"Isn't that...a girl...thing?"
"You know not everyone needs to know about it, right?"
Izuku ignored these comments most of the time. He enjoyed what he did and wasn't going to let random people that don't even know him stop him. So, he continued skating to and from school and making sure to spend time during the day doing so, keeping his hobby up.
Well, that was until Shindou came up to him at his locker while he was tying up his skate laces. "Izuku.."
"Hm?-Oh! Hi Shindou! What's up?" He smiled brightly up at him.
"Do you really...have to put those on everyday?"
Shindou looked down at his skates before looking back at him. Izuku tilted his head confused. "I want to...why do you...ask?"
"I mean...can't you just...walk? You are kind of making a fool out of yourself.." He whispered, shaking his head. Izuku frowned as he looked up at him before finishing tying his skates and standing up.
"You know I do this to get home faster...to help my mom out?"
"Well, you could bike? Or just run home?.. Keep this a...y'know...hobby?"
Izuku shook his head, crossing his arms, "This is me keeping it a "hobby" Shin.." He sighed quietly, picking up his bag, "If you're worried about yourself looking like a fool you could have just been honest about that." He said before leaving the school. He blinked back the tears that stung his eyes trying to keep himself from being too hurt.
He couldn't blame Shindou. He was popular and it was probably hurting his reputation with the fact that he's with Izuku first of all and second of all everyone finding the skating weird. He understood that. However Shindou hardly hung around Izuku, and Izuku only actually skated when coming to school and leaving school. That was the only times people caught glimpses of him.
He got to school earlier to help out the teachers with their papers or cleaning their classrooms so no one saw him skate in the morning. In the afternoon, he usually had permission to leave earlier than the rest of the class due to how congested the halls get. He was always practically out the door when everyone was just getting to their lockers. The only reason Shindou was able to catch him today was because of him staying after class to talk to a teacher for a second about some issues in class he was having. Shindou was usually walking with his friends and talking to them later is what he learned so he left school around the time Izuku stayed until.
Izuku decided to let this event pass. Nothing else would happen, he couldn't let himself get too worked up over it.
---
Izuku started to rummage through his locker more frantically as the moments passed.
He couldn't find them.
He couldn't find his skates.
Each second that passed with him not seeing them his breathing picked up in a panic. He stepped back from his locker a bit, everything suddenly felt too much. He dug his palms onto both sides of his eyes trying to recollect himself but to no avail he ended up sitting on the ground as he began to cry. He didn't know what to do. He couldn't help but completely shut down. He didn't care about the stares that were on him as this happened. All he cared about was the fact his skates were gone.
Everything continued to push him down until he got pure silence all around him. He uncovered his eyes and looked up at his teacher, Mr.Aizawa, right in front of him. "My classroom?" He asked, voice quiet. Izuku looked at him for a long moment, focusing from him to the now empty halls to anything he could pull his focus to.
"I.."
"Take your time." Aizawa, shook his head, sitting down next to him.
"Skates..my.."
"Shh..give yourself time." Izuku let his breathing even out for awhile. His shaking slowing down and he was less zoned out. He frowned, hugging his knees to his chest. "S-Sorry.." "No need, Midoriya. Head on to my classroom. I'll bring you tea from the teachers lounge. You can take the blanket out of my drawer if you need to, might help with compression." He told him, standing up, holding his hand out for Izuku to take.
Izuku looked at his hand for a second before shakily taking it, letting him pull him up. "Take it easy, we'll talk in a little." He told him to which Izuku nodded and made his way to his classroom.
--
"So, what happened? Take your time.." Aizawa asked him, passing over the tea. Izuku thanked him, hugging the blanket closer to him as he sat on a desk. He looked down at his lap before frowning more, "I...my skates.. They're not..in my locker.."
Aizawa nodded, "Alright, we'll look for them. Do you have any idea what could have happened?" Izuku shook his head, his hands shaking, "N-No...and...and I'm sorry if this seems dramatic...those...skates are just really special to me...they're the last thing I got from Kacchan and-"
"Izuku.. It's alright, you don't need to explain yourself to me. I understand." Aizawa whispered to him, "Let me know when you're okay to start looking." Izuku nodded, sipping on the tea. "C-Can you let my mom know I'll be late coming home...so she doesn't worry?"
Aizawa nodded, "Already ahead of you, called her while in the lounge."
"Thank you.." Izuku finished up the tea before they began walking around the school looking for his skates.
They checked everywhere. They checked each classroom, the cafeteria, everyone's locker and they came up with nothing. They asked around, the other teachers said they hadn't heard much. Well, until they got to Mr. Yamada.
"Your skates are missing lil man? Shit, I'm sorry about that." He ruffled Izuku's hair.
"We're still on school grounds, keep the swearing to a minimum." Aizawa sighed, "But have you seen anything? A student perhaps leaving class early?" He asked him. Yamada hummed as he thought about it for a moment, "Well, Yo Shindou left class early. So did Tatami Nakagame. They said they were going to the nurse though. Nakagame wasn't feeling good and he offered to take her." He shrugged, "So I didn't think much of it."
Izuku froze up and his blood ran cold as he looked back at the door. "N-No.." Both teachers looked at him, Aizawa gently placed a hand on his shoulder. "What's wrong?"
"I..I don't...he couldn't have.." Izuku started to walk to the door which had both teachers following him. "He's the only one that left class at some point.." He whispered, his walking picking up frantically.
"Izuku.. Where are we going?" Aizawa asked him. "O-Outside.." They let his mind work as they rushed around, looking everywhere. They looked around the pool, the track, the trash. The final spot they looked was the gardening club area.
Nakagame was in the gardening club.
Today they weren't meeting so they weren't interrupting anything thankfully. Izuku looked in every single spot of the huge field. Aizawa and Yamada looked in other areas as well. They happened to come upon an area right in the corner that was almost hidden if not for the fact that it looked...strange. Yamada called Izuku over to the area and once he got over there his eyes widened. "S-Shovel...please..." Aizawa nodded, walking off to get one out of the shed.
Yamada looked at Izuku who shook some, "If they're here we can make sure there's repercussions for what they did lil man. These skates mean a lot to you, they weren't theirs to mess with." Izuku gave him a small smile. "Thank you, Mr. Yamada.." He whispered.
Aizawa came back with the shovel and handed it off to Yamada to start shoveling to which he did so. Izuku watched the hole become more and more uncovered until he saw them.
His skates.
Buried and beat up.
