Okay 35 episodes in Vrains character ranking: 1. Ghost Gal/Emma. I hate to say it but she slays. Love my queen who absolutely sucks at dueling I'm obsessed with her. She would be me if I had to link into the vrains 2. Playmaker/Yusaku. Autistic king with some of the most consistent and heavy scripting I've seen on a character to the point where I wonder if the whole autistic coding thing is... intentional? Obsessed that he hates everyone. What a guy. 3. Blue Angel/Skye. Sick as hell design, like her arc so far despite the fact that she is a victim of ygo misogyny. She gets more genuine wins than any woman in Jujutsu Kaisen tho, so perhaps I shouldn't complain too much

4. Kolter. The hotdog running gag is kind of annoying imo but I think he's such a fun supporting character and having a character dedicated to helping facilitate the Clark. Kent/Superman thing is really smart and really helps the whole show work.

I've been playing Dragon's Dogma 2 for a few days now and was like "man, they really fucked up pawn behavior once you get into the meat of the game, the pawns I had at the beginning were great, how has every pawn I've gotten since then been a nightmare to deal with, my own included" And it has just come to my attention now that no. It wasn't that the pawn behavior just tanks after the opening. My entire party has had demonsplague. The entire time.

the fucking. pirate ship episode, of Arc-V. it's like episode 115, i think. it is such a funny, baffling episode of yugioh. i rewatched it with my clark tonight and just thinking about the All of it cracks me up. they really busted out some season 1 tier type shenanigans and Platformer Video Game Level Nonsense in the middle of the last season Immediately before shit starts getting Real. Yuya is roller skating up the ropes of a ship. Grievous acts of Yugioh Misogyny are happening. There is EXTREMELY a pirate there. Declan drives a boat. There's silly slapstick humor happening left and right. Crow from Yugioh 5D's is there. All of the line deliveries in the dub are really REALLY funny. i think about this bit constantly

it is such a perplexing episode WHY DID THEY MAKE IT LIKE THAT!!! absolute peak yugioh: confusing, extremely silly, very very funny, somehow an inexplicable stepping stone to a major plot beat. i love it so much

at some point some people simply have so much baggage that it is genuinely so, so hard to pick themselves back up. and that's not a moral failing! what sunday wants to do here is make sure they dont have to get to that point ever.

what he fails to take into account is 'true harmony'- people banding together in order to pick each other up from that point. but he does have a point. humans are selfish. they don't want to pick each other up. so what he wants to do is ensure 'happiness for all'.

'before the moment of despair, remove that which troubles them so they never experience despair' so no one will have to pick each other up. they won't get left behind at the wayside. it won't be on them, but on him to do so.
