boys deserve positivity boys are not inherently rapists, abusers, oppressors, etc. just because they are men. boys need body positivity. femme boys need positivity. masc boys need positivity. non-passing trans boys need positivity. male-id'ing gnc people need positivity. boys have problems that aren’t just erased by being men: the societal “you should’ve liked it” rape/sexual abuse mindset the idea that boys can’t be abused/raped/etc the idea that a masc boy is inherently toxic because he enjoys his masculinity the idea that ALL boys have privilege the idea that trans boys are “betraying females to join the oppressor class” the idea that boys can’t/would never have mental illnesses/eating disorders/body image issues/confidence issues/etc. because they are boys the idea that boys aren’t hated solely because they’re boys
i could go on but end of story is boys need positivity

Broken Rain part 7: Closer
Kaito always loved the things Meiko said when she felt inspired. She got a lot of them from her mother, who was a singer and wrote beautiful, poetic lyrics for her songs. One of Kaito's favorite things Meiko had told him was that sometimes, people do have soulmates. Maybe they were born under the same star, and were fated to meet. It was just a matter of time.
He often wondered if he had a soulmate, and if he did, when he would meet them. Maybe on a blind date, or by chance in a hallway of some building, or on a rainy day when one offered to share their umbrella. He had his own secret dream, however, of meeting his soulmate under the stars and immediately getting along, and sharing their first kiss in the cool evening.
As he walked into home economics, ready to begin cooking for the soup competition, he saw Gakupo sitting at the table waiting for him and he couldn't help but notice that it made his heart flutter.
"Hi, Gakupo! How's it going?" he asked, sitting down and looking around to see if the teacher was there yet.
"Eh, same as always. How about you? Oh, did you get the recipe card?" the purple-haired boy responded.
"Yeah, it's in my folder," Kaito said with a grin as he pulled it out. The teacher walked into class at the same moment, pulling out her clipboard to take attendance. Once she made sure that everyone was present, the students were free to start making their soup.
Kaito and Gakupo were assigned to the orange kitchen. There were two parts to the home ec classroom- there was the classroom, with the desks, storage cabinets, and counters where the sewing machines were. And then there was the kitchen, which had 5 small kitchen areas. Each kitchen had a microwave, cabinets where some ingredients were stored, a gas stove, and a sink. The cabinets held flour, sugar, baking powder, cups, utensils, bowls, and plates, as well as pots and pans and anything else they might need. There was a table for each kitchen in the center of the room, where students would sit and eat their finished food.
Kaito read over the recipe quickly, then went over to the table by the teacher's desk to  collect the ingredients they needed. He got some beef, onion, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, black beans, chili powder, and garlic, then returned to their kitchen.
"So...did you move here? Where did you used to live?" Gakupo asked, a little nervous. "I've never seen you before this year."
"I moved here 'cuz my sister got a full-ride scholarship to the college around here. She's really smart, and her girlfriend goes to the college here too, so it was really lucky," the bluenette replied with a grin. "Did you move here too? You're always quiet and you don't really seem to have friends so.." His cheeks flushed awkwardly.
"I didn't move here, I've lived in the city my whole life." Gakupo smiled bitterly as he said this, tossing the beef in a pot and stirring it carefully. "What classes do you have?"
"Umm..." Kaito thought for a minute before responding. "I have choir first, then language arts, math, and science...I know we have the same lunch, and then I have art, history, and this class. Although I'm not sure what the real order  is, since our classes switch around every day."
Gakupo chuckled, "Yeah, that part is a little annoying." He continued to stir the beef, looking over at the bluenette as he chopped the onion and garlic. Kaito really was too cute, in his mind at least. He cleared his throat softly, then spoke again. "Hey, Kaito? I know this question might be a little too personal, but...if you could wish for anything, what would you wish for?"
Kaito looked up, his blue eyes looking straight into the other boy's purple ones. "...I'm not sure...Love, I guess. And happiness," he mumbled.
"Me too," replied Gakupo. He took the cutting board full of chopped onion and garlic and added it to the beef, stirring it around to make sure it was perfect.