Izuku looked at them for a moment before shakily sitting on his knees and grabbing them as he teared up. They had some rips and tears in them now as well as unusable wheels. The insoles were ripped up and one of the skates' plates was partly off. They were overall ruined.
Izuku started to cry hard, hugging them close to him. His skates were ruined. His boyfriend helped ruin them. He kept repeating that to himself as he cried. He still had more time with them. Kacchan would be so disappointed that he let this happen..
---
"Here. Open it." Katsuki passed a box over to Izuku, his face having a light dust of pink on it. Izuku looked at the present before starting to unwrap it. Once it was unwrapped he opened the box underneath it and gasped, looking inside it.
"K-Kacchan..you.." "You have some room to grow into them. Those will probably last you some years.. You like your stupid red shoes so much so...I thought.. Maybe if your skates looked like them too you'd like them more." Katsuki explained, still not meeting his gaze.
Izuku teared up looking from both him and the skates before setting the box aside and wrapping his arms around him. "T-Thank you! Thank you so much Kacchan!" Izuku cried. "Oi! Who said you could cry in my shirt dumbass?!" He yelled but Izuku didn't miss how he slowly wrapped his own arms around him, relaxing in his hold. "Thank you.. I'm going to cherish these forever.."
"Look at them whenever you start to miss me too much nerd."
---
These were those same skates. Right before Katsuki moved away officially he gave him these. He wore these after he outgrew his previous skates right when he finished middle school. Katsuki had already been gone for a year at this point. Katsuki picked the perfect size for him...He still had room to grow into these ones. They could have probably lasted until he finished highschool. But now here he sat on the ground hugging those skates to his chest, his heart breaking as he cried in pain. He cried until he couldn't cry anymore.
Aizawa and Yamada walked him back inside the school to grab his things and they ended up driving him home. He looked like he didn't have the energy to walk back home. Izuku thanked them quietly and made his way into his house. His mother hugged him upon seeing his ruined skates and his saddened expression. She told him they wouldn't be able to get him another pair for awhile. They just didn't have the money for it. She promised the moment she could set aside money she would get him a new pair. He was happy that she was willing to go out her way but..
It wasn't ever going to be the same. These skates were special because they were from Kacchan. Now he had no way of seeing or contacting him. Now when he looked at the skates he'd think of Kacchan but he'd also think about how his boyfriend ruined them. He went to wash the dirt on them so he could still hold onto them. He couldn't bring himself to get rid of them. They were too special. He ended up blocking Shindou's number after this happened.
He knew he didn't like his hobby but did he have to go so far?
What better was he than the rest of the people who talked about his hobby negatively. He just didn't understand.
--
-3 years later-
Izuku hummed as he drove his way to a new skatepark that opened up. It was a little farther from where he lived, about a half an hour drive. However, this was the closest one to where he lived now that the other he used to go to closed down and got turned into something else. He ended up getting a job and helping his mom pay for a lot of things. This helped and he went halfsies with her for new skates.
They weren't at all like his old ones but, he was still happy about them. He was sad about the time he couldn't skate. It took so long. He missed it so much.
He only got his skates a couple months ago. That's when he found out the place he usually went to was going to be shut down in a month or so. He was upset but spent as much time as he could there. Now it was gone and now he made his way into the new skatepark. He saw a plenty amount of people, all clearly happy about this new park.
He walked to a more empty area and sat on a bench, putting his skates on. Once he tied them up all nice and snug he stood up and started to skate. He had some new tricks he wanted to try out and this was the perfect opportunity. He got compliments on his skating from people who passed by. He thanked them happily and continued to skate. After awhile he accidentally took a stumble and was going to get back up, shrugging it off, before being pushed back down by someone.
"Oops! Sorry poser!" This was followed by laughter from a group of people. Izuku looked up at them all slowly before shaking his head, "Look...I'm not trying to cause any harm, I just want to-" "Do the easiest fucking thing here? You know this takes no skill right?" Another one of the people laughed. "Boarders only dumbass, go back to the roller rink where all the babies go!"
"Look. We want this area, you're gonna take your ass back home for us, alright? Sound fun?" Izuku scoot back a bit, starting to shake a bit. "I...I'm sorry...I didn't mean to cause trouble.."
"Well ya did! Come on! Leave punk!" "Yeah leave!" They all started to chant for him to leave and Izuku went to cover his ears as he tried not to cry until a voice rung out.
"The true posers are you assholes. Get the fuck out and leave him alone!" Izuku opened his eyes and watched the crowd run off, clearly scared to get told off again if they didn't. He took some deep breaths, letting himself calm down while going to try and stand up again. "Hey-take it easy, are you oka—" The voice, more soft, made Izuku look up in shock, and gasp quietly.
"Deku..?"
"Kacchan?.."

Izuku and Katsuki looked at one another for a long moment, neither of them saying anything due to the pure shock that ran through them. Izuku had it running through his head that this was too good to be true. He had to be dreaming. There was no way Katsuki was right here.
But the moment Katsuki held his hand out for him to take and he felt the warmth of their connected hands he knew this was real.
Kacchan.
Kacchan was here.
After so long he was here and he still remembered him. "Let's go sit down." Katsuki told him, kicking his skateboard up and holding onto it with his free hand and pulling Izuku over to a free bench. Izuku blushed looking at their hands. It still felt too good to be true. They sat down in silence for a moment before Katsuki first spoke up.
"I'm...pretty surprise you're here. You still live where you used to right? That's far from here.." He told him. "Though, I guess we both drove a fair amount to make it here." Izuku tilted his head confused, "What do you mean?"
"Where we are now there isn't any skateparks." He sighed, "This was the closest one." Izuku frowned, "The park we used to go to shut down not too long ago.." He told him. "So I guess we're kinda in the same boat."
"What? That place shut down? That's shit!" Katsuki shook his head. "Why?" "They're gonna turn it into something else." Izuku sighed. "God...I was planning on going back there at some point.." Katsuki slumped, "Though, I guess the reason I was going to made its way here, so."
Izuku blushed, starting to play with his hands. "S-So...how are you? What have you been up to?" Katsuki shrugged, "I've been alright. Through the years I just went to school, kept to myself as much as I could. Didn't stop some dumbasses from clinging to me but it's whatever."
Katsuku sighed before looking over at him. "What's been up with you? Hows it been since I left?...Where are your skates? Did you outgrow them?" He pointed towards the new skates he was wearing. Izuku froze up at the question, thinking back to that day they got ruined.
