This is for my dear @owlapin for the Carnage Clown Car gift exchange. Who requested a story centered around @freedomconvicted‘s domestic AU and Sleeper. I went for an absurd humor/horror sitcom field and needless to say I managed to disturb myself :D 

After the Prescott’s mysterious disappearance, Cletus and Red settle into their new house after it’s been sufficiently dusted for prints. Now, as Cletus prepares for his Sleeper’s visit, he intends to introduce  to his brother-in-law to his new nephew. However, klyntar are known for their cannibalism, and Sleeper has expensive tastes being the head honcho of the alien mafia. Will this uncle/nephew meeting go well? Or are Cletus and Red going to have to try for baby number two until they get it right?

my new magnum opus, i have painted this picture of sleeper and his komodo dragon jeremy that he might have hanging in the foyer of his giant mansion

i also got it printed on canvas and hung it where he can judge me while i work. i wanted to get it 12ft x 12ft but my roommate said that was “wildly unrealistic” and “wouldnt fit through the door to our apartment” so i went for 12 inches instead

How does Toxin feel about his parents and uncle? What about his other aunts and uncles?

He absolutely loves Cletus when he’s little, but the older he gets the more he starts to realize that he’s taken on more of the caretaker role, and how shitty of a person Cletus actually is.but for the longest time his dad was his best friend and he still has love for him, but it’s complicated.He hates Red on a genetic, pathological level

He also loves Sleeper and grows to view Sleeper a better father figure than Cletus, but part of him can’t let go of his relationship with Cletus because there’s still that love, even though he knows it’s unhealthy

uhh, as for everyone else, just kind of how someone would view their aunts and uncles they don’t see very often

Do the Life Foundation symbiotes exist in the Meet The Kasadys AU? (Also I really love this AU and everything I learn only makes me love it more.)

im so glad, cuz we’ve spent a lot of time talking about this au 😂 (im not really sure if it’ll ever get entirely shared publicly just cuz theres So Much of it, and some of us draw some stuff or write fics here or there but theres no big difinitive thing we have sdflkj)

the life foundation symbiotes still exist, they come into existence p much in line with canon, they aren’t raised by venom or anything but their paths cross with sleeper and red here and there. we don’t have anything super involved about them yet but we might get something eventually. except darkling is writing a fic w MtK scream u can read here! https://archiveofourown.org/works/20199721/chapters/47863714

How did Tel-Kar come to be Sleeper's butler?

ok so after all this stuff

sleeper and red are adults now and already :/ at tel-kar but he is foolishly very arrogant and they are, in a way, emotionally dependent on him like youll see in many abusive relationships, but the last straw is when he puts a hit out on venom

the vigilante venom has been a thorn in our side for too long! tel-kar says. sleeper freezes. red says, good riddance.

but no way is sleeper going to let anyone kill his father(s). him and red swiftly and violently stage a coup, red mostly just for sleeper’s sake and out of no love for her father(s). P much, they kill everyone loyal to him, cut out his tongue. sleeper gets off some sort of one-liner. some repeat of some crap thing tel kar used to say to insult them, its super badass but i cant remember what it was. chain him up in the basement and torture him for at least a year. after THAT and with some of sleeper’s pheromone shit hes a bit more compliant, and the butler thing is purely his punishment of humiliation, and they throw trash at him constantly and sleeper makes him stand and stare into the sun and act like a footstool and all manner of other crap like he used to do to them

tel-kar occasionally attempts to murder sleeper, but the shit they put him through after one of those attempts is just not worth it so he’s just kind of begrudgingly accepting of his lot in life at this point 😂

tel kar also functions as a body guard bc “im the only one allowed to kill you” trope

what shared trauma do they have??

so okay along with the abandonment and guilt issues bc of venom (written here), they left the sewers and attempted to live in the city on their own, they end up coerced/kidnapped into tel-kars (god rest his canon soul) crime family, because do you know how much baby klyntar cost on the black market?? these things are killing machines and we found two just wandering around!

tel-kar pretty much treats them like shit and like tools, forcing them into dangerous situations for heists and shit, and does a bunch of fucked up shit to them like throwing red into a soundproof metal room w no light for a week as punishment for misbehaving and its dark in there like the sewer and she reverts to her feral goo form… and then he makes sleeper think that he’ll let her out if sleeper does everything he tells him to perfectly, like, stand in a corner for 12 hours and dont move a muscle, and now sleeper is a perfectionist and red is afraid of the dark, amongst even more emotional and verbal abuse into their adulthood

Could you tell us about what kind of relationship Red and Sleeper have with Venom and Eddie?

(i am going to refer to the both venom and eddie as “venom” bc they p much act as a unit, much like in canon ((GOOD canon, you know what i mean)))¹

venom abandoned red after she was born, leaving her to fend for herself eating rats in the sewer and following around venom at a distance for scraps for a few years until she got big enough to start pulling humans and such down from the surface. venom is always trying to chase her away and regards her as evil and horrible.

Is there anything about Cletus that Sleeper appreciates? Or is he simply so protective of Red's feelings he bites his tongue for the sake of her happiness? Does Cletus actually love Red?

he definitely really genuinely truly loves her, like his entire fucked up lifes goal is to create this idyllic family that he never had, and with all the ladies he’s tried to do that before he p much viewed as more of an means to create his fantasy family life (though he did believe he loved them) but he truly met his match (haha) with Red. his life goal is now to Be With Her and he is horrifically, obsessively in love, and shes the only thing he has or will ever love in his whole life

as for sleeper and cletus, probably literally the only thing sleeper likes about him is that he makes Red happy and that hes a relatively good dad to his children (sleeper loves the kids and ends up being more of a parent to toxin and scorn than Red is), but he doesnt think that loving her itself really makes him good enough for her. hes plenty vocal about his dislike of cletus until red really lays it out for him, that she loves this human and sleeper Had Better Deal With It if he doesnt want to push her away, after which he just begrudgingly accepts him as an inconvenience that he’ll put up with for reds sake.

despite this, cletus still eventually manages to become sleepers best friend (besides red) and i think thats a hilarious testament to how sleeper has no friends (he is incredibly closed off to everyone)

What is Sleeper, Red and Cletus's relationship in Meet the Kasadys?

hoo boy ok im gonna get into it, sleeper and red grew up together and they are very close, in fact they are dangerously codependent on each other due to shared trauma. sleeper and red work together being alien mob dons, which she gives up to have a family w cletus.

sleeper at first thinks shes just toying around w this human and pretty much ignores him and constantly calls him the wrong name just to mess w the both of them, and then when red gets pregnant with toxin and talks about keeping the baby bc cletus wants it, thats when sleepers like oh shit, she is serious. sleeper also generally hates humans.

(side note, klyntar still reproduce asexually in this universe but cletus doesnt know that ((at first)) and he thinks the kids are really genetically related to him and red is too worried to tell him otherwise)

sleeper generally thinks cletus is a fucking wreck and doesnt want him and red together at first, but he wants red to be happy so he tolerates him while still being incredibly annoyed.

cletus has a huge bro-crush on sleeper and wants to hang out with him a bunch and desperately wants his attention, while sleeper constantly leaves his texts on read, but it doesnt deter cletus at all cuz hes still constantly coming over for bro time and harassing sleeper trying to hang out with him, and they get into misadventures bc of cletus’s dumbassery.