The two of them talked as they cooked for the rest of the class,  and their chili turned out a little bit burnt but still good. By the time the bell rang, it was clear to anyone who saw them that they had become friends.

Broken Rain part 6: Stargazer
Sometimes in the evenings, Gakupo would go for a walk. He'd go around sunset or after dark, when the stars were coming out. He'd keep his backpack on of course, just to make sure nothing got stolen. He always went the same way, on a trail through the park that was mostly well-lit.
His walks would always take him to a hill. It was a big hill, and in the winter it was where all the kids would go sledding. There was a cluster of trees at the top, and they always stood out, darker than the night sky. Sometimes he'd go up and sit under them, wait for a shooting star, and make a wish.
He walked up the hill like normal that  night. He was almost under the trees when he realized he wasn't alone. A soft voice could be heard, talking to what seemed like the air...a voice he recognized. Kaito's voice. Soft, gentle, and like magic to his ears...
Kaito was talking to the stars.
Gakupo quietly stood there and listened, just letting the world melt away and focusing on Kaito's voice. His tone seemed almost melancholy as he said something about being under the stars in a dream, holding the hand of a boy he loved.
"I wish I could make it real, but I don't like anyone yet. I'm sure there isn't anyone who likes me either, but I can dream. For now, I'll just be happy for Meiko and Luka and hope that when one of them proposes, the other says yes. I'll just keep going...besides, high school isn't really time to focus on love anyways, is it?" Kaito asked, sighing softly. "I dunno, I get decent grades and I'll probably be able to go to college...I'll probably get into culinary school, but I still want to fall in love...There's someone out there for me, right?"
Hearing this made Gakupo want to run up and hug him. He knew he couldn't, though- it was creepy, they didn't really know each other, and he was already spying. Turning around, he headed back down the hill and started back to his little box.
He knew he liked Kaito. He just had to accept that fact, but there was something about it that felt...wrong. He and Kaito weren't really friends. They didn't know each other, and what if Kaito hated him? What if he said something so bad to the bluenette that they'd never be able to talk to him again? He still could barely even talk to the boy, and he was already so anxious...stupid, wasn't it?
Curling up on his side, Gakupo let out a heavy sigh and pulled his jacket over him. He thought about what Kaito had said, and he thought about how he felt...it was overwhelming. Eventually he managed to close his eyes and fall asleep, slipping away into dreamland.
He didn't usually dream, but tonight the universe seemed to have a surprise for him. He found himself among the stars, floating as if he was underwater. Little space creatures floated around him, leading him to the moon, where a shadowed figure was waiting. As he got closer, parts of the figure became more visible- bright red hair, fiery eyes, a short childlike body...and the velvety purple dress that they were dressed in. Before he knew it, he was standing right in front of them, looking down into their eyes.
"What is your wish?" they asked, their face staying emotionless.
Gakupo thought for a while, digging deep into his mind. What did he want? There were so many small things, like money, a home, a good grade on a test. And there were bigger things too like his mother's love, Kaito's friendship, romance, and...happiness.
Closing his eyes, he finally responded to the question. "I...I want to be happy. True happiness...that's my wish."
The figure smiled at him, their eyes softening. "You will be. You'll be happy soon, don't worry," they said, then vanished.
Gakupo woke up to dreary skies and rain pouring down, the clouds thick in the sky. He stood up quickly, grabbed his bag and ran to school as fast as he could, hoping he wouldn't be late.
Another day, same as always.

Broken Rain part 5: The Soup Competition
Gakupo's favorite class was home economics. Why wouldn't it be? He took a course that was mainly focused on cooking, and the students got to eat all the recipes they cooked. Free food was Gakupo's favorite thing, especially since the school food was...well, school food. Plus, Kaito was in his class, so he got to see more of the blueberry boy.
It was that Monday that the teacher announced they'd be having a soup competition. They'd be put into groups of two because it was such a small class, and then they would choose a recipe for soup and make it. The project would last for two days, and all the soups would be judged on the second day.
