Possible offspring of Ari and Bacith. Their hatchlings should have equal amounts of ripple vs strike for primary, and all lode and ghost for secondary and tertiary. Primary and secondary of matched ranges of browns, and tertiary of a small range of near-whites.

Dragon: Ari - Dusthide XXY Female
(Ripple scroll applied on 2024-04-21) (Lode scroll applied on 2024-04-21) (Ghost scroll applied on 2024-04-21)
Purchased For: 900 gems Hatched On: 2022-10-21 ID: 81570614
Parentage: Marsha/Jekyl Flight: Earth
Primary: Sable Basic Ripple Secondary: Sable Basic Lode Tertiary: White Basic Ghost Eyes: Primal
Comments: Went looking for an earth primal dragon to turn into a dusthide, since I like having a relevant primal-eyed example of each ancient breed. Spotted this one among the results, already breed changed. No idea if the previous owner had started to gene her up and changed their mind, or if they threw the dusthide (and possibly the primal eyes) at her so they could sell her for more, but she's exactly what I wanted so I snagged her.
My plan was to gene up her and her mate as fossil dragons. I haven't had a definitive answer yet as to whether the new genes like varnish-lacquer, strike-coil, and petrified-lode will be allowed for fossils, but I've gone and fallen in love with the look of lode wings against treasure primaries on them, so I'm going ahead with gening them up anyway. They may turn out to be fossils by the actual subspecies definition; they might not be. But I like them this way.
Ari is the name she came with.

My dusthide dragon pairs so far; mostly tree dragons, since I had three pairs of those hanging out in hibernal waiting for a new breed. These are, in order of geneing up:
Spagnum and Peat, who I originally bought to become brown-green-brown tree dragon auraboas before deciding that, no, I had too many tree dragon auraboas already and tossed them into hibernal. Since they were RTB and didn't require genes I needed to brew or swap for, they got to be my first gened up pair of dusthides.
Pilar and Pilow, whom I'd bought for a modern dragon breeding pair before changing my mind about using Pilow. I was still watching for a better option than him on AH when dusthides came out, and I decided the pair of them worked well for the new breed.
Lauren and Laoren, whom I purchased this week to gene up as brown-green-green tree dragons. I love that antlers gene on males; they turn out looking very regal. Very 'Stag At Bay' too.
Jerrile and Jerrist, one of my clanbound egg hatchlings paired with a blossoming tree dragon ex-scatterscroll project elder dragon I had stashed in hibernal waiting on a new breed. Her tomato primary is just slightly outside my usual range for tree dragon colours, but she works well enough with Jerrist that I decided to go for it and pair them up. And go for gem gene terts, since I liked both spore and veil. Though obviously her being a hatchling means I'll be waiting a while before I can throw them on a nest.
Paline and Palis; he's a second ex-scatterscroll project who also landed on blooming tree dragon colours (on the first of this month, actually), and I loved how blossom looked on him as soon as I did the scry. Thankfully I'd already located a pretty decent mate for him before throwing them both in hibernal, so it was just a question of waiting to be able to swap for a blossom parchment before I could gene them up (and only had to snag a few mums off AH to have the full amount for the trade). They'll be going on a nest tomorrow. Fingers crossed for a big blossoming clutch!
And finally, Ari and Bacith, whom I'd like to gene up as fossil dragons. I'm currently waiting to hear back from the subspecies maintainer if the new genes qualify, as I've kind of fallen in love with the look of lode secondary with treasure gene primaries for the pair of them. Ari came with earth primal eyes, so she can be my relevant primal-eyed example of the breed.

Possible hatchlings from Paline and Palis. As far as I can tell from scrying, they should be more varnish than strike, equal amounts of edged vs spire, and mostly blossom with just a very tiny chance of veil. Primary of browns, secondary of greens, and tertiary including purples, blues, greens, yellows, and oranges.

Comments: My latest scatterscroll project, the prior one having taken only two (!!!) scatters to reach acceptable colours.
Another scatterscroll project that ended on some form of tree dragon colours (blooming, in this case). Yay for having good timing with a new ancient breed that includes blossom among its genes.

Potential offspring of Jerrille and Jerrist. Hatchlings will be an even-handed mix of both parents' genetics (ground-fissure-veil vs display-parade-spores respectively). Primary range of browns edging into reds, Secondary of greens, and tertiary including reds, pinks, near-whites, greys, blacks, and purples.
