i need to get this off my chest and y’all are my only safe outlet.

y’all I lost the love of my life. no he didn’t die, but he decided we needed to take a break so he can focus on his mental health. but the thing is, i’ve been trying to help him remember to take his bipolar and thyroid medication, to talk to his therapist. i did everything i possibly could’ve done for this man and he didn’t take it seriously. i wanted to get better together, as a unit. we’ve been together over a year and a half it shouldn’t be this hard to get honesty from him. i’ve been going a little overboard with my grief. like, i literally took my agony out on my mom because i had no one else to vent to like that.

the intensity of my heartbreak and the pain i’ve been feeling these passed couple weeks is immeasurable. i’m feeling every emotion at once and i’m honestly surprised i haven’t done anything to myself. it’s been a struggle. i lost my home, my job, a piece of my soul is missing. and he doesn’t care. he says he does, but if he did, he’d be making more of an effort for himself. i don’t even care about me at this point. i just want him to be okay and healthy.

he’s out there living his life “trying to be ok” with being without me. i’m so goddam conflicted about how i’m supposed to feel. like, i feel bad for thinking he’s doing the shit he knows i don’t like. i feel bad for not having faith that he’ll do what he needs to do. but on the other hand, it’s what i expect and that makes me feel even worse.

this is going to be the hardest thing i’ve ever had to recover from. i wish i could take a breath and not have my chest tighten with anxiety…