As soon as she was done explaining the project,  the teacher went around to all the tables and assigned groups. She did her best to pair the students with someone they didn't know very well, thinking that working with someone new might spark new friendships. Gakupo's table was the very last one that she got to, and she assigned him to the only other person who didn't have a group yet- Kaito Shion.
Walking over to Kaito's table, Gakupo silently cursed himself. If he was going to do the entire lab with his crush, he'd most likely let himself slip and show emotion, kindness even. He didn't want to let anyone know his secret, because who knew how many people Kaito talked to every day?
Almost all of those negative feelings melted away the second that Gakupo sat down at the table by Kaito. The blueberry boy had a big smile on his face, as if he was excited to see Gakupo. There was no way...
"Hi, Gakupo!" Kaito said happily, his eyes lighting up. "What kind of soup do you like best?"
Gakupo scratched the back of his head, then said, "Anything is fine. As long as it doesn't have a million ingredients or ten chili peppers."
A small laugh came from Kaito and he turned his tablet around. "What do you think of this? It's a recipe for a black bean chili that doesn't look too spicy, and it's got beans and tomatoes and ground beef. It's pretty simple."
Gakupo nodded. "Sure, that sounds good."
"Alright then, I'll copy down the recipe!!" Kaito said with a big smile as he started writing down the ingredients and directions on a sheet of lined paper, then handed it to the teacher. "So, um...Since we're going to be working together, don't you think we should get to know each other a little bit?"
Silence settled at the table as the blueberry boy waited for Gakupo's response. His cheeks turned a bit pink. "Sorry if you're uncomfortable with that, I just think we'd be really good friends if we got to know each other."
"...I'll think about it," Gakupo murmured. "Maybe when we're eating the chili." The corners of his mouth turned up into a small smile, and he chuckled a bit. "You dork. We're already working together, of course we'll get to know each other."
Relief flooded Kaito's face, and he let out a small laugh. "Haha, good! I thought you were gonna say no for a second." He would have continued talking, but the bell rang at that moment and class was dismissed. Gakupo stood up quickly, tucking his binder and notebook under his arm and rushing off to his next class, while Kaito took a bit longer to make sure what he was carrying was organized by size. It was another one of his quirks, something else that Gakupo thought of as adorable...but, of course, he'd never let the blueberry boy know that. If Kaito ever found out what Gakupo thought of him, it'd be all over.
Or would it...?

Broken Rain part 4: Thoughts
Gakupo Kamui had too many questions. Not in general, but for a certain someone. It was a certain person's fault that he was on the streets, and another person's fault that he pushed everyone away.
He'd made the worst decision when he came out to his mom as gay. She was a strong-believing Catholic and declared that he'd committed a terrible sin, and then disowned him. He'd moved in with his boyfriend at the time, who was two years older and had an apartment of his own. There was only a small problem.
As soon as Gakupo moved in, his boyfriend, Leon, had been out more often. He rarely came home. And then one day, Gakupo came back to the apartment early from school after getting sick, and he walked in on Leon making out with another boy. A boy he'd never seen before. He'd run out of the apartment and hadn't come back until the next day. He and Leon argued and fought, and he ended up running out and hitchhiking out of town. Broken-hearted, he locked up his ability to love and threw away the key. At least, he thought he did.
Even now, he thought about Leon. He yelled at him in his brain, asking him questions. Over and over again. Hating him for cheating, but most of all hating Leon for leaving him alone all the time.
As he pushed those thoughts out of his mind, someone else entered Gakupo's head. The blue-haired boy, whatever his name was. Kaito, wasn't it? Yes, that was him. The new kid, the boy with such pretty blue eyes. The boy who made his heart beat as if a gun was being held to his head every time he saw him.
Gakupo didn't try to keep Kaito out of his head. He just let thoughts of the boy, who seemed so sweet, relax his troubled mind. He'd never tell anyone else about this. It would be far too embarrassing, and Gakupo wouldn't be able to live it down. Ever.