"I..I..don't...I.." He stammered over his words, looking at him in fear. He was going to be mad. He was going to be disappointed. He was going to ridicule him just like everyone else has. He- "Hey..hey..is it a sensitive topic? Look..we don't have to talk about it right now.." Katsuki looked at him so softly as he held his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Whatever happened, I'm here to listen to it.." He told him. Izuku relaxed at how soft and tender his voice was. He'd always cared so much about his feelings.
"T-Thank you, Kacchan...I-I'm sorry...I just..so much has happened.. It's been bad without you.." He whispered, shaking his head. "I..I don't want to tell you here...but...I will tell you eventually.." Katsuki nodded, looking him up and down, "Well, for a topic change...you changed. You look good." Izuku instantly blushed, going to try and hide his face, "K-Kacchan you can't just...admit that!" He whined. "Why not? It's true nerd."
"Kacchan!" He whined more before taking a breath, "You also look really good...but I g-guess you always have.." "You trying to one up my compliment huh?!" Katsuki teased, wrapping his arm around him, ruffling his hair making him laugh.
"K-Kacchan!" He wheezed, trying to get out of his hold. "Of course n-not!! Kacchan number one!" He smiled wide. "Damn right I am." He said, letting go of him before standing up. "C'mon, let's see if you can keep up, nerd." He hummed, stepping on his board.
"I dunno, maybe you'll have to keep up with me, Kacchan." He gave him a determined expression as he stood up. "I doubt that." Izuku grinned at him before beginning to skate off, Katsuki following close. They ended up laughing and talking as they skated; Katsuki showing off new tricks along with Izuku.
As the sun started to set over the horizon they decided it was time to pack it up and head home. "I..I just got you back again...I don't really want to leave.." Izuku whispered.
Katsuki sighed, reaching into his pocket and taking out his phone, "Here, put your number in. We can plan meeting up here." He told him, passing it over. Izuku blushed as he took his phone, taking note of a photo of them as kids as his lock screen as he made his way to add his info in. "Make sure you text me!" Izuku passed the phone back over. "Or I'll have to find you myself." "Not complaining about that, Deku." Katsuki ruffled his hair again. "Take it easy. I'll text you when I get home. Say hi to auntie for me."
He nodded with a big smile, picking up his skates. "Ditto!" He giggled. They went their separate ways. The moment Izuku got in the car he ran his hands over his face, feeling the heat on his cheeks. He didn't realize he'd still feel this way. Katsuki treats him so well though, how could he not? Izuku laid in bed, happily texting Katsuki later in the night. They talked about everything and anything. They planned to meet up again same day next week.
They ended up video calling a few days later at Izuku's request. He missed Katsuki's voice and face anD him in general. This was when Izuku ended up telling him about everything that happened after he left. He told him about how bullied he got. He told him about Shindou. He told him about his skates. He still had them and ended up just showing them to him as well. He was shocked at the treatment that Izuku received. He wished he could have been there to fight off everyone for him. Izuku didn't deserve that treatment.
He found himself going to the skateshop he now frequented asking about custom skates like he did when he was younger.
---
"Mom! We have to get Izuku a gift!" "What? For what? His birthday isn't for another few months." "Just because! He's upset that I'm leaving! I just.. I-I want to give him something!" The young Katsuki argued with his mother while his cheeks had a dust of pink on them. Mitsuki looked down at her son and sighed happily, smiling softly. "Alright. What do you have in mind, kid."
It took some weeks for the skates to be finished up. They were custom made after all. It was just in time for Katsuki to give them to Izuku though. They were a lot and he used his birthday money to help pay for it but it was worth it. It was worth it for the look Izuku gave him.
---
Katsuki was devastated to find out what Izuku's ex did to those same skates. He must've known the sentimental value of them since he was told Izuku talked about them a lot to his teachers. It'd be unreasonable if he didn't tell the person he was supposedly closest to.
Seeing Izuku cry about it even after so long broke Katsuki's heart. He wanted to find this Shindou and give him a piece of his mind.
How could you have someone like Izuku and treat him like that?
Katsuki just shook those thoughts away as he paid for the custom skates. He made sure to add some more details that he didn't think about when he was younger. They'd be ready in about a couple weeks. Katsuki thanked the worker before heading out, skating back home as he received a call from Izuku. He immediately answered it and let Izuku's heavenly voice fill his ears.
Yeah, he missed this a lot.
--
"These are all your designs?" Izuku gasped, looking at the skate decks that hung on Katsuki's wall.
"Yeah, all the designs I saw weren't my style so I had to figure it out myself. These are all the ones I outgrew. My current board is my favorite design." He pointed at his board leaning against the wall.
Izuku looked up at him with that look of awe he only gave Katsuki. It made his heart flutter as he drifted his gaze away, his cheeks heating up. "You're so talented, Kacchan! I'm so glad you brought me here!" Izuku giggled, looking at all his merch as well.
"Oo! You still play the drums?" He asked, sitting down at his drum set. "Of course, not as much anymore but it's still apart of me." Katsuki chuckled at how excited he was. It had only been a week and a half since they reconnected and Katsuki invited him to show him around where he lives now. Izuku loved seeing the city but liked being in the quiet confines of Katsuki's room more. Izuku started trying to play the drums which mostly consisted of him hitting everything randomly.
"Am...I doing it?" He looked up at him. Katsuki chuckled, walking around to stand behind him. "I won't say you're not but here. Let's try a simple beat." He leaned down and gently fixed the way he was holding the drum sticks and held onto his hands.
"This fine?" Katsuki asked but Izuku was silent at their close proximity. He blushed feeling the heat of him radiate off of him and sink into himself. He slowly nodded trying to keep focus on what Katsuki was teaching him. "So, you hit this part with this hand consistently.. Then with this one once then twice depending on the beat you're landing on." He moved his hands starting to make him drum. "Then with your foot, hit the pedal for me, alright?"
Izuku did as told and all the while he blushed more. "Perfect. See you're getting it." Katsuki smiled, chuckling quietly. "I'm gonna let go, alright? Think you got it?" He asked softly. Izuku nodded, "Y-Yeah." Katsuki let go allowing Izuku to play by himself. "There you go! Fuck, you're a natural!" Katsuki laughed. Izuku giggled as he continued for a moment more before going off the reins again and hitting random things.
