Men started to approach my and ogle at me the time I grew breasts. I was 8. Growing up it was acted as though just having a tank top without a bra was something sexual. I look at myself at 16, 18, and it was so clear I was a child. I looked like a child. Why did grown men find that appealing?
do you ever look at old pictures of yourself as a little girl and genuinely wanna cry knowing that during that time grown ass men were sexualizing you? I was a literal baby how could anyone find that sexually appealing.. like fuck y’all I hope you burn in hell forever

there is a huge difference between criticizing an institution and criticizing individual behavior. i can criticize the makeup industry without criticizing the 14 year old girl who uses concealer because she’s self-conscious about her acne; i can criticize the plastic surgery industry without vilifying the woman who decided to get a nose job after two decades of pointed comments and bullying. it is intellectually dishonest to respond to an institutional criticism as if it were a personal attack; on the flip side, it is cruel and unnecessary to leverage personal attacks in the name of institutional criticism
if i see one (1) more person respond to a perfectly reasonable beauty-industry-critical sentiment with “but i personally enjoy eyeshadow. why are you attacking people who like eyeshadow :(” or “exactly, all women who wear makeup are miserable and brainwashed” i am going to climb a tree and bite the top of it

There are just some positions men cannot be trusted in, even though obviously not all men have a nefarious purpose. I do not want male gynecologists. I do not want male prison guards in female prisons. The amount of sexual abuse is horrific. Men who are low empathy and desire to abuse these positions of power are attracted to them for that very reason.
Some professions, like surgeons, are more “neutral,” but I fully believe a lot of them go into the field because they get pleasure from cutting into unconscious people, who can’t resist. There needs to be more vetting for these jobs that deal with extraordinarily vulnerable people. Some surgeries should have priority for female surgeons, even though obviously that is not always possible, like C sections and mastectomies. I simply do not trust the moral character of men as a class when dealing with women, even though on the individual level it can be different.
girlypop I have a question about your post with the rancid ass take about what jobs men apparently should no longer take. What the fuck do you actually expect men to do?? Because if we go with your suggestion to kick men out of all professions where they might encounter a woman at some point, the only option left would be to stay at home and do nothing all day while the wife does literally everything, which in my books is the exact opposite of feminism (equality) but okay pop off ig 💀
Terfs: ugh men are so shit and stupid and do nothing all day
Men: do a reputable job that helps people
Terfs: ugh how fucking DARE they
Like make it make sense girl
The common denominator among the professions I listed in that post wasn’t simply that men “might encounter a woman at some point.” The common denominator was men, either in positions of authority or asymmetrical power dynamics, having guaranteed and unsupervised access to highly vulnerable individuals.
Men themselves repeatedly demonstrate that these are not positions which they are worthy of when they commit atrocity after atrocity against the individuals under their supervision.
And you know, I could the take time to really showcase why excluding men from these professions is necessary. I could dole out the usual statistics on male depravity, and how it unequivocally spikes when men have access to women who are either undressed, unconscious, isolated, mentally handicapped, or underage. I could mention the frequency of male morticians raping corpses, or the frequency of male prison guards sexually exploiting female inmates, or the frequency of male therapists molesting or fantasizing about their female patients.
I could mention all the Larry Nassars of the medical world, like the male anesthesiologist who raped countless unconscious women, or the male doctor who carved his initials onto women’s abdomens during C-sections, or all the male gynecologists who have been caught taking pictures of women’s vulvas during exams. I could even bring up the fact that in most of these professions, you already have the option to choose a female provider, because other people besides evil radical feminists like myself recognize how catastrophic it can be to give men of authority unsupervised access to highly vulnerable individuals.
But it would all be futile, because at the end of the day, I’m never going to be convinced that naively giving men the benefit of the doubt is ever worth increasing the risk of female victimization, even by a minuscule amount. In reality, assuming the worst in men is often the safest and most reasonable approach, no matter how hurtful your ego may find it. And if that offends you so much, take it up with the men who created these fucking circumstances.