He stretched out his hand, looking up towards the underside of the bridge. It was cold out here, and he hated it. With a small sigh, he retreated into his box and curled up under the pile of old blankets, burying his face in the cold material of his backpack. Tears slowly slipped from his eyes as he settled into a cold, dreamless sleep.
When he woke up, he wasn't cold at first. He felt almost as if something warm was wrapped around him, and a smile twitched at the corners of his lips. However, as soon as he sat up, it was all gone, and he was almost going to be late for school. Grabbing his backpack and pulling it on, he breathed out heavily and began walking, heading two blocks away to the high school. Tiring. That was the only way to describe it. Everything was so tiring, and he felt as if the world was pushing him closer to the edge of a cliff, challenging him not to fall off.
The second that Gakupo stepped inside, he saw Kaito talking to one of the teachers. Today the blueberry boy was dressed in a white hoodie and gray high-waisted sweatpants, and high-top sneakers with rainbow flags on the side. Heat rushed to Gakupo's cheeks and he hurried away before anyone saw him blush, or heard his heart pounding again. He questioned himself over and over. Why was that boy so adorable?! What did Gakupo see in him, anyway? It wasn't like he was special, except for how cute he was...
Gakupo allowed himself to smile as he put in his locker combination. His computer was there waiting for him where he'd left it the night before, not trusting himself to take it off school grounds. Taking his homework out of his backpack, he grabbed the small pencil from its place underneath his binder and headed to class, his smile refusing to disappear. He was happy. Being able to see Kaito's adorableness was good enough, even if they weren't friends.

Broken Rain part 3: Evenings
Once the last bell rang to dismiss the students from school, Gakupo went to his locker like everyone else. Except his end-of-the-day routine was a little bit different. He put his school-issued computer in his locker, made sure everything that was valuable was in his locker, then put the remaining items in his bag and left school. He went outside with all the other kids who walked home, then headed to the coffee shop down the street where he worked for small shifts. Once his shift was over on weekdays, he'd walk down to an older corner of town, go underneath the overpass of train tracks, turn a corner into an alley, and duck behind an abandoned building. He had a large cardboard box back here that he slept in, underneath the bridge that went over the river. He'd seen one or two other homeless people here before, but not that much.
He always told his teachers that he didn't have Internet at home, which was true. He didn't have a home either, but he didn't tell them that. So he'd do all his assignments on paper, writing down the answers in slanted but neat handwriting. Once he was done with that, it'd usually be around sunset, and he'd immediately retreat to the inside of his box and curl up under his collection of old blankets, hugging his backpack to his chest. You never know who might sneak up on you in the middle of the night.
Kaito, on the other hand, did things differently in the evenings. He'd grab his backpack from his locker and put whatever he needed into it, then take the bus back home to the apartment that he shared with his sister. He'd let himself into the apartment since Meiko usually had a class around the time he got home, and he'd do his homework. Sometimes with a small snack like some nuts or a fruit, but mostly just homework. Once he'd finished his homework, he'd go to his new job at the small convenience store that was just two blocks away. When he got home, either he or Meiko would make dinner, and they'd eat it at the table together. After dinner, Kaito did dishes while Meiko did her own homework, and they'd usually be ready for bed by 9 PM. The two of them didn't share a room, but their small bedrooms were across the hall from each other. Most nights they'd fall asleep in their own rooms: Kaito cuddled up under his soft blue bedding, his arms wrapped around his teddy bear, and Meiko burrowed under her gray, normal-looking sheet set. Sometimes, however, if one of them had a bad day, or if one had nightmares, they'd curl up in the other's bed and fall asleep happy, snuggled up in the other's arms.
Sometimes, Meiko's girlfriend Luka would stay the night. Luka was a fun, caring and shy person who was always adorable as hell, and Meiko would shower her in affection anytime. Whenever Luka stayed over, Meiko smiled twice as much as usual, and always fell asleep with Luka curled in her arms.  Kaito had seen them several times when he got up to go to the bathroom at night, and he often chuckled when he saw them together.