"Deku!" He reached out to grab the sticks from him. "No! You can't stop me! I'm your guest!!" He leaned back with the sticks making Katsuki reached more. "Guest my ass! Give me my sticks!" Izuku stuck his tongue out at him moving his sticks out of his reach every time he got remotely close to grabbing them. Katsuki groaned before wrapping his arms around him, picking him up from behind and shaking him. "My drum set not yours!" "K-Kacchan! Put me down!!" Izuku laughed, hitting his arms gently.
"Not until you put my sticks down Deku!" Izuku laughed more continuing to hold onto his sticks which made Katsuki start trying to grab them again. He ended up losing his footing as he did so, unable to catch on anything which sent both of them tumbling to the ground.
They laid there, breathing heavily before bursting into laughter again. "You can have your s-sticks back." Izuku smiled. "Fucking better give them back, bastard." Katsuki teased. They spent the rest of the night like this, teasing and taunting one another. The time passed faster than they liked and Izuku had to go back home. Katsuki sighed, walking him to the door. "I'm coming to see you next week, got it?" Izuku smiled, "Alright Kacchan. Do you want to go skating this weekend? I kinda want to learn how to skateboard...you taught me how to roller skate so.. I wanna learn your thing.." He blushed. Katsuki followed suit, his own face heating up. "Y-Yeah we can. I'd be happy to teach you."
Izuku nodded and hugged him tightly, "Thank you. I'll text you when I get home!" He said, waving. "Bye!" Katsuki waved at him, watching him leave before his mom came up from behind him.
"Why don't you just confess already, brat?"
"Shut up!... I'm getting there.."
--
Izuku hissed in pain at the scratch he got on his knee. "Shit.." "You okay?" "Y-Yeah..I'll shake it off I-" But Katsuki was already reaching into his bag, grabbing an alcohol pad and a big band aid. They'd been at the skatepark for a few hours, it all being dedicated to Izuku learning how to skateboard and this was the first bad tumble Izuku made. "Here.. It's...gonna hurt, take a deep breath." Katsuki told him softly before wiping the area clean. Izuku breathed in sharply through his teeth at the pain.
"Sorry..sorry..trying to make it hurt less...though I guess you've always had a harsher reaction to this part.." Katsuki chuckled, finishing up. "I guess some things never change.." Izuku giggled, taking deep breaths as Katsuki put the band aid on his knee. "Good as new. Do you want to take a break?" He asked, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "No break! Lets keep going. Thank you for patching me up, Kacchan.." Izuku smiled, both of them blushing.
They skated for a few more hours before decided to pack it up for the day. Katsuki walked Izuku to his car before taking a deep breath. "Next week.. I'm coming over, be prepared. Izuku quickly nodded, "Of course! Oh, I can't wait I'll tell my mom! She'll be happy to see you. Do you just want to hangout?" "That'll be perfect."
--
Izuku fixed his hair for the umpteenth time that day. Katsuki was going to be there soon, he needed to make sure everything, including himself, was perfect. He made sure there were snacks and drinks and that his room was clean and of course that there was no issue with Katsuki actually coming over. Inko was ecstatic to hear Katsuki was coming over, happy to get a chance to see him and speak to him again. Though, she of course promised to give the two of them space.
Izuku continued to look around, making sure everything was fine before hearing the doorbell ring. He jumped before smiling excitedly and rushing out of his room. He watched his mother already answer the door and went up to stand by her.
"Auntie, Nerd." Katsuki greeted, giving Inko a hug with his free hand. "Oh Katsuki! How you've grown, it's so good to see you again. You boys have fun alright?" She smiled happily at the two of them. Izuku nodded, "Thank you, we will!" He smiled, noticing the box in Katsuki's arms. He tilted his head in confusion but led Katsuki to his room.
Once they got there Katsuki set the box down and engulfed Izuku in a hug. Izuku blushed and instantly hugged back. "It's for you. I want you to open it, I have something to ask you after." "Right now? Really?" Izuku questioned. "Well, I saw you looking so better now than later." Katsuki chuckled, letting go of him. "Sit down? On the floor?" He hummed, grabbing the box. Izuku nodded, sitting down and watched Katsuki do the same.
It reminded him of when they were kids. A perfectly good bed was right behind Izuku but here they sat on the fuzzy carpet that replicated the one from when he was younger. He smiled up at Katsuki, his heart beating fast unexplainably. "Open it. Spare any words until after I'm done talking though, okay?" Katsuki passed the wrapped box over to him. Izuku watched him start to mess with the fuzzies on the carpet.
He did the same thing before when he gifted him before he left. Izuku giggled as he looked down at the box, "Did I miss something? I hope not." He hummed, starting to unwrap it. "Nothing. Just, you'll understand when I start talking nerd! Quit yammering!"
Izuku laughed and nodded, tossing the wrapping paper to the side before running his hand along the top of the box. He took a deep breath before opening it. What was inside made him gasp and look at Katsuki silently and in shock.
"You're already quiet. That's good. Keep it like that. I'm gonna talk a bit." Katsuki took his own deep breath and looked in Izuku's eyes. "Izuku. You...have no idea how much I missed you through all these years...I used to beg the ol' hag to just drive back here. Just for the chance of seeing you..even if it was just for a few minutes or even in passing..I...Did you know I cried when she told us we had to move?" He whispered quietly. "It was the hardest I cried..ever..I..I couldn't imagine my life without you still in it...and—fuck, I still can't imagine not seeing you for more than a couple weeks. I was constantly wishing just for..an ounce of hope. That's all I wanted..I made new friends..but they weren't you."
Izuku was already starting to tear up as he listening to him.
"No one could ever be..as amazing as you..and..when..when you told me about your ex..I..It all came to me harder than it had before that..I...you deserve someone that will make you happy..and Izuku." Katsuki gently took his hands into his own, squeezing them. "I..I want to be that one to make you happy..I want to show you what it's truly like to be loved...I've liked you for so long and I want to shoot my shot now. You're free to reject this if you're still scared but Izuku. I love you, and I want to be your special someone."
Katsuki had a fearful expression on his face but he didn't lose his eye contact with Izuku as he was determined to speak his truth to him. He's kept these feelings to himself for so long and he needed to know. He needed to tell him now. Now or never. "So..what do you say?"
Izuku felt the warm tears start to flow down his face as he looked down at the custom skates that looked just like the ones Katsuki had gave to him so long ago. They were so similar yet so different than the previous ones.
He couldn't even think about Shindou when looking at these ones. All he could think about was his answer to Katsuki as he jumped into his arms, crying into his shirt as he hugged him tightly.
"Of course, Kacchan.."