It’s sad how much antisemitism is being propagated. Yes, Palestinians deserve autonomy and they deserve basic human rights - but why is it that there is so much blatant hatred of Israelis and Jews in these demonstrations? The protests and pro Palestine movement needs to focus on ending the war, ending civilian suffering, and throwing out the extremists that actively profit off of Israeli and Palestinian pain. This should be about humanitarianism efforts, not about propagating hatred.
I sat next to the protest today.
I wrote fan-fiction about two gay jewish dads raising children to the play list of the chant- "No peace on stolen land!" on an American college campus. It isn't a name brand one either, nor does it have any legitimate ties to Israel. The anger is just there- it has rotten these future doctors, nurses, teachers, and members of society.
I don't even know what to call their demonstration- it was a tizzy of a Jew hatred affair. At points, there were empathetic statements about Gazans and their suffering. Then outright support of Hamas and violent resistance against all colonizers. Then this bizarre fixation on antisemitism while explaining the globalists are behind everything.
"Antisemitism doesn't exist. Not in the modern day," A professor gloated over a microphone in front of the library. "It's a weaponized concept, that's prevents us from getting actual places- ignore anyone who tells you otherwise."
"How can we be antisemitic?" A pasty white girl wearing a red Jordanian keffiyeh gloats five minutes later. "Palestinians are the actual semites."
"there is only one solution!" The crowd of over 50 students and faculty cried, over and over.
"Been there, done that," I thought, then added a reference to a mezuza in the fourth paragraph.
Two other Jewish students passed where I was parked out, hunching and trying to be as innocuous as possible. We laughed together at my predicament, where I am willingly hearing this bullshit and feeling so amused by this.
"Am I crazy? For sitting here?" I asked them. My friends shook their heads.
"We did the same last week- it's an amazing experience, isn't it?”
We all cackled hysterically again. They left to study for finals. Two minutes later, I learned from the current speaker that “Zionism” is behind everything bad in this world.
Forty-five minutes in, a boy I recognized joined me on my lonely bench. He came from a very secular Jewish family and had joined Hillel recently to learn more about his culture. His first Seder was two nights ago.
He sat next to me, heavy like the weight of the world was on his shoulders. There was just this despondent look on his face. I couldn’t describe it anyone else, but just sheer hopelessness personified.
“They hate us. I can’t believe how much they hate us.” He said in greeting.
And for the first time all day, I had no snarky response or glib. All I could do was stare out into the crowd, and sigh.

Most people would never refer to a breast cancer survivor as mutilated, so why is it ok to do that to trans or detrans people, especially people who got their mastectomies as literal teenagers? It is dehumanizing and it says a lot about the way people view women. If she ain’t got tits, she’s worthless. It’s misogynistic.
to be clear, and this is probably wildly unpopular within the radfem space: I don't care if grown adults decide to medically transition if, and only if, they have had documented, long-lasting dysphoria and have been in therapy for a considerable amount of time. I don't care if grown adults decide to get mastectomy or breast reduction to help alleviate dysphoria if they've been in therapy for a considerable amount of time and are told the risks.
There's a difference between minors getting these surgeries and adults getting them. By calling females who have gotten a mastectomy "mutilated", you aren't only insulting transsexual people.
To all the women who have gotten a mastectomy and regretted it, you are not mutilated. To all the women who have gotten a mastectomy and not regretted it, you are not mutilated. You are all beautiful and strong.

People who ardently believe in gender ideology do not recognize it is a belief system. They think people are born trans just as someone is born gay, therefore stating that you do not believe in a trans person’s identity is an attack on their very sense of self. They see it as equivalent to denying a person is same sex attracted. To them, it is bigotry, rather than ideological disagreement. I would call current trans activism pseudo religious and a pseudo cult at this point. There is no room for dissent, even from other trans people.
Anyone else just feel like. Why are people so aggressively anti-radfem? Kind of rhetorical question because obviously I know why, people see radical feminism as bigotry and stuff. But I have never even misgendered a trans person? Literally the only difference between me and my trans friends is that I don't believe in gender. And hell most of them don't even believe in gender either, just in a way that still validates their identities I guess. The way people talk about radfems/terfs as an evil monolith like bruh I was trans 3 months ago! I am not your enemy!