To tell the truth, Gakupo was jealous of the other kids. The ones who had homes and parents and warm meals every night. He'd never show how jealous he was, but he hated it. To him, everyone else took their advantages for granted. They'd never expect it if they suddenly couldn't eat, or couldn't sleep under a roof. To have the privilege of a coat in winter be yanked away from them.
Ah, winter. Another thing that Gakupo hated. Snow. Ice. Freezing rain. The cold temperatures that made him sick every year. Snow days, when he'd have nothing to do but walk in circles so he didn't freeze. He'd often work as much as possible in winter, that way he wouldn't have to be stuck outside in the cold. The coffee shop was heated, and he'd sometimes be able to get a free drink.
Maybe things would get better someday, he thought as he drifted off to sleep on that particular night. He'd forgotten all about Kaito, about the new kid who seemed to be a problem.

Broken Rain part 2: First Day
Okay, so the first guy he met wasn't very social, or very polite. Kaito could deal with that, couldn't he?
He could. Even though he'd been bullied in his last school, he didn't feel like doing anything differently. His mother had always told him that he didn't need to change himself for other people, just that he needed to wait for the right people to come along. And he'd taken her advice. He didn't take any of his pins off his backpack, in fact he had a few more that he planned on getting. He didn't change the kind of clothes he wore, or what color his hair was. He wasn't afraid to be himself anymore.
Even the fact that the first person he'd talked to seemed like a complete asshole didn't faze him. He plugged his earbuds into his phone and turned on his playlist, gently tapping his foot to the beat. Not too soon, the bell rang, and students dispersed to go to their first-period class. Kaito tucked his phone and earbuds back into his backpack, pulled the folded-up schedule out of his pocket, and headed to find his locker. It wasn't too far, number 113 in the hall on the very left. He got his combination right after about three tries, and hung up his backpack inside. He grabbed what he needed for his first class, choir, and then shut his locker.
Choir class was located in the auditorium. It was in a hallway on the east side of the school, in what looked like an older part of the building. He wasn't sure what to expect when he pushed open the door, but it surprised him.
It was a big room, almost like the auditorium in the private school he used to go to. Three sections of blue chairs went from the back wall to a few feet from the stage, and several students were already sitting down. In the front of the room was the stage, made of dark wood and looking professional. The teacher stood in front of the stage, behind a podium, and a piano sat a few feet away. He decided to ask her what he should do.
———————————————
By the time his first four classes were over, Kaito felt even happier than he had when he first arrived. He'd already made two friends, one in choir class and one in science. There was only a small group of boys in choir, and the majority of them seemed to be in their own group because their voices were completely changed. Kaito and one other boy were the only ones who could sing alto on certain songs as well as baritone.
He'd already managed to memorize his schedule for the morning: choir, then language arts, then math, and then science. He had the majority of his required classes in the morning, which made the day easier to get done. After fourth period, he went to lunch for half an hour, and  then to homeroom for half an hour. In the afternoon he'd go to art class, then history, and home ec eighth period, and then he'd go home.
The cafeteria was full when he walked into lunch, and there was only a small table left empty. Well, actually, it wasn't completely empty. The purple-haired boy from earlier was sitting there, slowly eating the chicken and rice bowl that had been served for school lunch. The high school seemed to have decent lunches here, but it didn't stop Kaito from always bringing his lunch from home.
He decided to take his chances and sat down at the table with the purple-haired guy, pulling out his sushi box and his book. He opened the plastic container and picked up one of the sushi rolls with his chopsticks. Meiko wasn't the best at cooking, but she was pretty good at making homemade sushi.
Fortunately, the purple-haired guy didn't even look at Kaito during lunch. He just sat there, his eyes wandering around the room. He seemed deep in thought, his face fairly blank of emotions. Not that Kaito was really paying attention. He left the cafeteria with a smile when the bell rang.

Broken Rain part 1: The New Kid
The leaves were already growing back. Spring was definitely in the air. Green grass, green leaves, flower buds popping out of the ground. And, of course, spring would mean that summer break was only a few more months away. At least the teachers didn't get any more positive just because the weather got nicer and nature looked "alive". At least spring meant playing tennis in gym class, which mean getting to serve the ball and take all your anger out on the small yellow-green object.