A Different Kind of Danger [BKDK]
Omegaverse A/B/O
A!Doctor!Bakugou x O!Yakuza Boss!Izuku
Cw: blood, violence, injury, weapons, murder
---
Katsuki sighed as his shift at the hospital ended and he finally got the chance to head home. It had been a grueling 12 hour shift and it felt like everyone somehow was managing to get hurt in the worst ways possible. Way more than usual.
He watched the clock closely while he typed into the computer some notes for himself and things for patients he took care of earlier.
Once that clock hit 12 am, he was free.
He barely got much sleep the night before so he was lucky to have himself a day off the moment he stepped foot out of the hospital. Slinging his bag closer to himself he started his walk back home.
His house was only about a block away, he got somewhere that was close enough so he wouldn't have to drive everyday to work while being in the middle of all the good food spots and stores.
It was no wonder why the price tag on that house was so high.
He just let the cool autumn air hit his skin practically dreaming about the warm shower he would be able to take and the long nap he would be engulfed in when he got home.
Or so he thought he'd get.
No, a doctor's job is never done even when they aren't in their hospital.
So when he passed by an alleyway that he normally didn't pass by, only changing things up because of the construction that had started at some point during the day, he saw the figure of someone in the alley.
Now there was 2 things he kept in mind once he got his degree.
1. He couldn't save everyone.
2. Saving someone might cause him his life.
He was currently staring at the figure remembering his second note but he couldn't help the distressed scent that came from within drawing him in. It was an omega he could tell very easily.
But what he couldn't tell was what exactly was wrong.
The more his eyes focused and the cars that passed by that illuminated light into the alley for split seconds the more he could notice.
The way the omega was breathing heavily and was slightly slouched.
And the slight traces and smell of fresh blood.
Was the omega hurt? Does he say something? The omega is still standing...but is still in distress.
He didn't have much time to think about that though as the omega leaned slightly back before turning their head towards Katsuki.
"I can hear you, you know. What do you think you're doing?" The male voice asked. Male omegas were rare so Katsuki's eyes slightly widened upon hearing him.
"I smell the blood and distress coming right off you. If you're trying to not be noticed you're doing a poor job at it."
Katsuki watched as the man turned around more and took some steps forward as he chuckled quietly. "Are you scared? Worried? I can't tell with you...I usually can."
"Yeah, that's the power of scent blockers and suppressants working their magic. You should invest."
"You're funny. I could be coming over to kill you next and you still have such a sharp tongue with me" The omega fully stepped out from the shadows and Katsuki got a good look at him.
His hair was a curly mess–well, overall he was kinda messy. Probably from whatever he just went through. His eyes were slightly in a daze but Katsuki could still see the dull green that hid behind his expression. His eyes matched his hair in the green aspect but his hair was slightly matted and clearly had some blood whether it was dry or not was hard to fully make out.
He wore a black blouse that showed off his arms and was slightly unbuttoned to show his collar. His body was covered in scars, some worse that others but one of his arms had a full sleeve of tattoos that reached up to his neck that covered up some.
His blouse, however, along with the pants he wore, white bell bottoms that he wore were drenched in blood, some spots were brighter than the others showing the age of the blood.
Katsuki looked over his body, he wasn't dainty, quite the opposite actually, he packed muscles that matched Katsuki's own. Hell, he'd say they were even tougher looking. His outfit said quite the opposite than his figure, so he was confused on why he was so dressed up.
Though those questions would have to wait, however as the omega looked at Katsuki, taking in his features as well and went to talk to him again but quickly went to hold his side as he hissed in pain.
"F-Fuck.. Adrenaline wore off.." He chuckled quietly through his teeth. Katsuki sprung into action, not even thinking, just turning on his doctor brain for this guy even though he openly admitted to killing as he gently grabbed a hold of his wrist to pull his hand back.
"Let me see." The guy had a glint in his eye that screamed death that would make anyone stay at least 50 feet away from him but Katsuki stood his ground.
"Let me see. I'm not going to hurt you nor say anything. Just let me see."
The man's glint slowly turned into a look of pain as he relaxed and let Katsuki take a look at his side. From first glance you couldn't have tell that there was a wound there, a deep one at that.
But as Katsuki lifted up the side of his blouse he saw the deep gash there. It was crazy to him that this man was even still standing and talking and even walking. "How long ago did this happen?" Katsuki asked pulling back for a second to look through his bag.
"Shit...I.. I'm not sure...I guess I kinda blacked out there the entire time.. Once that fucker was d-dead I noticed that was there. He must have got me with a knife or something.. It's no big deal, I can walk it.....off..." His words trailed off as he watched Katsuki bring out compression bandages and wrap them around his torso before sighing. "My place isn't that far.. I have medical supplies there.. You need stitches now."
"You think I'm just going to let you take me to your house? Absolutely n-"
--
The man held an arm over his eyes as he let Katsuki stitch up his wound. He didn't make a sound, he looked just tired honestly, and before he knew it Katsuki was done with the stitches and bandaged them up.
"That was the quickest stitches I've ever got.. And they're really neat..hm." The man hummed impressed.
"..A doctor helping some random person in pain...a random person who just killed someone in an alley. You aren't afraid of that?"
"Threatened too many times to be phased honestly."
"Yeesh, doctor life sounds rough." The air filled with silence for awhile as Katsuki packaged back all he had into their respective spots until the man spoke again. "Thank you.. What's your name?"
"Katsuki. You?"
"...I have a feeling you'll find out one day. I better go, my lieutenants are probably worried why I haven't returned."
Katsuki looked the man up and down before chuckling. "Normally I'd suggest not moving at all right now, but, you seem like you can take it." The man smiled at him before he started to walk to the door. "Not many people would do what you did." He hummed quietly. "For that I'm in your debt." He said before he walked out of the house.
Katsuki sighed, watching the man leave. He didn't have a story, he didn't have details, yet he let in someone who was bloodied in not just his own blood but also someone else's.
He let in a murderer.
Yet, he didn't feel weird about it.
The omega, while strong, yes, couldn't mask the pain he was in. The pain of betrayal and heartbreak. Maybe he went feral? Maybe that was just him naturally. What he didn't know wouldn't hurt him.
But what he wanted to know could possibly.
--
Katsuki spent his day off mostly inside. He couldn't be bothered to use more energy than he needed to. Energy that could be stored for his shift tomorrow. He was still on call, sure, so his day off could be cut short.
But he didn't want to think about that so he just laid about, mostly sleeping but watching movies. The one time he decided to go out that day was when it was around dinner time. He decided to order food and bring it back home.
