                                        THIS IS NOT THE END
As our entrepreneurship subject is coming to its end I just want to say that I was so thankful for the opportunity of letting us innovate ideas and business projects. I’m not yet sure about what the future holds but the door for trying out business and becoming an entrepreneur will always be open. Our pitching was successful and we thank the lessons that we’ve learned from our professor and to the speakers from the lecture series for sharing their knowledge and experiences.
Dr. Gamaliela A. Dumancas gave the first lecture titled "Intellectual Property Rights and Technology Transfer." According to her experience she managed to learn, which would include something generated by the mind, including inventions, creative works, and more. Also, there are four types of intellectual property rights (IP): patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. The purpose of intellectual property rights is to encourage new creations, including technology, artwork, and inventions, that might increase economic growth. Examples of intellectual property include an author’s copyright on a book or article, a distinctive logo design representing a soft drink company and its products. Having a strong and Enforced Intellectual Property Rights Protect Consumers and Families. Strong IP rights help consumers make an educated choice about the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of their purchases. Enforced IP rights ensure products are authentic, and of the high-quality that consumers recognize and expect.
Ms. Krystel Nacua of EHATID gave the second lecture, which focused on her START-UP journey. Ms. Krystel is a multi-talented entrepreneur who has worked in digital design, education, management, sales, and marketing. At the age of 17, she co-founded Luminaris Handicrafts with her brother and went on to open several other business owners. She is currently the Marketing Director and Co-Founder of Ehatid, an online grocery delivery app. During lecture two I was so amazed to know about their start-up journey since we were on the same page with our business. It's just that we offer different services but still we learned a lot from their experience which I’m so happy that she was able to share it with us.
Ms. Keren Happuch Lacadin was the guest speaker for Lecture Series 3. "Resource Generation for Startups" was the topic of her lecture. So many start-ups are occasionally implemented across borders, acknowledging that people are familiar with the technology. During the discussion, she stated that today's entrepreneurs must use digital marketing to grow their businesses or risk falling behind. Balanced personalities among team members were indeed essential for long-term achievement, so each member should have clearly defined roles; businesses could indeed scale without them. Furthermore, before adopting ideas, we must understand the innovation's goal, which should not be solely based on profit, but rather on the value it provides to the general public and its growth. We need to make sure that everything is working towards the same goal.
I’m just so thankful for the opportunity that was given to us to be part of these lecture series which offers so many opportunities for us to learn.

                          OPPORTUNITIES THAT I’M THANKFUL FOR
One of the best thing that ever happened to me this semester is our pitching, I remember it all so well that I was so nervous that day but I trusted my team members that we can do it. We presented our business plan to the whole class with our professor and everything went smoothly. We got to relate with Ms. Krystel Nacua of EHATID testimony about their start-up since our business also provides  a safe avenue that the consumers can use to purchase medicine through an online app that we will provide which is legal, convenient, and ensuring that the privacy of the client will be protected. We will deliver the purchased medicine door-to-door to the client. We also offer better pricing than traditional pharmacy, as well as greater accessibility, lower transaction, product expenditures, and reduce the fear of social interaction for consumers in this time of pandemic.
During our lecture series we were able to discuss different topics from different lecturers which were so fun and they gave us so many insights about the topics. One of the topics that were discussed on lecture one was about the Intellectual property rights are legal rights that provide creators protection for original works, inventions, or the appearance of products, artistic works, scientific developments, and so on. Intellectual property (IP) refers to the ownership of an idea or design by the person who came up with it. It is a term used in property law. It gives a person certain exclusive rights to a distinct type of creative design, meaning that nobody else can copy or reuse that creation without the owner's permission. There are four types of intellectual property rights (IP): patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. The purpose of intellectual property rights is to encourage new creations, including technology, artwork, and inventions, that might increase economic growth. Examples of intellectual property include an author's copyright on a book or article, a distinctive logo design representing a soft drink company and its products.
During the lecture two I was so amazed to know about their start-up journey since we were on the same pages with our business it’s just that we offer different services but still we learned a lot from their experience which I’m so happy that she was able to share it with us. VENTURE PROPOSAL: ONLINE PHARMACY
Tumblr media
Our class was divided into different groups and was tasked to create a venture proposal that will showcase our creativity and potential in innovating projects. First, my team decided to research products or services that we can innovate or make it as our basis or starting point of our ideas. The first option that we had was to offer services like delivering groceries and help the farmers to sell their goods and become the middle man between the producers and consumers but as we submitted our first draft to our professor it was said to be common so we challenged ourselves to do more than what we are capable of so we ended up creating a new venture proposal.
After exploring different ideas we came into an agreement for the new venture proposal that deals with the opportunity for us to establish our business which is to provide for the client an answer to the scarcity of medicines especially for those who live far from pharmacies and for those who are confined to their homes particularly during this pandemic. Our proposed solution is to provide a safe avenue that the consumers can use to purchase medicine through an online app that we will provide which is legal, convenient, and ensuring that the privacy of the client will be protected. We will deliver the purchased medicine door-to-door to the client. We also offer better pricing than traditional pharmacy, as well as greater accessibility, lower transaction, product expenditures, and reduce the fear of social interaction for consumers in this time of pandemic. Young adults would definitely maximize the benefits of our app due to their busy schedules and lifestyle. The app would pave an avenue for safe and efficient access to medicines they need anytime. The system of financial management and means to earn of this app would basically circulate on verifying consumer accounts, orders, prescription, and modes of delivery. Firstly, this app's business would validate customers' personal account through them providing financial account (credits/insurance) information, as this online pharmacy is licensed to operate business by the law. The app will only permit order with legitimate prescription. The earning method would fall on the payment of delivery, extra payment for overnight operations, additional medicine/brand profits from the suggested retail prices.
The lessons that we’ve learned in creating this venture proposal is that there is no limit as to what you can do if you only put your heart and thoughts in doing it. Teamwork plays a vital role in achieving greatness and it helped us see our potential to innovate ideas.

The Mind of an Aspiring Entrepreneur
Tumblr media
I am the type of person who is interested into creative innovations that are beyond my ability to comprehend upon where they got the idea or the inspiration of the project itself and also to people who are not afraid of taking risks in the business field that may lead to bad or good outcomes that creates opportunities for everyone. I was privileged enough to get exposed into entrepreneurship since high school and pick up the concepts along the way. Today, I was happy that despite taking a medical course I am still exposed to entrepreneurship in college and now I am going to talk about the introduction of entrepreneurship based on my learning to the topic.
As we had our discussion about the different kinds of startups I was surprised because this was the first time that I encountered the word ‘technopreneurship’ since it wasn’t introduced to me before so basically the concept of it is that it is Science and Technology-based project that is scalable and impactful and if you are maximizing this you are called as a technopreneur which basically revolutionizing prevailing economic order and making the best use of technology that you have and also you introduce fresh ideas of products and services to the market. I got curious as to what are the example of it that I get to see or use every day so I researched and basically Facebook is one of the examples of technopreneurship that we get to use in a daily basis. Disruptors was also discussed and these are the things or person that hinders the system, process, or events in short they disrupt something causing trouble that’s why they’re called disruptors. The misconceptions was also discussed which really made sense because it was proven that the system of entrepreneurship is not linear it is complex and is people oriented, has many unwritten rules, and has not enough data to make a plan, cannot be taught prescriptively it must be learned inductively.
I am looking forward in learning more concepts and ideas about entrepreneurship and I know that there are some point in the process that might get hard, challenging, unclear and uncertain, requiring strategic thinking, I will not falter because the most important thing despite these is that I will have fun and learn something new along the way.