Gakupo Kamui seemed to hate pretty much everything in the world. If you didn't know him, that is. The truth was, he had quite a few things he was passionate about. He just didn't have any way to do them anymore, and he didn't bother trying. He had a complete "just-leave-me-the-hell-alone" attitude about him. A perfect example of an edgy teenager who was also a total asshole. He wore dark clothes. Talked back to the teachers. Did his work poorly or not at all, and didn't have friends.
Today, a cold wind blew across the town as students got off the bus, got out of their parents' cars or their own cars, got off their bikes, or just walked up the plain old sidewalk and went into the school. The day started just like any normal Monday, with the car kids, bikers, and walkers going into the gym and the bus riders, along with anyone who ate breakfast, went into the cafeteria. Gakupo got free breakfast and lunch. A lot of kids did, as the town wasn't very rich or very nice.
He took his place in the line to get the stale biscuit smothered in fake gravy that was being served that morning. The food all tasted the same to him, and some days he questioned why he kept eating it. If he didn't eat, he'd starve to death, wouldn't he? But that would take so long, and it'd be so painful...and besides, something better had to come along sometime.
The principal's shoes thumped on the floor, and his deep voice was softly heard, followed by what sounded like a girl, but with a lower-than-average female voice. An unfamiliar one, too. Turning around, Gakupo's eyes scanned the people behind him. It didn't take long to find the source of the voice, but it still surprised him.
That voice came from a boy. The voice full of happiness and energy, with a touch of femininity, came from a boy who Gakupo had never seen before. He had blue hair and was dressed in a cyan jacket overtop a brown sweater, paired with dark brown jeans and a pair of black sneakers. He had brilliant blue eyes that met Gakupo's purple ones for just a moment, and that was enough to make the purple-haired male turn around sharply, his face red. Well, shit. So the new kid was a bit cute. He'd probably be annoying as hell and easy to hate, so it didn't matter at all. Moving forward with the line, Gakupo tossed a few items onto his tray and punched his lunch number into the cashier's machine, then found a seat at the end of one of the tables, making sure to sit away from other people. No such luck.
The blue-haired boy had made his way over to the table and placed his backpack down. It had galaxy patterns all over it, and a few pins on one of the pockets. A pin supporting gay pride, a pin with a flower on it, and a pin with a piece of cake on it. How stupid.
"I hope you don't mind that I sit here. There aren't many other places," he said with a nervous chuckle. "My name's Kaito. What's yours?"
Jeez. Not only did this idiot look stupid, but he seemed childish as well.
"Leave me alone, idiot." Gakupo glared at him, then returned to eating the bland food.
"...Oh. Okay. Sorry!" He grinned, somewhat awkwardly, and then turned around in his seat so he was facing the other tables.
"Good," Gakupo thought. "That was easy. Idiot's already out of the way."
He had no idea how wrong he would be.

Curtain Call part 7
Monday, November 5th, 20XX
-Luka-
It seems as though night is the most comfortable time for me. It's peaceful here, lying under the covers wrapped in Meiko's arms. If I'm careful I can let my mind wander, exploring the better memories of the past. I roll over and look at the clock on the side table. It's about 6:43 AM, unless the clock has the wrong time. I shiver a bit and snuggle up under the covers again.
The sun is peeking through the trees outside, ready to rise up and warm the world a little more. Today will be a good day. We have a special concert for Meiko today, to celebrate her birthday. The rest of us all have our songs too, but Meiko has two to sing. However, that's not the best part of the day. Once we've finished our events for the day, we're coming back here to have a little party. Meiko doesn't know about the party yet, but we hope she likes it.
Soft footsteps come from the little RV bedroom and I sit up slowly. Piko is coming into the room, followed by Oliver, Kaito, SeeU and Gakupo. They're making an effort to be silent, for the purpose of not waking Meiko. All of them gather around the pullout couch, and Kaito gives me a thumbs up. I know exactly what to do- we discussed this yesterday.