He hasn't been able to eat at the place in awhile so, it was like his treat for getting through as much as he had.
Yet, a thing he tends to forget about is how dangerous his area of living is.
So when someone came up behind him, holding a knife to his neck, demanding everything he had on him. He let out an exasperated sigh and jabbed the perpetrator in the stomach and twisted his arm around.
The person groaned in pain as they dropped the knife, giving Katsuki the in to push them down to the ground and step on their wrist. He was about to let go and tell them to run off and leave him alone but a giggle came from behind, catching him off guard.
"Got yourself under control?" Katsuki looked back at the green haired omega before looking back down at the thug who looked like they've seen a ghost.
"You know you're not supposed to be doing things like this in this area, silly." He said to the thug, walking closer.
"M-Midoriya..I..I'm sorry..my..my boss was going to kill me if I didn't get s-something for him. I'm so-"
"So this is your boss' doing, hm?"
He said before snapping. Katsuki was confused until a couple of people came out from behind him, making him jump. A brown haired omega and a blue haired alpha. They quickly took a hold of the thug on the ground and looked at..Midoriya.
"The warehouse? You want us to get ahold of his boss too?" Midoriya thought for a moment, humming quietly. "Leave the boss to me, kay? Anyone can take care of him there. I have something to take care of."
He said, looking back at Katsuki. The two of them nodded and dragged the thug off leaving Katsuki and Midoriya to their own devices.
"Just..what..are you?" Katsuki asked, confused. "Let's go get your food, alright Kacchan?" Midoriya said, starting to walk in that direction.
"How do you-"
"You'll get those answers eventually."
Katsuki was unsure whether or not to just leave it be but in the end he just nodded and quit trying to ask him questions.
Midoriya was clearly someone to not mess with, not that he wished to.
--
It was strange. Katsuki would run into Midoriya then go a week without seeing him again. Most times that he saw him was by complete accident. Katsuki couldn't say he was complaining and everytime he saw him he just felt like he got closer to him.
It was probably what had brought Midoriya to be waiting for him outside of the hospital he worked at after his shift with a grin.
"Wanna find out everything?"
-
Izuku, Katsuki came to learn, brought him to his place of work while starting to explain some things. "Izuku Yagi, to be exact. Head of the Yagi clan. I run everything alongside my father."
Katsuki listened as he spoke, curious of what this would lead to. "The day you patched me up was the day I found out my alpha was actually out to kill me rather than be with me. It was arranged, but.." He trailed off, looking out the window. "I guess I started to actually feel something for him towards the end there." He sighed.
"I shouldn't drag you so deep into this, but.. You patching me up meant a lot.." He hummed. "Plus you looked so miserable. No offence. Thought we could spice your life up a bit." He winked.
Katsuki chuckled quietly, rolling his sleeves up. "Spice?" He hummed, looking at Izuku. "Who says there's not already spice in my life." Izuku's eyes widened as he looked down at the sleeves of tattoos he had on his arms before a grin appeared on his face.
"Katsuki. Katsuki Bakugou." He held his hand out. "My clan isn't situated in this area, we're actually quite far. So I don't blame you for no recognition. Its been getting kinda boring..yet when you came in my life that rush was back." He smirked.
"So what do you do right now?"
"We've been wanting to expand while situating a name here. I already had a medical degree and with my work there I'm already renowned as the best in this hospital here. While I do that, I do distant work, looking for people to work with."
Izuku clapped his hands happily. "Oh, Kacchan! You should have told me sooner! Oh, I can't wait to introduce you to everyone." Izuku sighed happily learning more about Katsuki as Katsuki did with Izuku.
They walked around the halls where many people worked in their building, everyone bowing a head at Izuku as he passed by. It was rare to have an omega be a clan leader and be respected as much as Izuku was. Yet everyone here treated him like a force not to mess with. It made sense, Katsuki was strong, stronger than average.
Yet Izuku could kill someone with the flick of his wrist.
He could get even the biggest of alphas to kneel out of command with his words. Katsuki admired his strength.
"Dad! I brought someone back!" Izuku giggled, running into a room.
Toshinori looked at Katsuki, instantly noticing his tattoos and smiled warmly. "Welcome. You must be the 'Kacchan' my son has been talking about." Katsuki looked towards Izuku who had a light blush on his cheeks. "That would be me, sir."
Toshinori walked towards him and held his hand out for him.
"Which?"
"Bakugou." He shook his hand. He nodded, "The way you treat my son according to him is admirable. Not many see him past his secondary gender. You have my respect." He told him honestly.
Katsuki prided himself in the instant respect he gained from what seemed like such an influential force. He bowed his head before looking back at Izuku.
"Your son is the strongest person I've ever met. Thank you for allowing me to stay in his life."
Izuku looked at Katsuki, a glint in his eye that just showed care...and love. The time they've spent together, though not long, has meant a lot to him. The way Katsuki treats him, the way he has the most fun teasing him, the way Katsuki just allowed him into his life.
That's why when later, when they were being driven back to Katsuki's place Izuku looked over at him and began to speak.
"To repay you for helping me out, what can I give you?" He asked.
"Just your presence is enough." Katsuki answered, looking out the window.
"C'mon, there's gotta be something!" He shook his shoulder. Katsuki chuckled and finally met his gaze.
"You wanna know what I honestly want?" Izuku nodded rapidly, listening intently. "The chance to court you. That's what I really want."
Izuku blushed and smiled softly, his heart feeling like it would thud out of his chest.
"I guess today made me realize the way you make me feel. It would be an honor to be your alpha." Katsuki had a determined look in his eye. Izuku let out a happy scent and nodded gently laying his head on his shoulder. "It would be an honor, Kacchan, but know that I'm no pushover." "
I'm willing to work as hard as I need to for you."
"Then it's settled."

The Wicked Witch and A Prince [BKDK]
BKDK Angst
CW: Blood, Violence, Discrimination, Death Mention, Hurt, Weapons, Kidnapping, Friends -> "Enemies" -> Lovers
__
Izuku ran through the forest, panting heavily, tripping over sticks and his own feet yet not stopping for a second.
The people that chased him weren't giving up for a second and he needed to find a place where he could just breathe. All he wanted to do was find some plants and berries that he could use for a potion he needed for his mother.
But he found himself at the verge of death if he stopped for even a second while he ran from people holding knives and bows ready to put him 6 feet under the moment they got the chance. He used what he could to keep himself going, a speed spell, a transformation spell, an energy spell, anything he could use. His stamina still continued to dwindle along with his energy to keep using spells.