There needs to be some kind of legal transitional period between the ages of 18-21. There already is in some capacity (US people can’t smoke or drink until 21), but legit we need to compartmentalize legal definitions of adulthood. Plastic surgery should not be allowed until MINIMUM 21. Expanded protection for “new” adults is so important because they absolutely will be taken advantage of by people much older than them. But in the current legal system, they are considered to be adults in the same capacity. It just doesn’t make sense.
Never understood how 18 became the age when minors magically became legal adults in most Western societies. Have you met an 18-year-old? Not to infantilise them but most of them are babbling buffoons (I say that respectfully as a former 18-year-old myself). And you're going to tell me that, under law, an 18-year-old girl is fully allowed to marry a man in his mid 20s to 30s/40s/50s, etc, without any moral side-eyeing or legal intervention because "she's an adult"? The girl who was 17 a few months ago? The girl who just graduated high school? SHE can legally be bind to a man years older than her without there being absolutely no regard to her safety and vulnerability in that situation because she magically learnt how to make adult decisions overnight?

🙄 Gd I hope you’re a teen, it’s embarrassing as hell if you’re an adult and you still act this way. Continue making a fool of yourself, I won’t stop you.
By the way, it’s a very stereotypically feminine trait to pit women against each other based on our looks. Way to prove you’re not a woman ig

"Almost erotic??" Sorry, you're entitled to your own feelings about detransition and while I'm glad this has been an exploratory, rather than traumatic, experience for you, it is not that way for many of us. Many of the so-called TERFs you reference are detrans women. While I agree that many conservatives and GCs use detransitioners like pawns, detrans people cannot "co-opt" our own movement, if there's even a movement at all at this point.
There should be more positivity towards detransition. Positivity that this is an experience you can learn and heal from, regardless of the level of trauma that came with it. Personally, my mastectomy and the effects of HRT on my body are not treasured souvenirs. They are permanent symbols of medical malpractice that I have no choice but to move on from. It seems strange to me that a body that is uncanny or alien would be exciting to experience. Sudden physical changes are uncomfortable and honestly scary for most people because you can't disconnect the mind from the body. Again, you're entitled to feel that way, but the reason most detrans people do not talk about detransition positively is because it is NOT a positive experience for most of us. I will talk about growth after detransition and body acceptance, but I will never pretend that a detransitioner should feel good about permanent changes they regret and cannot reverse.
I wish talking about detransition in any positive way wasn't completely co-opted by terfs and detrans kinks with the most violent, humiliating and degrading fantasies imaginable.
Because there is something profoundly beautiful and almost erotic in watching your own body change into something completely unfamiliar and uncanny, and intensely unexpected. The permanent changes of HRT being treasured souvenirs of a past life and an intrinsic part of you.
Feeling your hair texture change under your own fingertips. Your body changes once, twice, three times, you lose count but it's always uncharted territory. Just an alien shape to your own hips forming contours you don't recognize and will spend your next lifetime, one of many, exploring.

“Exceptions alone do not, however, disprove the validity of generalizations. If I make a generalization that people stop at red lights while driving, certainly it is true that occasionally, some people do not; however it is an accurate and useful statement that people stop at red lights. It describes, with reasonable accuracy, a social phenomenon. To say that the generalization is not true simply because a few people do not fit it, is ludicrous and leaves us unable to describe or name even the most obvious social norms. The overall effect of this turn away from “meta-narratives” is to stop people from being able to describe their social conditions, from being able to generalize about personal experiences in their lives, from being able to see the commonalities of experience that can mobilize them to see problems as political rather than personal. The net effect is a lot of women’s studies students saying, “You can’t really say that,” about even the most basic truths.”