I gently shake Meiko awake, waiting until I see her brown eyes begin to open. Silently, I count to three in my head, and she raises her head a little.
"Happy birthday, Mei!" Gakupo smiles at her and the others repeat the words. Meiko grins at us and sits up, her eyes bright and happy.
"Morning, everyone!" She slips out of bed and goes into the kitchen area, and the rest of us begin the day as normal. I sigh and slip out from under the covers, feeling my feet on the carpet floor. I pull the blankets off the pullout and fold them, then make the couch normal again.
Gakupo's pouring everyone a bowl of cereal. Meiko's brewing coffee, as she usually does in the mornings. Piko's nowhere to be seen, I assume he's getting dressed. SeeU is sitting on the floor, quietly eating cereal, and so is Kaito. I decide to get dressed, so I take a folded set of clothes from my suitcase and go into the bathroom. The outfit I've chosen consists of a white pinstriped sweater and a pair of blue jeans, simple but comfortable. I change out of my grey nightshirt and into the clothing quickly, then run my fingers through my hair to clear out knots.
When I get out of the bathroom, everyone's sitting around on the floor and eating their food. I sit down on the couch and look at the clock. 7:00. Our concert is in three hours.
———————————————————
The stage lights are almost blinding, shining all over us. It's almost like we're the sun, sending out light to the world.
The audience roars as I step onto the stage with the others. They're here to see us, to see Meiko. Every time I face them, my nerves act up and terrify me, but if I just focus on the music then it's easier to have fun. I'm here to share my song with these people, and they're here to accept the music and listen closely.
Sound bursts from the speakers and the music begins. I sing and dance along with the others, our voices spilling colorful notes through the auditorium. I'm beginning to lose myself in the song, forgetting everything else. When I'm onstage, it seems as though I'm completely normal. Like I'm still a virgin, someone with so much life ahead of them. Someone with nothing to hold them down, not in the past or the future or even the present.
As soon as the music stops, we retreat backstage and leave Meiko onstage to perform her first song. The music is still running through me, and I'm excited to perform my song. I get to do one of my favorites, 'Luka Luka ★ Night Fever'. It's an upbeat song and I love the choreography, it lets me transform myself into a happy young woman who wants to dance with someone.
The concert goes by in a blur. I'm the third one up to perform, and it seems like my song only takes seconds. Once Meiko's finished with her second song, we all line up onstage and take a bow. As we're leaving, I feel Meiko slip her hand into mine and my cheeks grow hot. We make our way back to the RV, as it's time to get back on the road.

Once we get to our campsite for the night, we can hav some free time. I take Meiko to the bedroom area to play some board games while the others get ready for our little party. Soon enough, SeeU comes in and tells me that it's time. I smile, then grab Meiko's hand and lead her too the main room. The others are there, waiting for us.
"Anybody hungry?" Piko asks. "Hinata and I made dinner." He sets down a bowl of cooked ground beef, as well as some bags of corn chips. I'm guessing that we're having the kind of 'tacos' that everyone makes when they're camping. We all take a bag of chips and get a bit of meat, then find a spot on the floor to sit. I smile when I see Piko eating just as much as the rest of us. It seems he's making good progress.
When everyone's finished, Kaito and SeeU smirk at each other, and SeeU gets up to grab something from the fridge. She comes back with a small cake, simple but pretty- it's decorated with red frosting and two strawberries.
"Happy birthday, Meiko," says SeeU with a smile. She set the cake down on the small table in the kitchen area, then got a knife to cut the cake with. The first slice went to Meiko, and the rest were distributed evenly around us. Piko was the only one who refused his slice, he said he wasn't hungry anymore.
I sat next to Meiko, enjoying the cake and her company. It seemed today had been a good day after all...everyone seemed to have fun.
Soon enough, the time grew late, and we were all tired. Gakupo was the first one to go to bed, he was nearly falling asleep as it was. SeeU followed soon after him, and before we knew it we were all heading to bed. I changed into my nightshirt and curled up on the couch, not even bothering to pull it out. I could feel myself drifting away...