Was he going to die here in the middle of the forest with no one to even remember who he was? Well, one person would.
But that person belonged to the kingdom that wished to see his demise.
Izuku continued to run until he saw a cave in the distance. He looked behind him and made sure the people chasing him were far enough and used a spell to teleport in. He panted heavily, hearing the way the people yelled in confusion on where he went. Their voices quieted down and they decided to just leave it and head back home leaving Izuku to sit on the ground and run his fingers through his hair.
He felt sick, every bone in his body ached. He had no more energy to move now that the adrenaline had worn off.
It hurt.
His life hurt. Did Kacchan still hate him? To think that he did hurt him more.
He thinks about the day everything happened constantly and every time it makes his heart break for the lost of his best friend and the beginning of the distance they would have between them.
--
Izuku smiled as he laid his head on Katsuki's chest, the blond running his fingers through his shorter green curls, a tint of red on both of their chubby faces, looking up at the stars with pure love.
"Kacchan, when you rule over the kingdom you won't forget about me right?"
"What kind of dumb question is that? Of course not, Deku!" Izuku smiled to himself, his heart beating fast in his chest.
He cared so much about him and their friendship. The roles they were supposed to play didn't matter at their young ages, they lived peacefully in bliss.
Izuku thought this would be how it was forever.
Yet when a villager had noticed them in the distance playing around, Izuku letting sparkles flow from his hands and Katsuki smiling softly at him they quickly ran in with a sword in tow. They pulled Katsuki back by the back of his shirt and announced to the town that Izuku was a witch.
"Protect our young Prince!" They said, yelling to the crowd that had formed, not caring about the look that settled on Izuku's face of fear and distraught. "Even if it means burning him at stake. We must protect him."
Even in Izuku's young mind, only 10 at the time, he knew that the way Katsuki looked at him then turned away was his moment to run deep into the forest he came from.
He hadn't looked back since.
--
Izuku finally made his way back home and yelled out for his mom but a response didn't come. He didn't worry yet and assumed she was just sleeping.
She had been ill the past few days, so she's been making sure to take care of her body. So Izuku whipped her up some tea as well as a stew that she would hopefully keep down. He walked the way to her room and slowly opened the door, his heart beating fast.
He didn't want to assume the worst.
He really didn't.
But when he made his way in he realized he wasn't invalid in his worry. He dropped the cup and bowl in his hands, them shattering the moment they reached the ground.
His mother was gone, a note on her bed.
A sinking feeling of dread fell over him as he walked towards it.
---
Izuku kept his face cover with the burlap cloak he had as he walked into the kingdom he never thought he would look at again.
The town looked livelier than he left it 9 years ago. The towns people waved to one another and commerce happily went along no disagreements in sight.
He was happy to see the kingdom again but at the same time he had a sense of melancholy.
He recognized the areas he used to hang out with Katsuki at and all the areas he loved just being in.
He smiled sadly as he grew near his designation.
He took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
---
Katsuki sighed, looking up at his sword on the wall before walking off to meet with his parents for a meeting. He's been a skilled fighter for years, ready to prepare for anything.
But with the memories of a boy he cared deeply for infesting his mind constantly he never wished to bear his own sword.
He was given it years ago and not once has he picked it up in thoughts of his childhood best friend.
He never wanted to leave Deku.
He wanted to spend more time with him.
Now he didn't have a clue where he was due to his stupidity his younger self had. He didn't even defend him when he was being driven out of town.
But who was really going to listen to a kid?
They didn't respect Izuku at the same age, they wouldn't have taken him seriously.
But how he wished for a moment to see his face or feel his green curls in between his calloused fingers again. Or to feel his warmth against him or to feel his pulse on his wrist that reminded him he was there.
But he wouldn't get it again.
So he lived his life normally, just dealing with the pain he felt in his chest for a lost friendship.
He was about to push open the doors to the throne room where his parents were but a yell from down the hall caught his attention.
It was from one of his most trusted and stoic guards in the most panicked voice he's ever heard.
"Prince Katsuki, come quick!" He started. "The villagers! They–They're inciting immolation in the square."
---
Izuku gazed upon the crowd around him, his eyes dull yet glossy on the verge of tears. It was what he had to do, yet he felt so scared about it.
He was being held onto while the towns people prepared a stake just for him.
This was the only way, he had to accept it.
He wished he could have done more. Figured out more. Taken care of his mom more.
Talked to Kacchan one last time.
But as the people kept working his thoughts grew into a whisper, not wishing to think harder on this.
He was so tired.
Maybe this was a good thing?
He sighed as he started to get dragged towards the stake, letting the sounds muffle out.
At least, until he got dropped onto the ground near the base and he listened as even through the muffled mess, everyone grew silent. It must have been destiny. Or even fate. But his eyes widened as he looked up at the familiar spiky blond hair and burning red eyes that looked right down at him. They both looked at one another in shock before Izuku teared up.
It was something he's never felt.
It was something he wouldn't experience again after today. Yet he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
It felt like relief almost? And bliss. A sense of euphoria.
He felt like he was back in that 10 year old body looking up at his childhood friend as he looked back at the witch that laid in fear on the ground. So he spoke before he could even think.
"Kacchan...if I'm going to die, I want it to be at your hands."
Katsuki's face turned more into a shocked one as he shook his head. "I-Izuku...you...how did you get in this mess?"
Izuku thought back at the note he read back home. The one that gave his mother's location and how she would live, even if he didn't.
"I-I guess I never stopped being selfless.." He chuckled quietly without humor. "But please, let me be selfish just this once?"
A guard of Katsuki's stepped forward and held his sword out for him. Katsuki looked between it and the look on Izuku's face.
Katsuki took deep breaths as his mind raced with so much he couldn't even think of correctly.
But a breath he took his hand shook as he gripped the handle of his sword, sharp and shiny showing the way its just sat.
He held the sword and looked at it before looking at Izuku once more.
"I see your hands shaking." He spoke. "Don't worry Kacchan.. I'm happy to die if it meant I got to see you again...and die in the most peaceful way possible."
Katsuki had tilted the sword some and Izuku took a hold of its point and brought it down to his chest.
"It's okay.. I promise."
With all the eyes watching, just like they were on that day, Katsuki felt the fear rush into his chest.
But the moment Izuku let go of his sword was the moment he shook his head and stuck it in the ground in front of both of them.
The crowd gasped as they watched this and watched Katsuki kneel down by Izuku and hold his hand out.
"We have some catching up to do." He said simply. Izuku was equally as shocked but tried his hardest to hide the tears that threatened to fall as he took his hand, allowing himself to be pulled up and to be pulled into Katsuki's arms back to the castle.
---
Izuku and Katsuki talked about everything. Their lives, mostly without the other. How much they've done since forever ago. How much they've grown as people.
Izuku let Katsuki feel his pulse on his wrist while Izuku laid his head on his chest listening to his heartbeat.
It was a long night of emotions. Izuku finally got a good night of rest.
His mother was taken care of by castle workers as he was protected and discussed in the castle.
Katsuki finally introduced Izuku to his parents.
They quickly went into action when Katsuki told them he wanted to make things better for Izuku and others like him. He wasn't going to feel unsafe ever again.
After only so long they finally got the chance to lay under the stars, Izuku laying his head on Katsuki's chest, his fingers, more calloused than before still running through his hair. In the dark of the night they made up for years of missing one another and years of their feeling of longing.
This time, no one could separate them again.
They held hands and shared a sweet kiss under the stars before making their way back to the castle.
Just a Prince and his witch.

[BKDK] Protective!Katsuki x Izuku
//CW: Yelling, Belittling//
Izuku hummed happily as he waved to the secretary and started walking through the halls to get to his husband's office. He told Katsuki he wanted to drop him off some surprises to which he agreed and told him he'd meet him halfway once he got to the office building.
The entire office knew who Izuku was through how important Katsuki was and how often he came to visit.
Well, almost everyone.
As Izuku walked he had looked away admiring the renovations that had happened in the building since last time he was in there. Due to him being distracted he didn't see the office worker walking down the hall the same side as himself and ended up bumping into the man.
On impact he ended up making a mess of the worker's clothes, spilling and dropping the coffee and pastry he was bringing for Katsuki as he himself fell on the ground.
"Ow...o-oh..I'm sorry!" Izuku instantly apologized upon seeing the worker's coffee stained shirt. "Oh my goodness I'm so sorry!! I didn't mean to do that! I..I was just—"
"Not paying attention? Yeah. I think I noticed that." The man hissed, looking down at his shirt.
"I-I can take it to a dry cleaners if you'd like! I really didn't m-mean to have this happen.. This is all on me, I can run out and find you a new shirt or even knew suit if you'd like I'm-"
The worker was not listening to Izuku and cut him off and started blaming him more. "How stupid do you have to be to do something like this?!" Izuku winced at his words, he had already felt terrible about what had happened and was trying to do everything he could to make it up to the man. The man looked down at the pastry in the box and shook his head, stepping on it like it was some bug.
"Oh this is rich! You think some snacks are more important than my job, huh?! What are you gonna tell my boss when I walk in with a messy outfit? There is no room for messes in this building! God, you're so incompetent!"
Izuku broke down hard in sobs, trying to apologize through his harsh words. He knew there wasn't room to mess up here. He didn't mean to bump into him, he was just so happy to be back here. He kept talking to him like he meant to bump into him. This continued until a booming voice came from down the hall stopping both of them in their tracks.
"If he's incompetent you must be the biggest mistake to exist."
Izuku tried wiping his eyes as he watched his husband walk down the hall towards them. "K..Kacchan.." The worker looked worried but attempted to play off what happened by using work.
"M-Mr.Bakugou! Pleasant surprise..I..uh..I was just on my way to the meeting and I just got off the phone w-with—"
"You can forget about that meeting and ever making another fucking phone call under the company's name again." Katsuki hissed, walking past the worker and over to Izuku, ignoring the shocked looked he gave. He kneeled down by him and gently cupped his face, wiping away his tears as he spoke.
"K-Kacchan..Im sorry..I..I didn't mean to do it..I just wanted to surprise you with s-stuff you like and I-"
Katsuku gave him a soft look before pulling him into his chest gently, feeling the way he relaxed in his hold. "Shh..shh... It's okay, Izuku.. It's not your fault we hired a dumbass." Izuku cried in his chest for a moment while he held him close, kissing the top of his head.
"S-Sir..I..Perhaps I didn't..Hear you right..or I just simply don't understand." The worker began to talk making Katsuki sigh quietly. "W-What do you mean I won't make another call for the company..I-I mean..that is my job!"
Katsuki rolled his eyes and gently pulled away from Izuku, kissing his cheek for reassurance. "Oh I'm sorry, was I not clear enough?" Katsuki stood up, looking down at the worker. If looks could kill, he'd be 6 feet under.
"Here. Let me make sure you get it now. You're fired. I want you out in an hour. Take all your shit and leave. The worker sputtered in shock, looking confused and in disbelief.
"B-But ..I..But why Mr.Bakugou?!"
"Well. You had no problem calling my husband dumb and incompetent and all these other things and I'd rather not work with someone who doesn't understand mistakes happen." The worker's eyes widened, "H-Husband..?"
Katsuki showed his hand where a golden band lay on his ring finger. "Of 6 fucking years. So I suggest you get out of here fast. I don't want to see your face around here again." The worker slumped and sadly walked off leaving just Izuku and Katsuki in the hall.
He just fired one of his best employees...for him?
"K-Kacchan..you didn't have to do that..I mean..he was one of your best wasn't he? I mean..I should have paid more attention to what I was doing and where I was going and this is all really my fault and I didn't mind mu-"
"Nerd, stop muttering." Katsuki chuckled, gently holding his hand and pulling him up. He gently kisses his tears away as he looked at him with a loving expression. "And I don't care if you don't mind.. Because I do." Izuku looked at his expression and started giggling quietly, cupping his face. "Stop l-looking at me like that."
"Can't help it, I love you so much." "K-Kacchan!" Izuku giggled more before looking back down at the ground at the pastry and sighing quietly. Katsuki followed his gaze, "Shit, he did that too?"
"Y-Yeah..I'm sorry.."
"No, don't be sorry. It's on one of my dumb workers. Let's go and get coffee and snacks. I'll pay this time."
"But Kacchan!"
"You had your money wasted the first time, let me make that up to you."
"But that wasn't your fault!"
"Still one of my workers. Can't believe I didn't see this sooner."
"Kacchan.." Izuku hummed, holding his hand as they began to walk. "It was just a pastry and coffee..it's okay really.."
"Not just that, it was also from you." Izuku blushed as he happily walked with Katsuki.
In a way, he had to thank that worker for doing what he did. He may have been hurt but at least now he got a fun date with his husband out of it so he was happy.
